I dey open the cap every week. for the cycles check the data sheet on their website

You are better off with distilled or purified water. No impurities. Your bottled water is not really as pure as you think. It can have calcium deposits and other impurities

I fetched the water from a 1.5HP AC in less than 2hrs brother

That boiling and noise results in gassing. The funny smell that you perceive is from gassing

i have not experienced gassing. the things i know about this battery are 1. the water/acid is always boiling. 2. the battery is very noisy during charge or discharge. mine is indoor

I just topped the water for almost 1year

amazing device: say goodbye to overload, over-voltage. this device will trip off when you exceed the power and can only reconnect when the load is removed. i tried using electric iron on 2a/460w the device tripped. suitable for those who specializes in overload inverter. just attach it to the inverter output and your inverter will be saved from over-voltage and overload even in your absence

I have 1200W Inverter, 120watts Battery, 100Watts mono solar panel.
If I use generator to charge d battery, I could power a TV and a ceiling fan for abt 7hrs, but if I depend only on d solar panel to charge d battery for a whole day on a nomal sunny day like today in Lagos, I can't power d same TV set and a ceiling fan for more than an hour
Pls can any one help tell me why I can't enjoy this solar panel?

1. you don't have a charge controller. 2. your solar Panel is too small. you need like 300w Panel to charge that battery to full and a good cc not toy

As a matter of fact. My battery is not dead. I bought it brand new. It is 4 in number and not 2 as you stated. The power rating for each of the battery is 200ah. I started using them from 23rd of December 2014. I bought them brand new with the inverter from the manufacturer by myself. From the first day it was installed. Even with 24 hours charging. It has not exceeded the 57 percent charging. Please advise me properly.

bros you are welcome and good to hear the batteries and inverter are less than 3 months old. my advice for you is: 1. you need to reduce the load on the inverter. 2. get external charger

because your batteries maybe dead. was it like this when you bought it? to start with your batteries I will rate them at 150ah/ 500 cycle at 50% load and you have exceeded that. the load you stated is over 1000w and don't forget you only have 2 batteries to play with, so putting all these load on a 300ah battery is wicked at 150ah each. bros na people like una dey spoil inverter so. after 6months usage your batteries are dead you say inverter no dey work. for your mind the inverter is 3500va/48v therefore it can carry a 2000w load

It's good to see every one is doing upgrades.
You did not state how long you've had your present batteries. If it's over 6 months, it's not wise to add a fresh batch. You should just do a replacement.
The C.B is connected from battery + to inverter +. Make sure it's a dc breaker with.
You can just take a trip to Lagos and buy all you require.

razor and a short wood like ruler will do the magic for you. Bury one side of the razor into the ruler / short wood and ask somebody to direct you on how to move the razor / wood up and down, left and right

ask any of your relations to buy and activate the decoder in Nigeria first before sending it down to the uk. you can buy dish in the uk for installation or contact gurus in the forum who stay in the uk

actually, my plan was to get a keke for 170,000, use the remaining money to paint and maintain the keke. Maybe I might need to reduce the hire-purchase price to 550,000 because the keke I'm going to get will look very new and the engine will be very functional.
