You cant have better road quality when only 5% of your roads are paved and we have almost 40%
We have made our minerals count by having lower poverty than your country and making slums a rearity.
WE have 3 times electricity, almost 2 times the access of your country and almost 3 times the consumption of your country.
we have almost 2 times the access to water than your country, almost 2 times the number of properties in your country.
Better housing, 2 times the size of your country middle class. We have better health facilities, better education and facilities, a larger SGR network than your country.
Come and see the great housing that even poor people live in and you will know what your country should use it gold for.
so what has kenya used it numerous mineral resources for?
Mkenya2019: We already overtook in almost everything despite our situation - 89 percent semi arid and no minerals. We have triple your road network. We have tripled your trunk road. We have double your paved road network We have better road quality than Ghana
If you had any iota of shame left - you'd be asking why South Africa, Botswana and Namibia made their minerals count?
And why Ghana the world leading gold producers look anything but gold.
How will your roads be bad as Ghana when Ghanaian roads have always been better than your country?
Your roads are still terrible until you are able to pave it up to at least 50%
you dont need minerals to build roads...all you need is for your gov't to use it revenues to build roads instead of packing it into one family account.
We have used both out mineral resources and human resources to pave more roads than your country...
Your country has had gold, titanium and rear earth minerals for centuries but look, your country remain roadless
Mkenya2019: So because Kenya is in the list - the list is bogus. Even if WEF uses surveys - people cannot just claim their roads are good quality - if they are NOT. Check back a few years a go - and you can see Kenya slowly climbing up the road quality index - as the gov double down the investment there. Our roads use to be as bad as Ghana and Nigeria. But we fixed it.
Kenya has no minerals worth building even 100kms of tarmac.
You have no excuse why you're not a DEVELOPED COUNTRY.
For centuries you have had GOLD....tonnes of it.
But look - you own gold regulator - is claiming 90 percent is getting smuggled out.
So why has Kenya not used it moneies from Gold, Tintanium, rear earth minerals and oil to pave more roads to cath up to Ghana?
Kenya lunatic
Mkenya2019: It does. Ask South Africa, Namibia, Botswana - what their gold and diamond has done.
Now why is Ghana the leading gold producer, a decent oil producer, aluminium, diamond and name it NOT IN THIS LIST
Are you bonobos? GOLD=MONEY=THAT BUILD ROADS

gallivant: Same old nonsense. If this is the modus operandi in Ghana your country is based on deceit, and you are getting nowhere just like your neighbour Nigeria. Please style up or shut up.
Tantrums from a country with tiny pave roads and everywhere is just muddy
when you pave those, you pave road network will get closer to that of Ghana.
Mkenya2019: The trunk roads 40km - should be paved. The main arteries and feeder roads should be paved. But some will not make sense to pave. We cannot pave roads to our animal parks for example. For rural areas - it doesnt make sense to pave every road to the driveway or farms. Those can remain gravel or murram roads...as long as it well maintanied.
For now focus here -

Because the road has economic value, it must be paved.
Are you trying to tell us that 235,000km unpaved roads in Kenya goes into farms?
What a useless excuse
5% Paved will in Kenya?
How does that compare to 40,000km of paved roads in Ghana? Even cocoa and mango farms have paved roads.
Keep ranting like the lunatic you are The US has more than a majority of it roads paved
Mkenya2019: What would economic justification to pave a road that go into farms or animal parks? Roads can be in good all weather conditions. Focus first on density - build bridges and all that.
We beat Ghana in all road indicators...the rest are usual mad man ranting.
How do you have a motorable road when it is not paved?
No wonder dirt roads is what you guys are used to ..... When you see small road pavement, you rejoyce because it is rear in Kenya.
Mkenya2019: Roads do not need to be paved. They need to be MOTORABLE. They need to be in good conditions. 1st is to expand the road network. We are doing that....soon we will have about 350,000kms...that will be South Africa level of road density. Then we make sure they are in good motorable conditions - even if it mean paving them with murram and gravel Kenya county gov maintain our large road network.
Let me give practical example. This is my farm in kericho kenya
At front of my farm is national gov - feeder roader that is paved - by national gov. Behind my property is a regularly maintained road - of murram - by county gov.
The inner roads are mostly for collecting tea leaves everyday in collection centers - and short distance to people houses.
Bottomline - You need EXTENSIVE MOTORABLE ROADS IN ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS - and that most important index
KRB data says the country has 161,821km classified roads, 34,000km unclassified or new roads with more than nine-metre road reserve and 50,000 km narrow roads that have less than nine-metre road reserve.
Kenya had 76,100km of roads in 2014, meaning that 85,721km of paved and unpaved roads were added in five years to June 2019. The country has added 10,395km of paved roads from 2010 to close June 2019 with 21,295km.
“Kenya’s road assets are estimated at over Sh3.5 trillion, representing one of the largest public investments in the country,” says KRB.

complete nonsense
A roadless country like Kenya will continue to be in the shadows of Ghana.
Manage to pave at least 10% of your country roads then maybe you will be able to compare with Ghana doing almost 40% as we speak.
Mkenya2019: More usual diarhoea. This 2021 - and your own road minister - is claiming you have 80K road network with 23 percent having ever since bitumen - most of it completely run down. About 43 percent in bad shape.
Mkenya2019: Mr Kwasi Amoako-Attah - says your total road network in 78,000 - Kenya is well onto 250,000 if not 300k now. That is like 3-4 times bigger. Total paved road in Ghana - 15000k. Kenya now 25000km.
I rather listen to your road minister - than a resident mad cow
Total paved roads in Ghana is 40,000km out of 109,515km
Ghana has 11,000km more under construction as we speak.
Kenya total paved roads is 17,000km.... that's even if we consider your gov't to be truthful but as we've learn, everything in your country is inflated to give a false sense of doing well so that fools like you can come online and make noise.
Your entire country paved road can only compare to those in Kumasi and Accra alone
Mkenya2019: The usual madness - Kenya budget is now bigger than your big Zoo - NIgeria.

Maybe they forgot to rank Ghana
I have been to Namibia, RSA and Rwanda...and I can test to their quality of roads. In Rwanda I only saw one single pothole. Very impressive for a poor country.
A WEF nonsense
only 5% of your country roads are paved which is just half of Ghana paved roads
Mkenya2019: Money from where - when Kenya has more than twice your budget - and 3 times your taxes The money you could have - 90 percent - is getting smuggled.
Can you please show us Ghana here

Kenya budget all goes to recurrent expenditure
money that kenya will never have we have over 20 huge road contractors that are well equipted
Ghana spends twice on infrastructure investment per year than Kenya.... Ghana does 13 billion dollars while kenya does 7 billion dollars.
Mkenya2019: More lame excuses - everywhere you turn in Ghana and Nigeria - you will experience potholes - not just potholes - that so many of them. kenya was there about 20yrs ago. We still have few backlog of roads that need repair and rebuilding but generally our road quality is HIGH.
Because kenyan roads are filled with potholes, you think its the same everywhere
Your country does not even have paved roads and you are here making noise for it despicable state
We have money to buy those incredible machines and do the work ourselves.
Chinese have only built terrible roads in Kenya that easily go bad. Your roads do not last and they go bad because of terrible Chinese work.
The best roads in Ghana have always been done with Ghanaian excellence, something that is trusted all around the world.
At least build your kenyan capacity, maybe they will one day get to the level of Ghanaian contractors and do quality work.
Mkenya2019: I wish you'd save the frowning and the disdain for Chinese Shaolin gang smuggling your gold.
There is GOOD and BAD CHINA or FOREIGNERS.
Good foreigners - investor, tourists, contractor, expat, companies - example China Roads and Bridges BAD foreigners - illegal, drug dealer, cowboy contractor, smuggler - example Shaolin Gang.
Chinese road constructors are the best in the world - and for international contracts - highways and expressway - why would you risk?
Why would you not tap on China incredible construction machine to build roads, railways, houses and learn from them?
Why would you not tap on China incredible manufacturing machine?
Mkenya2019: Dont talk roads - in the video I remember watching gold smuggling one - I saw a road in Ghana that I have only seen in Nigeria - completely potholed.
Quick peek into the videos - precisely why you should adopt chinese standard roads.
Putting hard core to the road - then spreading asphalt - mean the roads will not last 5yrs - or even 2yrs before potholes appear.
Chinese do not put hard core (That American/British standards)- they set up foundation with huge bolders - then next level - is just the soil plus cement and stabilizer - it creates a cheap concrete like sub-base. Then you simply pour bitumen on top.
Those roads last longer and are very cheap...almost concrete roads for the price of the dirt in the road.
no wonder Kenyan roads get washed away by the slightest rain...
You get substandard Chinese construction that only compact sand and puts a binder on it..
In Ghana, the basement of a road has 3 layers which makes it more durable... The first layer is hydro rock compartment and a plastic insulation, the second layer is laterite compression before concrete compression after this, a binder is placed on it before final asphalt..
This is why our roads last between 20 to 50 years ......
Education is really good, when your education is bad... You end up with all your roads being constructed by Chinese and all your buildings going to foreign construction companies... basically you are making Chinese contractors rich while your people don't have any opportunities.
