I am interested in the justice of the case.
As it stands, can we really rule out the possibility of undue influence at play on the part part of this man? The part of cutting out his children from the two women he married and not just the OP's aunt raises suspicion. So the man hated his two wives and all his children?.
Another issue to take into consideration is the content of the Will. Did anybody read the content of the will where the father actually willed his properties to this man or was he just the person that was in custody of the will. Was this Will ever read to anybody or assumptions were just being made as to its content.
Like I told the OP before, it is pertinent to ascertain if that will was even in the first place registered otherwise, the validity of the will may come into questioning. Try and get an answer to this very important question. It is going to be a crucial factor in helping this man (and other siblings if they decide to change their minds), reclaim his/their father's property if taking consideration of all the facts it becomes just and prudent to do so. |

Iyaebe: Hi,thanks alot sir. There was a will and unfortunately non of his kids appeared in the said will.It was a deliberate act which was planned between him and his mom to get back at my aunt and her kids,it's such a messy and pitiable situation.I will get back to you via mail sir though I hardly check my mail, sorry about that. If you are very sure there is a will, then like I said before, the property will be administered according to the provisions of the will. But there may be a loophole your aunt, your aunt's children, step wife and child may explore, and this is very important, was the Will Registered?. |

iyaebe:
There is something most people do not understand when it comes to issues involving Wills or Administration of Estate.
Legally Speaking, That someone was named a Next of Kin NOK, to a Diseased/Dead Person, does not mean he gets to own or use the properties as he wishes. It simply means such a person is charged with the responsibility of administering the Deseased Estate in the interest of the beneficiaries, in this case the wife/wives/children. When the NOK fails to do this, these beneficiaries have a right to seek redress through the courts.
Note further that this man or anybody who is to act as next NOK, must obtain a Letter Of Administration LOA, from the court empowering him to so act. It is not enough that you are listed as NOK in some Bank Form or Employee Employmenr details.
Note also that all I have stated here is premised on the presumption that there is no WILL. Where there is a will, then the properties will be administered according to what is in the WILL. Are you sure your aunt's Husband did not will his properties to this man?.
By the way, you are yet to respond to my mail sent to you when you were R and you toled me of busy academics. How is studies and have you changed the mail or something? |

Crime › Re: Monsurat Ojuade, 18, Murdered In Cold Blood In Her Compound By The Police by juri: 5:15pm On Sep 12, 2021 |
chily11: I Was awakened at about 6:30 a.m. by a phone call by Pastor Yomi Adesanya. I had retired to bed so late last night that I had initially ignored the first call. But I had to pick his call on second attempt.
It was then he pleaded with me to rush down to Mogaji Street, Ijesha, Sueulere, Lagos where a young lady named Monsurat Ojuade was murdered in cold blood late last night, Friday, 10th September, 2021 by men suspected to be from Ijesha Police station, Surulere, Lagos
On getting to the scene of the incident at No. 53, Mogaji Street, Ijesha, Surulere, Lagos, I had witnessed blood in front of the compound as if a cow had been slaughtered there.
Amid uncontrollable tears from the victim's elder sister, Olaide Ojuade, she narrated to me what transpired the fateful night. She said that at about 11 pm last night, Friday, 10th September, 2021, she and the deceased were about to close shop when they suddenly noticed a stampede. They quickly ran to their compound which is just next to their shop. They were running and screaming at the same time.
On getting to their compound, they both fell down as they were running together holding hands. She narrated that their screaming attracted their mother Mrs Adepeju Olusola Ojuade who was doing some laundry at the time. Their mother had quickly dashed to the gate to barricade it from the pursuing police men. At this point, their mother went to the gate to barricade the gate. At this point they had not even realised that the persons pursuing them were police men. While their mother struggled with the police, she heard one of the policemen shout, "I WILL SHOOT" and almost simultaneously, a gun shot rang out and hit her sister who had already stood up from where they had fallen.
Immediately after the callous shooting of this innocent girl, the killer police man turned around and walked away leaving the victim to bleed to death.
This is a murder too many. Amid tears and pains, the father of the victim Mr. Nurudeen Ojuade said that he was inside when he heard screaming only to rush out of the apartment to see his daughter in the pool of her own blood. According to him, the victim sod to him "Daddy, please, carry me". He immediately rushed her to the hospital where she was later confirmed dead.
The youths of the area have been restive since last night. They had demanded the body of the victim to take same to Ijesha Police station and burn down the station. I have pleaded with them not to resort to self help as two wrongs cannot make a right. Pastor Yomi Adesanya, a former CDA Chairman of the area had also been pleading and asking the restive youths not to resort to violence. I pray they heed our wise counsel as the atmosphere is highly charged there at the moment.
The police have not demonstrated any empathy. Neighbours had to contribute money for the deposit of the corpse at the morgue. They family has been abandoned to their fate as it were. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE
On our own part, we are raising a very strongly worded petition to the appropriate authorities. The family of the victim demands for justice. Justice they must get. We have also assured them that the trigger-happy police man must be brought to book.
A young life with her future ahead of her has just been cut short because in this clime, we place very little or no values to human lives. That's why the police with invade the home of an innocent teenage girl in the dead of night and snuff the life out of her for no reason whatsoever.
We shall continue to update you as the events unfold... Please, remember the grieving family in your prayers.

SocialJustice: Are those disadvantantages? The world is filled with too many fools and I stopped engaging diplomatically a long time ago. The opportunities for very smart people in this country are slim to non existent.
Every smart nigerian should strive to leave and operate in a clime where they are appreciated. Operate in a clime where merit rules over nepotism and crass stupidity.
Being smart is not for making friends or being popular, if a person is truly smart then they should know there is a big task of solving a part of humanity's problems in front of them. Others are too dumb to understand the complexities of these things. If you succeed, you will still become popular and people you'll never meet or know will know your name and respect you. I should also add when the right problems are solved, it comes with a lot of financial gratification.
For the most part, all friendship or relationships bring or being around too many dumb people are unnecessary emotional issues.
Those who are fortunate enough to have a sound mind and intellect must take a pressing issue of humanity and provide solutions. We are not here to make friends or engage in meaningless discussions.
Of course, it is important every now and then to engage in some tomfoolery if it suits you or simply ignore it altogether to focus on the more important task at hand. Feel like buying you a drink right now. |
Politics › Re: A German's View On Islam by juri: 8:09pm On Sep 03, 2021 |
Abohboy: How is that analogy even close to my point? There's a white supremacy group that despises a people group that being muslims so they would obviously make fake news in order to get more people to hate people who practise Islam
Shekau on the otherhand only hates the system imposed on Nigerians so he wouldn't spread fake news unless to destabilize the government or the army.
So your point is stupid and makes no sense I would want to believe decency in a dialogue or discussion entails you can state your views without insults or inappropriate language. The point I am trying to make and which any objective minded person can relate to is that you can not just dismiss someone's views or warnings simply because the person is a 'racist'. Even the devil tells the truth once in a while. If you said what he said or some of the things he or whoever said them are/is not true, how are they not true. For example he said 1. "Very few people were true Nazis, but many enjoyed the return of German pride the Nazis brought to the German nation, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, the Nazis were in control of the nation, they owned us, and we had lost control. Suddenly they plunged the country into a devastating and costly world war, and by the end of the war we had woken up to a new reality - our world of comfort, peace and freedom had come to an end.". If this is not true, tell us how it is not true and not just simply saying the statement did not come from him or that he is a racist. The focus is on the message passed. Similarly, he said: 2. "Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. China's huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people." "The average Japanese individual, prior to World War II, was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians, most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet." "And who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were 'peace loving'?". If these facts are not true, tell us how are they not true, because like I said before, in my opinion, these are verifiable facts because they are relatively modern history. You can not just say what was said is not true because the person who said them was a racist or that he never said them. Don't forget that even that racist label is even your opinion of him. But my focus really is on the issues raised in the write up. If they are not true as you claimed, tell us how. The focus as a I have said should be the facts raised or contained in the message. Thanks. |
Politics › Re: A German's View On Islam by juri: 5:52pm On Sep 03, 2021 |
Abohboy: The fact that they had to attribute it to someone different and the fact that it's source is a white supremacist group I would almost indefinitely say what was written there is wrong without a second thought Let me get your view right. So you are saying if say Abubakar Shakau ( of Bokoharam) comes out and say something like ' The Nigerian Economy is suffering from inflation, even the value of the Naira to the dollar is now at an all time low of 450 to a dollar'. Your respond would be something like " Coming from someone who has helped destabilise some segments of the country through war and without degree in economics, this statement is not correct". Would the above response be ideal?. Is it not more prudent to for example produce say official exchange rate of the CBN for example that shows that Naira to Dollar is 1: 100. Or evidence of even say something like a black market exchange done that showed it is 1:120. The focus here is on the facts presented and not necessarily the person presenting them because they are themselves in my view, verifiable facts. In my opinion, the Message and Not the Messenger should be the focus of discussion on the topic. Thanks. |

Politics › Re: A German's View On Islam by juri: 10:47am On Sep 03, 2021 |
misterme: *A German's View on Islam*
Very interesting and worth reading because this is by far the best explanation of the Muslim terrorist situation I have ever read. His references to past history are accurate and clear. The author of this email is Dr. Emanuel Tanya, a well-known and well-respected psychiatrist, -- a man whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II, and owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide and shape our attitude toward the present day Islamic fanaticism. He said, "Very few people were true Nazis, but many enjoyed the return of German pride the Nazis brought to the German nation, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, the Nazis were in control of the nation, they owned us, and we had lost control. Suddenly they plunged the country into a devastating and costly world war, and by the end of the war we had woken up to a new reality - our world of comfort, peace and freedom had come to an end. My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories. "I see the same situation playing out today with respect to the attitude of the majority towards the the current Islamist movement. We are told again and again by 'experts' and 'talking heads' that Islam is the religion of peace and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. This unqualified assertion may be true, but the fact is that it is entirely irrelevant! It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam. The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who are waging any one of the 50 shooting wars currently going on worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups in Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, and carry out the so called honour killing. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers. The hard and quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the 'silent majority,' has been cowed and made extraneous and irrelevant."
"Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. China's huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people."
"The average Japanese individual, prior to World War II, was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians, most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet."
"And who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were 'peace loving'?"
"History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt. Yet for all our powers of reason, we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points: peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don't speak up, because, like my friend from Germany, they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun. Peace loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late."
"Islamic prayers have now been introduced into Toronto and other public schools in Ontario, and, yes, in Ottawa too while the Lord's Prayer was removed due to being so offensive! But to whom? Not to the vast majority of Canadians but to the few Islamic fanatics!"
"The Islamic way is only peaceful until the fanatics move in and take control. In Australia, and indeed in many countries around the world, many of the most commonly consumed food items now have the halal emblem (i.e a sign or instruction that says this product is not to be eaten, consumed or used because Islam forbids it) on them. Just look at the back of some of the most popular chocolate bars, and at other food products in your local supermarket. Foods on aircraft have the halal emblem, just to appease the privileged minority who are now rapidly expanding throughout the world. In the U.K, the Muslim communities refuse to integrate and there are now dozens of no-go zones within major cities across the country that the police force dare not intrude upon. Sharia law prevails there, because the Muslim community in those areas refuses to acknowledge British law. As for we who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts -- the fanatics who threaten our way of life."
Anyone who doubts the seriousness of this issue and just deletes without sending it on, is contributing to the passiveness that allows the problems to expand. So, extend yourself a bit and send this on and on and on in the hope that thousands, world-wide, read this, think about it, and send it on - before it's too late. This is very instructive. |
