So Oga, are you confirming it's free or they would have to pay?......

When the EU scheme started in March this year, the then prime Minister T_MAY placed a fee of 67 pound on it for application, it was later with drawn and became free, so for now, anything that is eu settlement scheme is free... Please c attachment

Please kindly analyse and proffer solution to this refusal letter. Thanks

For the next six months, make sure it is only your stated income that enters that account and make sure that your withdrawal is not above your stated expenses.

Do not allow any inflow... Spend within ur stated income, do this for six months and then reapply... U will be fine... All the best.

Thanks . But what application is he going to apply, is it the normal spouse visa that everyone does and pay huge money? The husband is not EU citizen but was married to EU citizen but divorced.

So this settled status means the husband now have a permanent resident and free from immigration?

What are really the benefits of the settled status and pre settled in the UK?

The husband marriage to an eu citizen gave him his eu status in the UK. It is not everybody in the UK that is qualified, in fact, he is a very luck man for marrying an eu, he got the status because he is documented on the home office data base as an eu citizen.

He is free for life, in fact next year he is a British citizen if he wants to, see first attachment the bottom.

Bring spouse... Read attachment....

Hello house please I want to confirm this indenfite leave to remain from the EU settlement scheme for a friend . My friend's husband in the UK applied for this new EU settlement scheme and he got this kind of biometric card and letter. Please I will like to confirm if he can use it to apply for spouse visa for the wife in Nigeria, since he now has an indenfite leave to remain in the UK under the new EU settlement scheme. I will appreciate responses please. Thank you.

Congrats to your friend.... Yes of course, he can go ahead and apply for her. In fact from the home office website on EU settlement scheme, he is entitled to a British citizenship after a year. And please note, there are two status on the scheme... Pre settled and settled... The settled status is the indefinite that he has.

Please I need clarity here, from this attachment, where it is asked "total amount of money you get in a year"

Is it :

1. The overall amount of money you earn in all employment plus other income?

2. Or Just the total of your other income only..

Please, help with these, as clarity is highly needed here... Many thanks.

Oh ok. If I intend to make a reapplication, would it be ok to 1. Reduce my monthly expenses as stated in my previous application ( i.e from 70k to 50k) 2. Readjust my budget to be able to fall under the "safe zone"?

Give re application time... Don't rush it, allow six months... Cause if u reapply immediately and cut down your budget or readjust as u said above... It will sure show desperation...

Please I need to ask this question on behalf of a friend, as I don't want to rely on my judgment alone, so I need the house contribution on this.

A friend wants to travel, and his disposable income is 130k and he is planning to spend 300k on his trip for ten days. Accommodation, feeding taken care of by sponsor in the UK.

Now, he wants to know, if the ECO won't turn him down, since his spending is 40k over is two months salary.

Please any one with such experience?

Many thanks

Please help with this.

Thank you so very much for the above link... The info is very helpful.

But I have a question, the info seems centered around the sponsor's document, my question is, how do I send my own documents? Am I uploading mine separately and bringing my passport in at the VAC?. will appreciate your response. Many thanks

It's not really about your sponsor, it is mainly your tie to nija... Do your own research, make a list of what tie you, what are the things that will convince the ECO that you will return.

Bro... Job and family na very big tie o...

Update
My husband and i were granted, my 2 kids ages 5 and 7 were refused while the last a year and 8 months was given.

Please advice urgently needed.

From the look of things, the ECO think and concluded that you won't be coming back with the two grown ones.

It's a pity that this is the way they reason and think sometimes. Now this is the test, if you don't travel now with what you have, it will look as if you have a motive.

My advice is, travel, come back and make a fresh application for them, this time addressing that ground of refusal, writing a consent letter and adding more evidence like family pictures, mostly there school graduation pictures with you or your husband, I mean something that connects you all together.

Because, the truth is, contesting the decesion is very expensive, except you have money in excess to spend.

Let's see if we get more expact and pro. contribution.

Writing a letter isn’t a problem but what you wanna tell ECO about your 15months stay its what is important, people only give legal advice here. You just have to be smart for yourself.

Well you didn’t breach the immigration law so you should be alright.

TBH I don’t think they do ask how long you stayed in previous travel, think the form only asks you how long you wanna stay for the proposed travel. What matters is you are back and you didn’t overstayed.

Not your first time application, you should know the docs you need to submit. Good luck

You need to go watch UK boarder series on U_Tube.....
You don't need to overstay B4 you get into trouble.

This same issue happened to someone and he was sent back. Be smart!!!

Lol. I'd appreciate if you could ask anyhow you know that lives in the UK and knows pretty much about this. In Judicial Review, once the claims has been filed, the home office legal department either conceded ( negotiates ) or file their document called the acknowledge of service (let's meet in court). Once again, you are contesting the LEGALITY of the DECISION MADE I.E were the rules followed? If found wanting, the court would order them to reassess the application and they'd pay your legal fees. It's the same way you pay theirs if you lose. I respect you a lot sir, you've been helpful to literally everyone on this thread but on this very argument, You don't know quite well about it. No offense

@Ope...you ve spoken well, Infact, you know what you talking about, appeal and admin review stopped 2013 by the home office and as we speak now you can still appeal or call for admin review on some sets of visit visa based Mainly on human right ground.

And more over, is there a ground or situation in life that affects you or your rights that you can't address using the court of law?... I don't think so.

I know someone that was denied 4 times, he hired a lawyer to put in for him for the 5th time and the home office refused him, base on no solid tie to his country, do you know, the law firm had to seek redress in court... The home office did not only over turn their decision, but also pay the law firm.

This things happens every day, as we speak, there are thousands of judicial review going on, why is someone now making normalcy look as if it is a taboo...

Opeyemi.... You've spoken well...

You will never going to get one until you still misleading people.

Judicial review is not for non-immigration refusal, neither can you appeal a visiting visa refusal.

It is clear that you admit not your mistakes even when you are wrong in all ways, admit you don't know anything about this process and so disappointing, you still arguing with people with practical experience of this issues.

Anyways, thank God for platforms like this, it really brings out the real you...

You will never add to your knowledge, if you keep thinking you know it all...

Hello Justwise,

Just to correct/ clarify what you just said, Judicial review is permitted for tourist visa as well. During the Judicial review, the first step is the "Pre-action protocol" and if home office does not respond within 14 days to 1 month permission to proceed with claim for Judicial Review is lodged at the court and which must be done not later than 3 months after the Home Office’s initial decision.

I personally know 3 people who have gone through the Judicial review process and gotten their decision overturn. With two of them after the pre-action protocol was sent, home office ignored but after the solicitor filed an application for permission in court, home office now became aware that they were serious so they sent a consent letter to the solicitor for them to withdraw it from court and even paid part of the cost incurred by the applicant.

Usually I think in Africa we do not explore all the legal options when unfavourable decisions are made towards us. any this is just my experience of what I know.

" The pre-action protocol is the initial step in the Judicial review process". Google gives more details

Just my one cent

Thank you so much for your contribution, one thing I noticed about the @justwise is he believes he knows all, and till now he has not come out to formally apologize for using the word misleading.

B4 now, held his person in high esteem, but from his attack on my post over this issue, felt really disappointed.

One thing we all need to know is we learn new things every day of our lives, and we will never stop learning. @justwise, I still demand that apology from you.

You don't know it all, learn, and stop attacking people's opinions over issues you know nothing about. It is well with you.

Hello Justwise,

Please Judicial review is actually for all categories of visa including non-immigration visa's. My solicitors in london have been winning a lot of non-immigrant refusals through Judicial review.

I used to ask questions for my sister but she was refused so we are going through a Judicial review and a letter before claim has been sent to the home office now and we are waiting. If they dont respond after sometime then they will proceed with the next action. ECOs sometimes just refuse anyhow and if you have a good case and you challenge them they reconsider their decision and issue visa. Will update the house

Thank you and may your days be long.....

Pls house, I want to ask for the benefits of doubts.... Can a sponsorer successfully sponsor his worker to the UK for a conference meeting, even if the worker doesn't have to submit his own statement of account
Thanks

The employee statement of account is one evidence that shows that he/she is in that employment. Payslip may work instead, but without a statement, I doubt if it will fly. Let's see if there is someone here with such experience.
