Check this out.... If u earn 200k and u spend 50k as Me.... Your Di will be 150k... Then multiple 150 *6 = 900k.....your statement of account should read 900k by month six before u print ur statement. All other deposits must then be explained. Check your statement against this analysis.

[quote author=tmoneyluvsu post=83453377]Good day all, so I applied for UK visa may, 2019,after about 5months I got an email from UKVI that they had issue with my biometrics, that I should withdraw my application and I'll get a refund or I should go ahead for a review if I'm not satisfied with their response.
I sent a complaint email stating how dismayed I was with their service and what refund they want to make?
Are they going to refund my time and all the calls I've made?
My going and coming to tls all the time to check my application status?
So I got this email today, dunno what to respond.. [/quote

.
Did you at anytime send them the paid email? Or call them to enquire during that period, If yes, the charges of the email and call reflects on your bank statement, all u need do, print out your statement, highlight where there charges appear, then write them that from where you live to tls center cost about.... for transport and that u journey there about.....

Okay, I will work with one sponsor, preferably my brother because I applied with his name.
I also have the my wife’s consent letter with her signature together with her drivers licence to show relationship with the child.

My brother who is sponsoring my son is here in Nigeria. Will you advice I make them take a picture together just for this reason and submit to back this up?

Thanks for the reply also

OH... I understand now, it's not that they both over there. Very well, your friend can invite him over, while your brother fund the trip from here.

The picture thing is perfect. Also let him and your friend have some sort of communications at least at 16, he should own a smartphone.

And don't forget his BC. is very important.

1. Hello House, my son is traveling to the UK for the first time and is 16 years of age. He’s going to the Uk to stay with my friend for the Christmas and new year holidays. My brother here in Nigeria is sponsoring him and has given his bank statement of 4 million Naira to prove that. In the application they asked why my brother is sponsoring this trip and I wrote because “I his father cannot sponsor this trip at this time”, although I have a house worth 20,000,000and documents to prove(Contract of sale and property deed) that I live at my address with my son. Also the person inviting my son has offered to accommodate him and take care of his living expenses also. That is, my brother and my friend are acting as co-sponsors, but in the application I put my brother(His Uncle) as his only sponsor. Although in the invitation letter my friend sent, he attached his Uk bank statement, passport page(British Citizen), proof of accommodation and also stated that his will accommodate and take care of his living expenses. Should I not bother attaching my friends bank statements since I have mentioned my brother as his sponsor or I should leave it as a plus?

2. Also I stated the trip will cost 800k as he will be there for exactly two weeks and a day, but I put my brother will sponsor him with as much as 1 million naira. Is this bad ? NOTE: Bank statement is 4M (5 months period bank statement)

3. My brother only provided his personal bank statement and letter of declaration showing willingness to sponsor my son. Are there any other documents to add to this ?

4. Is health insurance a must ?

5. Must I attend the visa application center with my son or he can go alone or with someone else ?

You friend is accommodating.... Your brother is sponsoring......your presentation is going to raise serious doubt. Work with just one sponsor.

Did or has the mum consent to this? , if yes, provide her consent letter.

And which ever one of the two sponsor you are using, make sure your son and this fella has at least a year prove of communication with him or her.

Good luck.

Good evening guys , I’ve just picked up my passport today and I was denied ..

Thank you for your letter attached with my passport . I have a question to ask about my application. I can prove that the large amount of 500,000 naira in my account have been there for a long time saved up from my clothing business and other deposits aside from the ones from PsychCare Foundation (80,000)and Ezesco farms 60,000( Ezesco Farms Belongs to my father , I work with him weekends as supervisor, he is old now can’t walk 5 hectares of land ) other deposits were from sales of clothing items.

I can show proof of a roofed house sitting on the land in my name. I submitted the survey in my application

The reason i added 168,000 is the addition of 60,000 and 80,000.. I have spent money on my trips to South Africa , Kenya , Rwanda , and Ghana .. does it mean I can’t apply for an all expense paid trip ?

I live in Osun state , printed my bank statement before leaving .. paid for transportation , visa and hotel because I went a day earlier all from my zenith bank account ..

Do you guys think I should go for a priority visa ?
The company that invited me is ready to reimburse me for the first application but I will be responsible for the other one ..

If your total monthly income is 140k....do you have payslip to support this?

The last paragraph, the ECO said you claim to earn 1.6m in a year from other income.... How true is this?

Hope he is not referring to your salary from your employment?.... You need to calm down and understand the content of your refusal...

And by the way... 1 hectare of land = 13 and half plot, are you saying your dad own 13.5 * 5 = 67 plots of land?... Hope you didn't write this in your cover letter. Please check your facts all other again against the refusal...

However, I discovered that the meter receipt for his house is not in the name of the landlord.

Note: He only has rent reciept for this year only.

This means that his most recent rent receipt with the name of his landlord for this year will not correlate with the name of the owner on the meter. Can someone advise what to do about this please. Thanks.

Write a letter addressing this, don't write this in the cover letter, make it a stand alone statement addressing the issue.

Prepaid meters are sometimes acquired by tenants not landlord. And enter it in your checklist as letter addressing prove of address.

1)the financial and personal circumstances as declared by you on your application 2)your passport and travel history 3)your family circumstances and the supporting documents you provided. I was in level 400 in university then as at 2017. But now I want to apply and I’m employed and earn 60,000 as monthly salary, I also have a side job where by I sell clothes and I make up to 40k monthly. My uncle wants to invite me, please I want to know what documents I need to submit. Thank you

60 + 40 = 100....... No ME deduction yet.

The question is can u get a flight ticket for 200k to the UK? I doubt it...

Only way.... Except ur uncle is all out to sponsor..... But E go hard small, cause as a grown man, with a job, u should be able to afford your own holiday....dat is ECO talk though.

Your ajo deduction is part of your ME. Leaving you with a DI of 100k. If you further deduct 13k it means u left with 87k.

My advice... If u want to really go on holiday to the UK, suspend your ajo, run ur account for six month with your DI.

With a well explained cover letter and proper highlights on your statement, you should be fine. But mind you, make sure you run points on paper very well, cause flaws is what they look for.

You need to let the ECO know that the ajo tins is your personal way of saving and please get the ajo evidence and add it to your application.

Good evening gurus in the house. Please i need clarification on an issue. I would like to confirm if monthly deductions from my salary account for thrift (Ajo) won't be a problem if i apply for a tourist visa next year (the Ajo will end in July and i wish to apply in September 2020. Though i will collect my own contribution in December 2019).
I earn 200k as salary and 100k is deducted for the Ajo. I wish to declare my monthly expenses as 13k but i am concerned the 100k deduction might be an issue.
Also, i was denied my 1st uk tourist visa application for 5 days in 2018 based on my financial status and socio economic ties ( i am single and still stay with my parents). The Eco officer mentioned though he understood i was employed but not sure i would return since i stated in my application that i am single with no dependent, properties, plus the amount budgeted for the trip was high compared to my net income.
However, a friend recommneded this forum after my 1st application went south and i have been a silent reader since then. I have learnt so much from this forum and with the knowledge i have now, i cannot fault the Eco officer cos my budget for my 1st application was thrice my disposable income( lol).
I wish to state that i was earning 102k when i applied in 2018 but i was promoted early this year and net income increased to 200k and after collecting my Ajo contribution, i will have an acct balance of 1.5million. I have also been to Dubai twice ( 2017 and 2018).

I would be providing all the necessary documents alongside the additional ones i have learnt about on this forum ( i would post my cover letter and documents to submit here when i am ready to apply for further advise) but i want to clear my doubts about the 100k ajo deduction first.

I am sorry for the epistle and look forward to getting a feedback from the gurus in the house

Thank you all.

Thank you Justblow. You and techsport both allayed some of my fears. Unfortunately, there isnt a rent reciept, but I have proof of western union transfer I did every february for their rent (separate from the monthly stipend) which i intend putting in the application if that will help.

On my own invitation letter, I have stated that my parents and brother are financially dependent on me and that I send them monthly stipend of £200 (50,000 to each parent) to cover monthly maintenance for the three of them (mum, dad and brother).

My dad has also stated in his own cover letter that he is no longer financially responsible for my brother as the stipend I send to him and my mum covers monthly maintenance for the three of them.

Please I want to send you a copy of the cover letter privately via private messaging to help review it, can you please kindly approve my request to PM you pretty please.

Once I get this part sorted, phew....should go ahead and choose a date for their application smiley

Not having any form of prove of address is not very good, aside visa application, in general, there is suppose to be a paper evidence showing they are actually paying for there accommodation.

Get your dad to see the landlord, it cost nothing to get a rent receipt booklet and update there monthly or yearly rent payment by writing him a receipt.

And I hope his bank statement address is same with the house address.

Thanks @giselle237.
I have actually thought of reapplying but then the sponsorship letter given for previous visa application was so comprehensive yet the ECO said it wasn’t detailed enough.
I could attach all my training and certificates but they are all local trainings and part of the reasons given was that I hadn’t gone for international training before.
Also how do I proof that my company has sent people on similar training because my only thoughts is to get the certificates of such people as attachments but how will that proof they are company representatives?

All this and more are my thoughts. My company also suggested I reapply but if I don’t get all this answer right, it could be another refusal.

Your thoughts pls.

Thank you Justblow. I will fill in NO in the new application for FS. However, since he has filled in YES on the previous application that was refused, what explanation do you think I should put in this new application?

Also, I only send my dad 50,000 monthly and N50,000 to my mum monthly for their upkeep. I do not send my brother any money as my parents use some part of that to buy bulk food and to pay for anything my brother needs.

I also send separate funds yearly for accommodation payment (cash in hand to landlord, so no proof of tenancy). No utility bill as PHCN meter is prepaid. Also, parent got married back in 1979 traditionally so no marriage certificate.

Would a letter from my mum + her passport bio data page + my brothers birth certificate suffice (he is older brother but has medical condition) suffice as ties alongside with proof of monthly stipend?

Also, considering that on his first refusal, he mentioned dependent child to mean my brother he has a medical condition, should I get a medical certificate from the hospital where he does check up as well?

Kindly advise. Thanks so much. as I want to ensure to put in the right information in a concise manner that explains the circumstances.

For question one, father circumstances changed, he is no longer taking responsibility, you are now in charge of that

Ignore paragraph two, once you state he is now dependent on you, its a enough, as too much information at times confused the ECO.

Collect all the receipt of rent payment, at least the ones you can lay your hands on

Would a letter from my mum + her passport bio data page + my brothers birth certificate suffice (he is older brother but has medical condition) suffice as ties alongside with proof of monthly stipend?....... This is solid.

All the gurus in the house...please kindly advise on the below pretty pleaseeeee:

In June 2017, I invited my dad to visit me in the UK for three weeks, but his visa was refused.

I submitted...

1. my bank statement
2. Proof of mortgage
3. Six month payslip
4. Letter of invitation

My dad is in his 70's. A retired business trader and currently relies on me for Monthly stipend which I send via western union online to his bank acount every month.

At the time of filling the form back then. On the form..he was asked if anyone depends on him and lives with him at home and also if he had any family ties.

He 'put' on the form..Yes

And he stated in the additional information that my mum and my immediate elder brother (in his 30's) who is visually impaired 'depend' and lives at home with him as my brother needs care as a result of his medical condition. my dad stated this as family ties and he will be coming back to Nigeria.

At the time...my dad did not realise that 'dependent' as stated on the form means 'financially dependent'.

At the time...he did not submit his bank statement or any proof to show my brothers medical records.

I didn't raise an eye brow on this at the time of that application in 2017 as I had one year earlier invited my mum and she was granted a visa without submitting any of her bank statement as I was sponsoring her entire trip.

I now know better about submitting lots of proofs after reading and following this thread for the past three months!

I am now looking to invite him again. I will be sponsoring his entire trip including flight. Accommodation. Feeding.

This time looking to supply the following....

1. Mortgage statement

2. Current account And savings account Statement with £5,000 balance (will transfer £1,500 from savings to current and then to my dad's account to support his flight ticket)

3. Letter of invitation

4. Payslip six month

5. Flight itinerary

6. 12 months Proof of monthly stipend receipts that I send monthly to him

My dad will be submitting the following

1. a cover letter addressing the 2017 refusal and stating that he retired from trading business and does not have a pension and relies on stipend from me. And that he misunderstood the question that while my brother lives at home...he (dad) is not financially responsible for him as my dad is retired. The finance that care for my brother comes from monthly stipend I send to my parents every month.

2. Six Bank statement that shows the monthly stipend I send to him

3. Bank statement that shows stipends I send to my mum too

4. A medical certificate for my brother from a private hospital where he does his monthly medical check up

5. Letter from my mum stating she will care for my brother while my dad is away on this trip (please note that my mum has visited the UK since then and on her own form, she filled that "no one is financially dependent on her as she is a home maker/housewife)

I have attached the refusal letter from 2017 to this post

Will the fact that my elder brother living at home affect my dad's application as my dad is retired?

Also, I am trying to fill his application form right now and the form says:

Does anyone rely on you for financial support? This include children over 18 who live with you at home.

Should the answer be YES or NO?

Can you good people in the house kindly advise on what else I need to add as documentation and if I am missing anything out.

I will appreciate every help I can get.

Thanks very much.

Since you foot all bills, then the answer to that question is no..... No one depends on him for FS.

Property deed is a very solid tie

Marriage certificate

Dependent son's birth certificate

Utility bill.... To show proof of address

Family photos if any, showing you with him, or u all together...

Get a year proof of communication.... Call log, wathsapp chat...

And your..... Your testimonies will be forever permanent.

Do you advise I reapply immediately?
The graduation is already past as it was October 7th. But I did include the graduation invite in the previous application
As per accommodation, they have a small apartment was why I decided to book a hotel if given the visa.

Should I apply for two weeks now? Remove the joint account and still use my parents' house as accommodation or should I just book the hotel and reduce my travel expense to half since it will now be for 2 weeks?

Very well, you are on point, plan your travel around your earnings and make sure you do not exceed twice ur DI.

you can reduce your ME. to as low as 40k a month and u still left with about 640k to spend on a two weeks holiday. With proper planning and budgeting, hotel accommodation will still surface from this cash.

And please, don't reapply immediately, as u have to let ur circumstances change, give it like six months, cause u packing from a different angle now.

Hi All.
Visa type: Visit (family)
Timeline: Biometric: sept 17
Concluded: October 6
Passport ready for pick up: October 15.
Outcome: Denied

I applied for a month's visit visa to visit my family - (my parents and brother). One of the reasons was to see them, while the other was for my moms graduation earlier this month.
My parents are citizens while my brother has a permanent residency.
I just picked up my application yesterday and it was denied due to 2 ridiculous reasons.
1. My sponsor (mom) does not have enough money in her joint account with my dad to donate 800 pounds to my flight which was mentioned in my application.
2. I do not have up to the money I claimed I had in my savings.

Now, I say the reasons were ridiculous because, I submitted two accounts for my sponsor (mom) as supporting documents:

1. Joint account with my dad which had 63 pounds balance, which was the one they checked. But the purpose of this was only to show my parents were married and share a joint account.

2. My moms personal account which had enough money about 4000pounds to cover the 800pounds flight cost.

So obviously, they only checked one account and did not check the main account and assumed she does not have any money of her own.

Secondly, in the form, I declared a savings of 7k pounds and I submitted my 3 bank accounts to support this.
They miraculously checked and mentioned only one bank account which had just 4k pounds in it.
And they claimed, the 4k was not up to the 7k savings I claimed.
For Gods sake, I submitted 3 personal bank accounts and 1 company account. They claimed I submitted 2 accounts, 1 for company and 1 personal with the 4k savings.

Also, I did write a brief but comprehensive cover letter detailing everything and the supporting documents attached.

I registered my company in May, and prior to that all business transactions have been going through my personal account. All these was explained, with proof of earnings and the source, but they obviously did not check and of that and only cherry picked what they want and made a decision that does not add up. They claimed I was self-employed, I am not self-employed. I am employed by my company and payslip of monthly salary of 360k per month was attached.

Also, they mentioned they are not satisfied my sponsor will provide financial support to me during my stay. I never said she would.
My mom is only contributing 800pounds to the budget of 2k pounds. The 800 was only for my flight (which isn't a cost I can't even handle myself, she only planned to do that as a gift). I also included in my cover letter than the rest of the travel expense (1.4k pounds) will be covered by me for accommodation and feeding as I planned to rent an hotel close to where they live.

Now, the thing is I am not desperate to go to the UK, I really don't care as it was just to visit my family, however, all the reasons they refused me for were incorrect.

Do you guys advise me to reapply immediately to contest the decision?

I am thinking if I leave it and apply at a later time, it may confirm their thinking that their decision was right and that I and mom really do not have the funds.

Secondly, if I reapply now, how can I ensure that they check all the documents I submitted especially since it is obvious that they do not check a lot of the supporting documents and cover letter? Where should I put the details they failed to check? If I put all this in another cover letter for the new application, what's to say they will check or not even refuse again?

I await your views.
Thanks a lot.

You gave too much information. The ECO is not looking for the strong part of your application to make decisions, they are all out for the flaws.

You earn 360k, let's assume your ME. is 100k, u left with a monthly DI. of 260k, twice is 520k, guy, u can package your papers and get the visa.

All u need is get an invite for the graduation, parent give u accommodation and reduce your travel duration to two weeks.

All these mom will give me money as gift, is further complicating the whole thing.

Don't even think of contesting it, remember your company is just five months old.

Follow my lead at the top and you will be fine.

The ECO will want to see tie to your country.

If you end up not making the selection, will you come back?, what is that thing that will bring you back to your country?

Before going ahead with this, you need to work on your home tie.

Please can anyone help me with this question...

Your husband is visiting the UK without you, and you are the sponsor, first thing first, you and your husband must have work or a registered company, tax payment needs to show and reflect on paper.

I do not think investment money can be used for lesuire or holidays trip.

You have to save for your holidays and this savings comes from either your employment or your registered business.

Thanks all for the information you share here. It's been very helpful. Applied for 6 months visit visa for a family of four. All four were granted. Timeline below:
Biometrics 18 September
Transferred to VAC 18 September
Decision made on 3 of the applications 2nd October
Decision made on last 1 of the applications 7th October
Collection email on 3 of the applications 8th October
Collection email on last 1 of the applications 10th October
Picked up passports today and all visas granted. However, middle name of my baby was incorrectly spelt. Not sure how to handle that.

Thanks to everyone here

Send a mail immediately to UKVI, bringing this to there notice, they will request you return for correction.

May God bless you all, you have saved so many people's money and making dreams come true here. Someone should send me correct application link so as for me to start afresh.

May I use one of my daughter's email to start the application though I can access it while I input my own personal email in my application. Hope no complications for these?
