WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican presidential
candidate Donald Trump gave an aggressive
response to the deadliest mass shooting in U.S.
history, quickly claiming the attack was the work
of an Islamist militant while calling on President
Barack Obama to resign and for Democrat Hillary
Clinton to exit the presidential race.
For Trump, it was an attempt to frame the attack
in Orlando in a light favorable to his campaign for
the Nov. 8 presidential election.
Early on Sunday, when few facts were known about
the shooting, he boasted on Twitter that it proved
he had been right about his warnings over "radical
Islamic terrorism."
In a tweet just hours after the incident, he wrote:
"Appreciate the congrats for being right on radical
Islamic terrorism, I don't want congrats, I want
toughness & vigilance."
Trump has made combating the threat of groups
such as Islamic State a central part of his
candidacy.
It was last December's attack in San Bernardino,
California that killed 14 people that led Trump to
propose a temporary ban on Muslims entering the
United States. Trump re-visited the proposal on
Sunday after at least 50 people died in the attack
on a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. "What has
happened in Orlando is just the beginning. Our
leadership is weak and ineffective. I called it and
asked for the ban. Must be tough," Trump wrote
on Twitter.
In a statement late Sunday, the businessman went
further than U.S. officials investigating the
shootings by asserting that the attack in Orlando
was the work of a "radical Islamic terrorist."
Islamic State, which controls land in Iraq and Syria,
claimed responsibility for the shooting but U.S.
officials said they had seen no immediate evidence
directly linking the militant group to the massacre.
"I'm a Cuban citizen and I'm becoming an
American citizen on July 6 and I'm going to vote
for the first time in my life for Donald Trump," said
Arisley Travieso, 36, who works for a shredding
company.
Traveiso said he supported Trump because the
Republican nominee sees "the problem is Islamic
terrorism. He (Trump) has been saying it nonstop."
Trump ripped Obama for his long-standing refusal
to refer to Islamic State and other extremist groups
as in part representative of the religion of Islam.
"In his remarks today, President Obama
disgracefully refused to even say the words
'Radical Islam'. For that reason alone, he should
step down," Trump said, adding that, "if Hillary
Clinton, after this attack, still cannot say the two
words 'Radical Islam' she should get out of this
race for the presidency."

the house the pastor ran out from
Residents of Wahab Close in Ejigbo in
Lagos State, western Nigeria, were
stunned by the drama that played out in
their area after a pastor who sneaked
into a man’s house to make love with
the man’s wife was caught in the act.
The pastor, who had already pulled off
his pair of trousers and soutane, ran out
wearing only his underwear when the
man, known as Vitalis Okere, barged
into his home.
The action caused commotion in the
street as the residents expressed shock
over what happened.
P.M.News gathered that the pastor,
identified simply as Victor, had
allegedly been sneaking into Okere’s
apartment and was allegedly sleeping
with his wife identified as Chidinma for
several months.
While the alleged illicit affair was going
on, Okere, who is a security guard and
spends much of his time at work, did
not know until their 11-year old
daughter informed him about what has
been going on behind his back
whenever he went to work.
P.M.News gathered that Okere works as
a guard in a company and he leaves
home in the afternoon and returns the
following morning.
While he is away at work, Victor takes
over.
The pastor would sneak into Okere’s
home to meet Chidinma when their five
children had gone to school.
P.M.News gathered that whenever the
children return from school late in the
evening, they would stay outside while
Victor and their mom, Chidinma would
lock themselves inside their room
pretending that they were praying.
The eldest daughter who did not like
what was happening informed their
dad.
On the day the nemesis caught up with
the adulterous pair, Okere dressed up
and told his wife Chidinma that he was
going to work and would return the
following morning.
Victor as usual came with the hope that
Okere had gone to work and would not
be around.
While the pastor and Chidinma locked
themselves inside, and the children
were outside, Okere came back in the
evening and knocked at the door and
asked Chidinma to open the door for
him.
While it was taking them much longer
time to open the door, Okere forced the
door open and Victor rushed out in his
pant, leaving behind his pair of jeans
trousers and soutane in the room.
When Okere confronted his wife about
what she was doing with the pastor
behind closed doors, she said they were
just praying together.
Okere then took the clothes and went to
the police station and reported what
happened.
The clothes were kept as exhibit at the
station and Chidinma was asked to
produce Victor who is now on the run.
When our reporter visited the house
where the incident happened, the eldest
daughter who revealed the whole thing
to their dad said her mom travelled to
their village in Imo State on Wednesday
over the matter. |

Same thing happened to me....i met a guy here on nairaland. He claim to be selling data, so o requested for 1.5gb for 1k..immediately i sent him the recharge card he stopped picking my calls and even blocked me on whatsapp..I have to check his number on Google that's when i realized that he has been posting same data advert in all the celebrities post.i wonder how many people will fall for this scam everyday..Here's his number incase 08038006216 |
