Spouse of PR holder that have the intention of flagpoling at the border for work permit should abort mission. You cannot flagpole at the border if your spouse is a PR. You can only apply online

What i faced today at the border points of entry, was a tough one. The officer asked me alot of questions, from my return ticket to what i do in Nigeria and how much i earn. I regretted ever going. at the end of the whole question he asked me to go apply online.
Hmmm same ere , I went to blue water bridge but I was unable to , for those in case like this you just have to apply online and remain on implied status or better still apply for extension
My only grace is that my return ticket date is still valid because I really don’t know what would have happened.

As God will have it, i got an update on my PR application today after 3months of silence.

Pls I need help, I submitted my passport at VFS on the 26th of May at Lagos VFS, I HV not received any mail from them since them, pls who has experience this and what should I do

Do I have a return ticket? Said yes, it was requested for and my passport was stamped, all in less than a minute.

Though I prepared for secondary inspection, cause it’s my first time leaving Nigeria and my first ever visa application.

Kindly note though, some were not asked for return ticket, some where asked for hotel reservations/pta.

Got email from vfs 2 days ago that it has been received at IRCC Abuja.
But haven’t gotten any email yet since then.. how long more should I wait before it will be ready for collection
My flight is in 12 days time …

If you don’t have much time, send your passport to Abuja for asap stamping.

My passport got to Abuja vfs last week Thursday, I just got a message it’s available for pickup in Lagos. Everything took just a week.

I HV been waiting for mail from VfS too I submitted on Friday, I HV not receive acknowledge mail from VFS should I be worried about it or should I visit VFS office for confirmation,

Booking is not needed. Ensure you are there between 12noon - 2pm.

Ircc want to give me high blood pressure. I submitted my passport last week Wednesday visa dhl, it got to ircc office for stamping on Friday. I was expecting vfs to update me on the stamping, Naso I see “ircc portal” email, I login to my portal and saw “Action required”. Aaaah my spirit almost left my body o. I checked my portal only to see eligibility, background check and final decision has bn updated. Make I go use paracetamol, I dn get slight headache.

Congratulations.

1, YES, you have to go with 2 photocopies of your passport data page along with your original passport.

2, YES, you need 2 copies of a fresh consent form. You can also hold that old consent form just incase they ask for it. I intend going with my old copy too.

I wished I listened to my spouse and applied for Sowp along with visit. I was reluctant because eligibility already started on visit application, I didn’t know they’ll still stress person after bvl.

My file was sent to lagos march 29, lagos used 1 month to send bvl (April 29). It’s over 3 weeks now no decision yet.

After bombarding them with mails and Webform. Nairobi replied me. At this point na to wait for them.

Thou I’ve seen many 2023 application receive ppr.

That’s the only downside about the country, der visa application is too stressful.
