Religion / Re: What Is Your Personal Beliefs About Satan And Devil? by justlove91(m): 9:20pm On Sep 22 |
Satan, the fallen angel does not exist. Devils however exist, just not as depicted by religion. Devils are of two types. 1. Thought forms: In the other side, thoughts tend to be objective, it collects astral matter round itself and become a temporary living entity. Evil thoughts are diabolical in their form and influence on other minds. These thought forms don't have any intelligence, their activities is prompted by the thoughts that brought them into existence. They've a sort of survival instinct and they tend to influence other minds that vibrates in their level to produce similar thought force which they "feed" on. Thought forms of the same nature tend to attract each other and form powerful center, so there are anger centers jealous centers, hatred etc. When a human yields himself to these thoughts, he links his mind to the corresponding center, "feeding" it and the center also send reciprocal influence to him to produce more of the same thoughts. We all know how evil thoughts like hatred escalates quickly to find expression in physical action if not checked. The whole of earth's mental atmosphere is filled with these thoughts and centers roaming about looking for who to devour (feed on). These thought forms and the resulting centers do not have any independent existence, humans are the ones feeding them, if everyone stopped producing thought forces they can feed on, they will quickly dry up due to lack of nourishment. The above also applies to good thoughts also, kind, lovely or compassionate thoughts also produce corresponding thought forms that are beautiful in form and benevolent in their influence on people's mind. As it is now, these kinds of thought forms and their corresponding centers are few compared to their diabolical counterpart. That's why we are urged to keep our thoughts clean so that we can strengthen the good thought centers and weaken the evil centers. 2. "Dead" evil humans: There is no death, what we call death is a transition to another dimension of reality. The process called death doesn't change people's personality which means a wicked person remains wicked after so called death. The evil man is attracted to other evil men and they roam about looking for minds to influence to become as they are. This is why capital punishment is wrong, a serial killer for example is arrested and instead of the state to keep him confined so that he is not able hurt anyone again, the state sets him free by "killing" him. Being free of the drag of his physical body, his sphere of influence is extended to the whole earth, he roams around with the speed of thought looking for minds to influence to carry out what he loves doing. Behind any addiction are these human devils, who were also addicts in their earth life, influencing minds to indulge in their addiction so that they can at least have a taste of their addiction once more. For example, a bar is filled with "dead" drunkards, the urge to drink goes on raging in them but they can't satisfy it having no physical body, so they hang around bars and other places where alcohol is indulge in, influencing their fellow drunkards or anybody that as it in him/her to drink so that through him they can somehow in a sick sort of way have a taste of their poison. But having no physical body, they can only have a taste, a mere mockery of the former pleasure they enjoy. So, the urge never stops, they go on craving more and more and in the process further dragging down themselves and their preys and chained firmly to their addiction. Unlike thought forms, these "devils" have independent existence, they're not feed to stay alive like thought forms are. If human minds are so advanced that they are unable to influence it, they will still exist but powerless. Thought devil will always remain evil, it can't change it nature. They're like robot programmed to do a thing and will and can't deviate from it. But human devils can change, they've will power, every single one of them have the power to change, to leave darkness behind and climb gradually towards to light. |

MaxInDHouse: My question about an investigation leading to another version of God is not really about me, just asking on behalf of someone out there, this was made apparent when I asked you the question again here Hope that clears things up, I already told you the two things I'm interested in and God is not among. |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 3:19pm On Sep 21 |
MaxInDHouse:I really don't, just as I don't also care who the real Muslims, Buddhists, Hindu etc are, their assignments or the result of their work. Lord Buddha is not my Lord, God or Master, just someone that I love his teachings on the cause of human mental suffering. Work? Abeg o, Lord Buddha did not give anybody work to do for him, he just offered his teachings and anyone that his teachings resonate with can decide to leave by it. I hope you're not thinking what I think you're thinking. Do you think I worship him because I call him Lord?? |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 9:10am On Sep 21 |
MaxInDHouse:I don't care one bit who Christians are, their assignment or the result of their work.
I don't care if you're a Christian, Muslim, Jehovah witness or any other religions, if you prioritize belief over character, then you're all the same to me. So, sorry you're still down there with the rest of the folks. Or am I wrong to conclude that Jehovah witnesses also prioritize belief over character?
You're still confusing my use of the word Lord to mean God, my use of the word equates more to mean Master instead of God. So, instead of saying Lord Buddha I may as well say Master Buddha but that doesn't sound cool as Lord Buddha |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 8:10am On Sep 21 |
MaxInDHouse: You're missing the point Bro, "Lord" here is used as a sign of respect, some wives (at least in the olden days) even address their husband as Lord. |

Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 7:09am On Sep 21 |
MaxInDHouse: Lord Buddha is not a God nah, "Lord" here is used just as a sign of respect just as lawyers address the judge as Lord in the court. |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 7:21pm On Sep 20 |
StillDtruth: Lord Buddha will not get angry The Holy Grail of emotional intelligence is realizing that nothing anyone say or do can make you angry, it is your brain's reaction to what was said or done that is creating the anger. When someone said something and you feel angry, the word (sound wave) is out there and your brain detected it but the anger you feel is not something out there that your brain detects, it is 100% created by your brain due to its reaction to what was said. Now, you can't always control what people do or say about you but you can always work on your brain's conditioning such that it reacts less and less angrily to things and maybe someday one can reach the high state of perfect equanimity where nothing anyone says or does disturbs ones peace, the ancient Greeks call this state ataraxia. |

StillDtruth: Dude you're getting angry o go sign up for emotional intelligence course. |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 1:05pm On Sep 20 |
StillDtruth: This shows you don't read to understand only to argue. Any intelligent person will realize that I'm only referring to negative emotions like anger, jealousy and co. Again, an unintelligent response, do you have to live with a monk to realize that there is something called emotional intelligence?? That a person prone to anger can recondition his brain to produce less of this emotion using emotion regulation skills?? Of course you will be happy at people's suffering nah, sane person dey worship a psychopath and sadist before?? |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 7:03am On Sep 20 |
MaxInDHouse: Let take the case of the cult guy again. In his cult group, we find these attributes 1. Harmony. 2. Unity. 3. Trust. 4. A feeling of safety within the group. Now, since his cult is a bad group, you said it's influenced by dark forces but how can dark forces creates those positive attributes? According to the spirit teachings, one of the main reasons why light is powerful than darkness is because millions of light beings can come together willingly to achieve a purpose. But in the dark planes no such unity exist, they may want the same thing but it is hard work to bring them together to work in harmony or unity to achieve their purpose. In other words, these dark forces don't have those attributes I listed up there hence, they can't induce it in human because you can't give what you don't have. |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 9:04pm On Sep 19 |
MaxInDHouse: I only mentioned the cult guy's case to show you that unity can occur with any belief system(for good or bad), the only criterion is that the individuals in the group take the group's ideology serious and live by it.
I don't believe in a God because 1. I can't wrap my head around the idea of an all powerful and all knowing being just existing without any gradual progression, he is just always as been perfect and complete. Don't you find it strange that his attributes are always at the extreme end? He is not only powerful he is all powerful, he doesn't just know some stuff he is all knowing. It seems to me that the probability of such a being just existing without any prior progression is extremely low. But I believe in Gods, what are Gods? We were made to know that there are numerous planes of existence in the other side ranging from the darkest to the highest brightest plane. I call those beings occupying the highest plane Gods (or the shining ones) because they're the highest beings in existence. But these Gods has not always been like that, they all got to their high state through gradual progress over eons of time. 2. Ultimately ones belief or disbelief in God will not determine the plane one finds himself after his transition but ones character and how one lived his life here. (Sowing and reaping). So I don't bother myself with God's existence, maybe there is a God maybe not, I don't know. |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 7:13pm On Sep 19 |
MaxInDHouse: Instead of supernatural forces I will say psychological forces. Now you're playing the number game my friend, if it can happen locally it can equally happen globally. Imagine if the guy's cult spread to all universities in the world, he will enjoy the same privilege but now globally. |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 6:30pm On Sep 19 |
MaxInDHouse: The fact that a group of people can unite as one under the same belief system only shows that the individuals in the group take the ideology of the group seriously thereby creating a sort of brotherly atmosphere among them, it doesn't mean a supreme agent is involved. For example, there was this cultist guy in my hostel back in Uni, he always takes pride in the fact that he can visit any university in Nigeria and he will not go hungry or without shelter even without knowing anyone, all he has to do is find his cult members in the Uni, identify himself (that is, convince them he is a member) and he is sure to get all the help and support he needs. |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 5:15pm On Sep 19 |
MaxInDHouse: You still haven't answered my question though. If someone else's investigation lead him to belief in another version of God, is his investigation invalid since it did not lead him to your version of God? |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 5:06pm On Sep 19 |
MaxInDHouse: I already have enough ideas or material to cope with life, such as Buddhist profound realization of how the human tendencies to crave what we want/like and resist what we don't want/like create much of our emotional suffering, stoicism teachings of achieving the state of ataraxia (inner peace), different skills on emotional intelligence. So, as you can see, I got this life that's why I'm more concerned about whether there is anything else after this, whether death is a full stop or the beginning of a new chapter. |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 4:50pm On Sep 19 |
MaxInDHouse: I don't concern myself with those questions. I'm more concerned about these two questions. 1. Is there life after death?. 2. If yes, what is the conditions of life over there. And Spiritism/Mediumship answered these questions to my satisfaction. |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 4:34pm On Sep 19 |
MaxInDHouse: Does the investigation always lead to the biblical God? I mean if my investigation lead me to another version of God is that "investigation" valid? |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 4:08pm On Sep 19 |
MaxInDHouse: I hope you know the fact that you can prove the existence of invisible forces doesn't automatically prove the existence of your own version of God. Moreover, if we don't introduce God before accepting physical forces why can't we accept these invisible forces without introducing God? |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 3:57pm On Sep 19 |
StillDtruth: You mean when you get to your fairytale heaven in the sky, you all will still get angry, jealous, mad etc.
The fact is your God is just a big human in the sky with zero emotional intelligence.
I don't have to live with a monk to know that the brain can be rewired or reprogrammed to produce less and less of these negative emotions, that's what emotionally intelligence is all about.
He go endure tire, he never see anything no be him want creatures with freewill? He should be ready to endure with comes with that. O Lord come and avenge Thyself! You go cry tire, your God wouldn't hear because what doesn't exist cannot hear or do nothing |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 8:04pm On Sep 17 |
StillDtruth: The issue is not that he feels emotions but the type of emotions he feels. Your God feels jealous, angry, regret etc those are low level emotions not benefitting of a God. Most humans especially Buddhist and Hindu monks know these emotions are low level emotions and they make it their life work to eradicate these emotions and achieve a state a nirvana. But your God is still stuck with these negative emotions. |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 11:35am On Sep 17 |
StillDtruth: That's not an insult nah, if he has the same attributes as us (you agree he gets angry, he regrets, he gets jealous etc) that makes him just a very big human. |

NeoWanZaeed: Marriage is not just about physical development but also about mental and emotional development, is a nine year old girl mentally and emotionally developed enough to handle marriage? Or do girls that age also mentally and emotionally develop very fast then?
@bolded You mean a person that just leave Islam peacefully to practise another religion but doesn't blaspheme or criticize his creator shouldn't be beheaded? And when you preach Islam to people do you remember to tell and emphasize the fact that they will be beheaded if they decide to leave?
Do Mohamed and his followers do those things I itemized during his time? And do we have any Islamic nation now? |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 6:41am On Sep 17 |
NeoWanZaeed: I appreciate your honesty with question one and two. If Mohamed married a six year old Aisha and consummated the marriage when she was nine years old, can you now see why non Muslims call Mohammed a pedophile? How do you reconcile beheading of apostasy with the verse that says there is no compulsion in religion? What do you mean my third question only applies to Islamic nation? This is the rule Mohammed asked his sahab to follow when they go out to spread Islam to non Muslim communities. 1. Preach to them. 2. If they refuse, ask them to pay compulsory Jizya. 3. If they again refuse to pay Jizya, wage war against them. |
Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 6:27am On Sep 17 |
StillDtruth: That explains alot like how he also get angry, jealous, revenge etc. In other words your God is just a glorified human being. |

Religion / Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church Or Believing In God by justlove91(m): 6:37pm On Sep 16 |
NeoWanZaeed: Answer these questions then. 1. At what age did Mohammed married Aisha? 2. What is the penalty for apostasy in Islam? 3. When Mohammed send his followers to a new province or town, he firstly tell them to preach about Islam to the people, if the people did not accept Islam, they were asked to pay jizya (a sum of money ) for not accepting Islam, if the people refuse to pay jizya the sahabs must wage war against them. Is this true or false? |

Religion / Re: Lets Talk About Eckankar by justlove91(m): 12:14pm On Sep 10 |
chieveboy: By Angel and Death, do you mean it as a figure of speech or you believe there is actually a being responsible for death. |
