of course you dont calculate it, you are bad at math just like the person who is intentionally doing it to present fake data.
IMF and WB dont do calculation, they rely on your Finance Ministry data that is gotten from the statistictical office
No one is spending money on Kenya's manufacturing sector. Neither are investors investing in Agricultural production, hence why you import everything into your country. The little investment that Kenya receives goes into investment properties that does not create sustainable jobs.
Hence the high unemployment.
rvp2018: 1) I don't work for Kenya Gov - and I don't calculate it. IMF are doing projections and calculations together with WB using the same figures. 2) We don't have a problem with investment - Ghana is attracting mining dollars - we are attracting broad-based investment. 3) PPP is useful for internal stuff - like calculating poverty. No sane investor will come to a country whose currency is as useless as CEDIS. Unless they are coming for GOLD - or OIL - which is not sold in the country or in CEDIS anyway.
Johnsghana: My response to you should not be misconstrued as acceptance of your limited vocabulary. I don't wish to have any for of engagement with you.
You are the one busy massaging your economics figures every single year like a Communist country. Dem, that is desperate.
Don't confuse the 2, GDP is for internal use while PPP is for external use. An investors looks at PPP to determine where to invest because PPP shows the rate of transaction in an economy.
Your country is not trusted on the international stage because of how much fake data you present.
rvp20182: When you have CEDIS dancing like a drunken sailor - don't blame anybody for your low nominal GDP. GDP PPP is only relevant for internal use.
Now what matters to us is what our GDP is in Kshs and USD.
everyone knows how to calculate compounding interest. what do you think he is doing?
rvp20182: GDP growth is compounded. Secondly in 2016 - we were discussing GDP of 2015. GDP of kenya now is about 100B - based on Q1 figures - but we are talking about 2019 data. We will know kenya GDP figures for 2020 - next year around April. Kenya gov stats will start data collection in Jan-Feb and crunch the numbers for 2020.
It's funny when an idiot like you act like he knows anything.
obaaderemi: Thank you for this truth @bolded. If Kenya's GDP was $50bn in 2016(year thread started) and you are growing at an average rate of 4% per year, that's $52bn(2017), $54.8bn(2018), $56.6bn($2019), $58.2bn(2020) Thank you for providing the firewood and tinder with which I roasted you, Little Indian. I told you your economy is $60bn max! cc Samorobo, justnotyou.
The little boy does not know how to do this simple calculation
rvp20182: No videos. No pictures. Just sour grapes. All that 15B dollars of official mineral exports annually- GONE to the wind.
Our human resource resourcefulness has taken 15 million of our citizens far above developed countries poverty ratio of 5.50 dollars while 87% of kenyans are way way below it.
That is the reality of development.
43% of Ghanaians live far better than 87% of kenyans.
those are the realities
Know your place before you start making useless noise on here
rvp20182: The usual polemics from the rodent eater. If you had used gold like Southern Africa countries - Ghanaians won't be drowning in mediterian so they can go become sluts and drug pushers.
How about you post video evidence of your achievement to counter Kenya's achievement.
Do you think Nairobi that your president wants Ghana to be is a natural resource?
Kenyans wont be escaping the slum Kenya, just to go and lick Arabs dicks for arab money, if you guys had developed your human resources to the level of Ghana or even Southern African countries.
i just want you to know that, this is not Skyscrappercity where Propose, UC tags are allocated. It really happens
Roan7: Bro you are not understanding me, for example, vaxx does post render pics of ongoing projects, or post some of UC projects, that's clear. But this particular one was included in pics of Accra already existing pictures, Kenya does that, we call them out for it, for posting renders among their city's pictures. To avoid some scrutiny, and uncertainty.
rvp20182: We are not in any war with any country. We are at war with lies, half-truths, and propaganda. Personally I am a freelancer - and will take on any country or any topical issue. If Ghana is good - it will manifest itself. Development cannot be hidden in data. I early in this thread had bought their well-packaged propaganda hook, line, and sinker - until KaziKazi told us to look at their pictures or videos. And I saw a mini-Nigeria.
Too bad you have achieved nothing because you dont have the Human resource to
Nigeria and Ghana are not poor because our people are ingenious and hard working. Hence why even a poor person in both Ghana and Nigeria will be considered a middle-class person in Kenya.
rvp20182: Ghana and Nigeria have no excuse to be poor. Kenya is a resource-poor country. And whatever we have achieved - is almost through our blood and sweat. All you need to do in Nigeria is to get serious - and fix your country. The capital in oil, gas, and name it - are already there.
Kenya has very few issues it needs to tackle - one is corruption - and we are tackling it finally. We have now an effective Asset Recovery commission which is seized wealth if you cannot explain how you acquired. No need for long stories or criminal proceedings.
Yes, we have a housing deficit in urban areas - and that is why we are planning to build 500,000 units in the medium term.
Otherwise, we are doing very well. The economy has doubled to nearly 100B in a few years with the constant growth of 6% for almost two decades. We are moving 1m people out of poverty annually. Gov social investment is paying off with first in Africa almost universal primary to secondary transition. We are now nearly top 50 in Ease of doing business. We are the top 100 in Global Competitiveness. We are bridging our infrastructure deficit. In less than 10yrs - we have built more new roads - than we did in 50yrs. Mombasa port and SGR are starting to bring in the benefits of efficiency and productivity to the economy.
And yet Kenya has no minerals - no hydrocarbons! We have some of the most hardworking, cooperative, and intelligent populace in SSA definitely.
your country may catch up to Ghana if you do the right things
rvp20182: When you get to Nairobi in 2100 - I'd be glad to validate you. Ghana remain a cesspit. Look at Nairobi in this 2mins video - and try to find out why your country is NOT developing.
I'm busy at this point. I have taken up a project for Wiki Ghana.
Saddamochieng00: This guys are nothing but a spineless lot. If a Kenyan was to start shit with any of the nationalities in here we would all gang up to crash the mofo. But I guess some peoples laundry is just too dirty to be exposed in public.
Just 30 get your face out of naija azz already....trust me this west coast alliance won't stand the test of time.
You know we dont make noise until someone come at us. Seize it with the Nigerians
vankelvin: You are not sensible one bit.. I have heard this over and over, you guys have done your worst, but you ended up being ridiculed so stop this Just30 crap of an excuses you are given dumb..... What do you have to show? cos I have other areas of your country to expose, so if you are ready then you bring it on.
