Chai.... Even those that, in the past, mathematically and analytically proved, beyond reasonable doubt, that LeadAcid Battery is preferable HAS now gone Lithium.

Heh, someone should import it nau. Guys will buy it and test it out and relay the UX back for peeps.

I can invest some amount into the testing, so long as the importers will not sell it at cutthroat prices. You know Nigerians are opportunists hiking prices at whim.
don't bother yourself, the battery does not worth the stress. The battery is bad business the reason only oil companies and few can afford it. That battery is just bad and very expensive

thanks gents for the suggestions.
seems the dc pump is a better option. am wondering if anyone is running such, lemme tap from his experience.
2ndly is the pump easily available in nigeria? or aliexpress..hence the need to purchase 2 pumps, incase of 1 going bad

3rdly, can i hook it up directly to the solar panel, without battery?

4thly, if answer to 3 is yes, i am considering retaining the old inverter setup, however the output from the panels will be split into 2, one going to sumo...the other going to the CC of the existing setup

i wish to automate the whole system, with auto flow shut off, so the system will be independent of human input, as setup is in the village. a regulator will be installed in the tank to cut off power...when tank is full...and also activate power when the water gets to a certain level.

the water demand is minimal, say 200 liters daily, so a 2k liters tank shud last 1wk or so. borehole depth is btw 80ft to 130ft. most pumps are rated flow/hr like 2000ltrs/hr...or 30L/minute , can i simply divide by 24hrs to calc the hourly flow rate....abi the pump is designed to work 24/7??

ok, u can use a clamp meter to check if battery is charging?
2ndly, even though its new, the battery may hv sulphated /damaged while in the sellers shop. so you may consider buying a new battery, if you confirm ups is charging

am looking for a budget install for borehole water supply.1k or 2k liters tank
am looking at 3 options. has anyone deployed any of the options listed , or has a superior option to recommend to me.

note: 2 x 250w panel , 850va luminous hybrid inverter, 12v 200ah quanta battery, 12/24v 100voc fangpusun 50aD mppt CC already exists in the house

option 1: get a dc sumo pump and power it directly from solar panels fitted with overflow regulator

option 2: get a normal 0.75hp or 0.5hp sumo pump, get 2 x 12v 200ah batts or equivalent LIPO4 and 4 to 6 units of 250w panels, with a 2kva or 2.4kva hybrid inverter with surge capability

option 3: get a battreyless inverter and connect the sumo in option 2 directly. 6 x 250w panels needed
please note 0.5hp ac sumo is 700w. Just get 24/36v dc sumo, consumption is around 200-320w. Your best bet is 24v/200-320w, you can parallel 2pcs of 24v/200w to achieve this, no inverter, battery, controller is needed. Just avoid ac pump. This option is cheaper

There is believe in this forum that DOD does not affect lithium, this is not through. There is no battery that DOD does not have effect on. If you check lithium battery datasheet you will observe the graph decline from 100% DOD to a lesser number of cycles. Even higher charge/discharge have effect on the bms. Some will state 100A charge/discharge and at the same time put a recommended charge/discharge. Please note I am not saying lithium is bad in fact I will have 100ah/51.2v/5kwh and 12v/100ah/1330wh soon so if interested contact me

If you don't trust an artisan and his/her price, go elsewhere. Never be tempted to try buy materials for yourself".

I disagree with you on this. I buy almost everything by myself.
All I needed from him is the type of material he wants
and if I make my purchase and he rejects it I will tell him to use it like that or fvck out.

I am into building materials two of my senior brothers are into auto parts and electronics/electrical parts so it is almost impossible for any artisan to beat me in the game.

Talk is cheap from your end as well.

Why are you attacking the new seller are you scared already!!

Oga, See as you talk replacement as if you won't recover it from seller as well.

So you buy 15k and sell 30k, this is wickedness especially on a DIY thread.
me scared as if you have seen me comment or my advert in months. This is an open market everybody is free to sell so no one is stopping you since there is so much profit in it

The young man should be encouraged, after all he isnt forcing anybody to patronize him.
Most of the sellers here are middle men, not pure sellers, they dont stock anything, but order from a bigger seller/distributor when someone here places an order.thus the reason why their prices are higher than OP"s and he might run them out of biz on this thread.

Its a free market, the sky is wide enough for all birds to fly without colliding.
As per warranty, i think you should speak for yourself, most of the other sellers here do not readily honour waranties, inspite of the higher prices they charge.
My eye open on ordinary batt balancer being sold for 12k to 15k on aliexpress, but most of the sellers on this forum list it for 28k to 30k.haba!
if you were to sell the balancer you bought for 15k how much would you have sold it? Talk is cheap. Assuming you bought 5pcs and sold with 3-5k profit. You replace one for a client for warranty purposes how much will be your profit after replacing one? And believe me my price is cheaper than his

1.5W... Is it a motorless fan?... O diegwu (in Titus voice).
Mehn, technology is becoming something else.

Biko, that "capable of blowing cold air from nowhere", I'm OK with it as long as it will not blow the one from my village...thank you
you can choose the type of air you want including natural air and the fan will blow you natural air not forced air

Juo I wish to gift my grandma, can this be configured to work with solar only? any work around or alternative fan that can run 12 hours in the night after charge? Regards
the standing fan is AC, you can try dc ceiling, mine is out of stock but suitable for your needs cos it has led lights, remote control and regulator. Inverter may not be needed to enjoy 24/7 light cos consumption is just 5w on lowest speed
