You need to check on prevention,and that will mean to give right knowledge to citizen.You will need to check other stuff like quality of water,pollution level(also issues of conservation), you will need to check on illiteracy,quality of food eaten by citizen, corruption levels,crime,quality and not just quantity of health sector employees,other infrastructure stuff like roads,etc.

So,when you see a certain nations citizen live longer,know that there so many stuff are done for a long period of time

If we were talking about life expectancy then you could make these arguments.

We are talking about quality health care and facilities.
Achieving quality health care is not to emphasize long living. But to ensure both prevention of needless diseases and needless deaths.

One statistic that reflects the impact of quality health care delivery and facilities is the maternal mortality rate and infant mortality rates.

Corruption levels is part of lifestyle. Illiteracy levels is part of lifestyle. Prevention awareness is part of lifestyle. Crime levels,pollution, quality of water,etc are all included in a lifestyle.

We have to conclude that facilities alone are insufficient. Its naive to believe that when a nation has one or two new best hospitals then you are ahead! The developed nations have done so many stuff which have helped them to live longer.They have best facilities and they have more knowledgeable population.Most African countries only think about having a hospital!

When a country puts up better health care facilities, the work flow is efficient meaning best care services.

Now we are not talking about long life here, because long life have nothing to do with health care facilities and service.
Long life is achieved when a person is better fulfilled.
That comes when the person is doing the job they love, receiving great salaries, living life traffic free, low crimes, a safety net to fall on even when they lose their job, a safety net that takes care of them while they develop their best mental abilities, healthy eating, and a whole lot except health care.

Why should NHIF pay Sh33 billion to private hospitals attending to one per cent of Kenyans and only Sh5 billion to government hospitals?

Why should NHIF pay for CT scans and not for doctors’ services?

when we come to hospitals, Kenya does not even have Tertiary health care facilities; let alone Quaternary care facilities.
So shhh it and compare your poor facilities to South Sudan.
