Who's paying?

This transfer window so far has been the most exciting in the last few years. Nani, Anderson, Hargreaves and possibly Tevez makes for one frightening line-up. What concerns me is that we might go the Chelsea route and have a lot of disgruntled players not getting enough opportunities and that is never good. Dressing-room unrest is big factor and could often be the difference between winning and losing the league. One look at Chelsea should tell us that.

We need a few players to leave. Heinze is a good example of a good player desiring to leave for regular first-team football.

Our front line today reads Rooney, Tevez (common we all know he is coming), Saha, Smith, Rossi, Dong Fongzhou and Solskjaer. I dont see Saha, Dong and Ole having issues being benched. Rossi is young and ambitious and if we can nurture him, we could have a great line up in two years' time. Smith (alas!) is all but gone.

The midfield should clearly see Richardson go. Only four out of Scholes, Giggs, Ronaldo, Hargreaves, Carrick, Nani, Anderson, Fletcher and Park will play. Unless calamity strikes, I do not see Fletcher or Park breaking into the first team next season.

The defence is a bigger concern. I would rather see Heinze stay and Silvestre leave. But Silvestre will be a far better squad player and stay content playing lesser games than Heinze or Evra would.

I trust Sir Alex to manage the squad well but a squad rotation policy like the pool will see us lose some points. Managing the 20 players out of a 31-member squad who aren't playing will be the bigger challenge this upcoming season. A few departures and recouping a few million will help me rest easy.

Look at the players United bought this season. . .

Hargreaves - Obviously to replace our long gone Keane. His purchase was solely a strategy to make the United middle stronger. U'll agree with me that we played the whole of last season without a natural 4, so getting Hargreaves was reasonable.

Nani - You dont have to be a genius to tell that Giggs is prolly playing his last season for United. Nani's purchase was solely so that he could learn from Giggs this season and get into his shoes when the veteran leaves. . Moreso, he is very very young. He'll surely learn. .So gettin Nani was reasonable

Anderson - Same reason as Nani. But this time, Scholes. Age would definitely catch up with him whether he likes it or not. So Anderson is to get in his shoes when he leaves. . So, gettin Anderson was reasonable
