Politics › Bomb Explode In Warri, Six Seriously Injured by JUO(op): 5:15pm On Mar 15, 2010 |
The post amnesty dialogue for all stake holders in Niger Delta ,organized by Vanguard newspapers was early this morning aborted by two explosions outside the perimeter fence of the Delta state Government Annex, Warri, Delta state – venue of the dialogue.
The dialogue, a contribution of Vanguard newspapers designed to promote sustainable peace and development in Niger Delta region was also meant to ginger governments into action and not misconstrue the current amnesty as the final solution to the Niger Delta agitation for equity and justice.
For a successful dialogue, Vanguard had lined up all representatives of all tiers of government to come and discuss their scorecards for development in a way that must ginger all to action. These were supposed to be discussed by the militants, members of the civil society, international organizations and the road map for development clearly re-defined with stated deliverables and timelines. It is therefore most regrettable that this noble project was aborted by the same people for whom it was designed to elevate.
Vanguard, as a public trust had diligently invited all, including the known leaders of the militants to this proactive event.
Vanguard remains committed to peace and development in the Niger Delta and shall purse this noble initiative after due consultation with all stakeholders. We shall not relent in our pursuit of common good, equity and justice in our federation. Signed: Gbenga Adefaye General Manager (Publication)/Editor-in-Chief Vanguard newspapers, Lagos |

Dearie, there is only one solution and that is, PRAYER. If u still lov your husband, take the situation to God in prayers. I have seen worse situation than yours before, yet with fasting and prayers God touch my husband's heart, n God also increased my wisdom for d right attitude to succeed in marriage. If u leave your husband and marry another man, what do you then do when the same situation arises? Do you divorce him too?? More so, there is always that time in most marriages, when u feel like OMG, i have had enof n u wanna give up, but God gives u d strength to wanna go on. I understand your pain, but take your Husband to the Lord in prayers n u will see what the Lord can do.
Good Luck! pls ask this person to give u his/her phone number, i believe he/she will help u |

I am doomed, please help!!!! I have reached a cross road don’t know what to do cos am losing my mind. My marriage is a living hell and everything have turned upside down. My husband has become so distant, though we live in the house we are so far apart, There is total breakdown of communication between us and he doesn’t ever see anything good about me. Even when I try to please him he said it’s pretense,
He cheats on me big time; I see love text messages from different women on his phone over 10 ladies at a time, infact chasing women has become a hobby to him, he insults me, slave me, He locked me at home from attending a friend's child dedication last sunday all my plea fell on deaf ears. I have tried to have discussions severally with him but doesnt even wanna hear me out., I try as much as possible to show understanding in every thing but he just over look. He spends more time outside than at home, I practically beg him to spend time with me and the baby. He run shift at work and our time contradicts but the little time we have to spend together he finds one or two excuses to leave home… sometimes he sneaks out of the house without telling me.
When I try to inquire why he has been treating me like poo he says am rude and I don’t respect him and I ask in wot way cos I really want to live peacefully, he should table my wrongs so I can make amends…. all he says is I don’t respect and trust him…… am really confused here. I told him that I want to earn his trust once more and cant just trust him blindly cos I don’t know him anymore…. He is so different from the man I married and to say we dated for 4 yrs and got married barely two years ago, I ask myself was I so blind that I didn’t see the handwriting on the wall or wot
He is so jealous of my little success……he wants me to always crawl up to beg him for every thing. I work I really don’t depend on him, infact I pay my school fees otherwise I would have long drop out. Rather than us working together he competes with me. Mid last year I told him I wanted to open a super market and he said ok, I tried carrying him along he never showed much interest, I drew an action plan and started executing one by one, he never 4 once ask about the progress made I even ask him to borrow me money he refused, now he see that the business is about taking off, to my amazement he has started searching for a shop to start his, I said lets do this together and expand later, he said he want to start his own. Since then he has been thwarting all my efforts to start. I have put in all my life and have borrowed from my office but he is just frustrating me. He sees that I am very enterprising and he is threatened that I might be richer than him. He doesn’t display maturity in handling issues. who is really the husband here? |

Career › Re: Zenith Bank's Employment by JUO(m): 9:34pm On Mar 12, 2010 |
Yes, it's the worst bank (welfare wise) in nigeria. Just how will a graduate be engaged by zenith only to spend 2 full years as a trainee(cost cutting tag),collecting a paltry N85,000 with no other allowances like xmas, p.s,medicals. strictly 85000 but meanwhile he/she does the same work load as others, closing atimes by 8-9 pm,exposed to the same risk level-count it,having to wear suits and all. I mean its just fraudulent.
my employment letter said for me to be trainee for 1yr but its my 25th month. In fact, my trainee allowance was recently salarized by deducting tax,so now its n83000. 85k only for 2 yrs is like doing youth service for them that long.
Sincerely, their salary ain't bad as their 'immediate executive assistant earn 145k plus leave allowance, Xmas, p.s amounting to over 2.6 m per annum, 550k upfront which makes the salary drop to 99k. My grouse is why in the name of cutting cost will you employ full graduate only to pay them OND salaries but use their graduate brains. This is pure exploitation.
Last month they managed to pay upfront i.e. prepaid housing allowance for trainees got 75k. Laughable ba? Where do you rent a decent self contained house for 75k in Lagos not to talk about remote Abuja. Maybe for a start though but not after 2 years of service as a professional staff, just how can your prepaid housing allowance be less than your monthly pay?
Some of us are first class graduates, 2.1 etc, just wasting away nothing meanwhile another with same degree, same experience, same target, same work does not just earn double what you earn but about 7-8 times. This is victimisation.
What are our labour unions doing? The regulator? CBN? Ministry of labour? Just what are they doing. The funny thing is that it's difficult to leave as there is no financial security. Someone should calculate for me. We young vulnerable graduates are taken advantage of. Why the illogical discrimination? If for recession, why not slash salaries/allowances across boards instead of taking it out on this full time working 'trainees'.
Two years working around money but you find it difficult to pay ordinary rent. Jim Ovia should be prosecuted. see your wide mouth u are paid 83k u still have mouth to talk, no bi ur mate dey ride okada ( i mean people that graduated before u). if u don't know people are ready to do that job for 50k. men u are lucky. thank God first |

Re: Help, I'm About To Close Down My Cafe « #15 on: Today at 08:59:20 AM » Hi hi,
I will be candid with you. Mobile networks are posing a very serious threat to the existence of Cybercafes. Imagine with just N500 I can browse for a whole day! The only sets of people who still go to Cybercafes are those who don't have laptops or desktops at home, or have a grps modem or maybe for one reason or the other mainly because of having a heavy download to do. So to survive you must have a large bandwith, love-vendor your cafe with AC/ television. My advice is try and set up other services in your cafe besides Internet browsing. Do stuffs like laptop format and repair, antivirus installation, laptop backup, mobile phone music download and application installation. You have to upgrade yourself and learn new skills. A lot of people are having problems with their laptops especially with driver installation, and Antivirus updates. Also offer your services to these business centers who use Computers, be their consultant. Try and exploit these areas I suggested. I can assure you, your business will pick very fast. If you need books let me know I will give you a link where you can get thousands of books on Windows or Linux, or perhaps send you the ones I have.
Cheer up! my guy cafe is still paying. consider this 1. are your systems p4 with high memory? 2. are monitors flat screen? 3. which ip do u use? 4. do u have ac? 5. can u carry out minor maintenance meet me in ymsg my id udokag4 or call 08052339459. i own a cafe |

This is the same old false trend of mockers and mischevious unbelievers who will fabricate false impressions on anyone's personality. If Turai and family friends are planing to meet with T.B Joshua; thats their own business. To come here with evil motives of personal attacks on T.B Joshua or any on mere false speculations and silly gossips are just ugly fruits of mischieveous workers who could be more dangerous than the accused ministers of the gospel in reality. u spoke my mind |
