The new replacement for atlanticbird 4 that is atlantic bird 4a according to flysat it has only wide beam. 10758v which,was previously on ab4 was on steerable beam which has more footprint over nigeria. if ab4a appears to be bad news for tracking this nilesat at this time. who knows what will happen if eutelsat replace the aged nilesat 101and102 . God forbide we may require 6meter dish to be able to pick nilesat, and nilesat has less than 3yrs left,to be replaced by nilesat 201.

I have this theory-cost cutting measures and the activities of sharp Nija guys may cause the owners of Nilesat to reduce their EIRP,afterall we are just getting awoof But because of Sudan and maybe chad they be maintain status quo. I had earlier advised that starsat is better,Pitodenz also agreed with me. I suspect that its cheaper in the North here.

fxproff<< echolink will work with any dish size solong the dish gathers enoughnsignal for it to decrypt. However your location determines your dish size. if you are in abuja,northwards to my own location,a 1.8m dish might do. But if you are in Southern Nigeria generally a 2.4m dish is recommended. The exception is that Adewest is able to deploy advanced Nano tweaking and material selection to achieve some awesome juju successes.
Though personally I think starsat is slightly better than echolink.
Pitodenz<< I think PH is located in an area whose topo-geochemical xteristics is of a magnetic soup in nature, hence your inability to access good signals. Alternatively you may need to run a 2hr course in NANO tweaking from Adewest, so that you can be able to trap brownian signals modified as a result od your magnetic soup

Breaking News: Kaduna price Echolink with the jujucard is 15k. Starsat(I prefer amd recommend it) with jujucard is 16k500.My projections is that there will be a 500bucks reduction every week. There is already speculations that soon upgrade would not be available anymore.

Nilesat has made me Lazy,with the migration of gangsta to my home town,I am left alone,except when I get installation jobs mostly of Nilesat.
I may have to move to suleija or Abuja to meet the gurus who didn't go to India to continue research.from my small experience, Eurostar dish is better than strong, While assembling if you dont tie the bolt and nuts as hard until your hands bleed, you may not get good signal,leading to supporting the dish with a rope.

Nilesat gurus/badaru1/mide2008/enigma,
the 0.2db shop lnb was installed at the weekend but it did not give me improved signal.So,I had to return the fuji lnb which gives me maximum signal of up to 80% on channels like Showtoday.What could be wrong with the shop and gsat.I sawed off the edge and did  all the same things I did for fuji,yet they bring low signals while fuji shoots up as soon as it is installed.

Adewest is a thieve, am suprised that respected gurus on this forum are contacting him, for what? what does he has to offer that we can not get in house? Enigma and General Marshal are abroad,so what do we need that they cannot import for us/

i need to thank all of u gurus, newbies and the onlookers, i don't want to mention names but then few names still comes to mind anyway, badaru,jujukemist,enitan,twinstaiye,olofofo,captainus,gangsta,toxnaija,f_marchal, biggjoe, you all know yourselves. i have read over 60% of this thread and using the knowledge you all freely and genuinely passed down i can say proudly that i have installed nilesat, intelsat 7/10 ku and nss 7 for my friends without any supervision or hassle. it is true that many forums exists on the net but certainly the information one obtain in this forum is relative to Nigeria and Africa soil.
just yesterday i was able to combine the ''lectures'' (post) of toxnaija, gangsta, f_marchal and i think enitan to input nilesat disney keys into my srt4653x and viola, it opens. i didnt even bother any of you with phone calls. to whom much is given, much is also expected. thank you all for being active poster and for sharing.more blessing to you all.
