Litters? Well expect more of similar news this covik era |
As at early last year, there were news everywhere that the Nigeria police force would receive a much improved salary. Infact television stations were advertising it that the police wont take bribe with the new salary, to a certain extent i was impressed until today when i made contact with some policemen. I found out the only improvement in their salary was just the new 5k added during the implementation of the minimum wage as against the claim by the F.G early 2019. Heres the salary approved by the F.G last year. Below are the salary structure: 1. Police Constable (PC) II – N84,000. 2. Police Constable (PC) I – N86,000. 3. Sergeant Copral (SC) – N96,000. 4. Sergeant Major (SM) – N119,000. 5. Inspector Of Police (IP) II – N167,000. 6. Inspector of police (IP) I – N254,000. 7. Assistant Superintendent of police (ASP) II – N271,000. 8. Assistant Superintendent of police(ASP) I – N296,000. 9. Deputy Superintendent of police (DSP) – N321,000. 10. Superintendent of Police (SP) – N342,000. 11. Chief Superintendent of police (CSP) – N419,000. 12. Assistant Commissioner of police (ACP) – N483,000. 13. Deputy commissioner of police (DCP) – N531,000. 14. Taught she already appologised as well as her son. |
Toosure70:well Nigeria is already in a vulnerable situation and the only way we can uplift ourselves is through borrowing (transparent borrowing). The country's annual budget is $23billion. A great percentage of this is to service debt and recurrent expenditures. We need massive investment in IT and the investment would take a long time before it starts producing positive results. Why?? Cos we've already derailed and are far behind in IT. Building a refinery today would only save us costs not bring in cash. Dangote refinery today is worth over $14billion which is more than half of our budget. |
CodeTemplar:your right when you said i didn't subtract the cost of oil production though. Wasn't aware it was that expensive to produce though. Despite the little earnings from oil, it still produces more than 70% of our resources. In obvious reality. We are much poorer than i predicted.. |
Note: calculation are done before the covid 19 pandemic issues. Going by reports, Nigeria relies heavily on oil as its major source of income with oil producing atleast 70% of the countries income. Below is the mathematical analysis of the country's income Nigeria produces an average of 2.5million barrel of crude oil daily @ $65 per barrel Now let's do the maths 2,500,000*$65 = $162,500,000 Nigeria has a population of 180million Meaning $163,500,000÷180,000,000 = $0.903 approximately. Multiply that by the exchange rate of #360 360*0.903= 325per head. Multiply that figure by 30days we have in a month. #335*30 = #9750 Now let's assume oil generates 50% of our income which for sure is more than. We get 9750*2 = 19,500 19, 500 per individual is what we make monthly Now how you work to make your money is sourounded by this mathematics. If your earning slightly higher than that somebody is slightly earning lesser. If your earning much higher, somebody is earning much lesser. Overall the average wealth of the Nation is too poor. Meaning we have an under-productive population. Saudi with a population of less than 40million produces over 10million barrel of oil per day. (More funds, less liability). Conclusion: corruption is a major economic issue in Nigeria but underproductivity is a bigger challenge.. |
Thing is Nigeria has been compromised to the extent even if one is fighting for the people, theres a personal interest attached to it which most times frustrate the efforts of innocent citizens. But ill always urge people not to give up in their pursuit for positivity. Cos if we do, The damage in the future would be more devastating. |
