abeg please dont include those 3kbps companies jornothing can change the decision, talk some else |
I agree they are all location dependent, ie for me in kaduna right now, its only mtn that can give some kind of speed etc, in line with the thread heading i think what we can do is state the highest download speed you have experienced on mtn or glo, i havent used glo before but on mtn my highest consistent download speed experience was approx 280KB(kilobytes) per sec which is 2.2 mbps and these lasted all night that day. Whats the highest GLo speed anyone has experienced and how long did it last (the speed that is)?you must be joking how come you get this speed when mtn is providing 115kbs, guy if u don't know ask u would be told. call 180 and confirm the speed ok |
MTN to me is fraud, i bought their usb fastlink a week before their N8500 promo at the old rate of N12,500, and load with 10k credit for 24 hrs browsing and guess what?, the USB crashed after 2 weeks, i bought another USB pack(since mtn will not replace and i had 2G left) this time for 8.5k.if it were to be an individual EfCC will be after u how about this? |
Those schools are breeding suiciders, and Almajiris. The north does not need them.beware of any Muslim around u cos he may be with explosive |
Moderator, please can you put this thread in the Joke Section of the forum?pls transfer this topic |
Mtn is d worst for me and i hv to switch to starcomm. Imagine getin a download speed of 2kb/s wt mtn, does'nt it sound ridiculous?you are right man. the max speed in mtn is 4.5kbs, this should be around 12.00am in the night while glo can 6.5kbs on a data sim. i have used mtn, glo, zain, multi-links they are alomst the same thing. i will say glo is the best but mtn is more steady. these networks have deceived us for years, they claim their down stream is 115kbs, bros how come the speed is always at 1-9kbs? explain |

FOR the first time in three years, the nation's power generation yesterday peaked at 3,600 mega watts (mw), according to the Minister of Power, Mr. Olanrewaju Babalola. Speaking at a media briefing in Lagos yesterday, Babalola also restated the Federal Government's commitment to ensuring the implementation of reforms in the power sector. The minister said the new feat represented an improvement in the ailing sector, adding that plans were currently being put in place to ensure that power supply improved well in the coming year. According to Babalola, the total capability of the sector currently stands at 5,500mw, with additional 300mw expected to be generated before the end of the year from the hydro plants at Kainji, Jebba and Shiroro, as well as those in Sapele, Delta and Afam, which he said were close to starting operations. His words: "One of the units at the Delta Power Station, Unit 16, is now ready for commissioning with the capacity of 100mw. We also expect Afam to contribute 128mw few days from now, and a unit in Sapele and Ibom power is set to evacuate another 100mw. So, in total we are expecting at least additional 300mw to the national grid before the end of the year. Others will come up early next year." Babalola, however, noted that actual generation currently stands at about 60 per cent, with hopes that restoration of gas supply through the Escravos gas pipeline would complement the capacity to reach 75 per cent power generation before the end of the year. The minister also disclosed that the nation's transmission capacity has increased from 4,000mw to 5,500mw, while distribution capacity was near 6,000mw. He said the Federal Government has approved massive installation of new transformers to enhance capacity and improve power supply in the country. Babalola said the ministry would diversify its operations in the new year to ensure security of supply, adding that it is currently working on establishing new hydro, coal and renewable power plants across the country with a completion time-frame of five years. As part of the diversification plan, Babalola said the ministry would explore other types of fuel such as the Low Pour Fuel Oil (LPFO) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) to ensure regular fuel supply to the power stations and limit the hiccups faced as a result of gas supply challenges. He said the regulation of the power sector was focused on adequate pricing, guaranteed investment and licensing to realise government's objectives in the sector. |
