Lol you don try na...
To even stay in an offshore rig na mind... Over here we don't have any single female on our rigs. From catering, house keeping, 3rd party, drilling crew all na guys and i think i prefer it that way because of safety reasons.

What was your rotation then? Are you still on this job? I really respect hard working ladies and i pray that God will grant me one.
Every week....so long as the facilities are running. Like yours is deep shore proper. Mine is swamp. I knows that ladies are a rare 'commodity' in most locations....lol. Anyways some locations do have them, even in deep shore proper. Heard of a young lady that operates there and stay as long as a month sef! She is so good that she is highly recommended. Now that's levelsssss. But in swamp locations sha, you can get an average of 2 or 3 ladies out of over a hundred men.....phewwwwww!

Don't worry, you will find a hardworking lady.......just look well!

IzonOwei:
yyou want to work offshore??
this your question is too direct... lol. Anyways, will like to work in the oil n gas environment but not offshore. I however do some monitoring in some facilities in the swamp as a contractor. Though it is kinda same thing just that offshore is strictly water no land. Just the ocean, facility and you!....chopper airlifts you, you are surrounded by water ( and land in this case), guys everywhere....lol... So it's kinda same thing. My desire is to work on land though or the office thing....

In a nutshell, no to offshore, yes to land. But might just reconsider if I get an offer. Will then have to get my BOSIET cos what I have right now is HUET.

lol you want to do IT you want the company to give you accomodation? I have two vacancies for an IT placement in PH now, one in Eleme the other in NDDC bt unfortunatly your a lady, the vacancies are for men, bt can your work with Adax in Owerri? & may i know ur course?
Oga Scantee please o! I'm interested in working in the oil and gas sector. know it is male dominated but any chance for a female will be appreciated. Presently do environmental compliance monitoring for an oil and gas facility. I have HUET and level 2 training in HSE. studied Geography And Environmental Mgt. My coy pays peanut. it is that bad! Why I wanna leave but still want to remain in the sector. Love the experience. Working in a male dominated environment. Learned a lot over a short period of time. Still learning especially in my area of compliance monitoring and even HSE. Know what a flow station is like and how it's being operated. I love the experience! But sha prefer to work in the office like the cooperate environment department cos I'm a young girl hoping to settle down soon. lol

And please, it will be nice to incooperate more females in this sector, cos the first time I landed on a facility..... damnn.......was like the only female in the midst of over a hundred guys! Chai! smallie me!.....

well done sir, for raising this platform!
CareerRe: Offshore Oil Worker, lets Meet Here by justsmile(f): 7:07pm On Apr 28, 2015

......I live their in their land at d moment...mark is d only credible man they got. the rest are farmers and bloody illiterate.
This is not correct please! Chief Madaki Ameh, a barister and successful business man, is contesting against him under APC! This is the man you guys need! Go figure!

B3sty:
On a serious note, David Mark has done NOTHING in Zone C. I'm an Idoma dude from Otukpa, Go to Otukpo, not just Otukpo , check other Idoma speaking LGS, u'll weep for Idoma Nation. No Federal Job for u if u're from Zone C where he comes from. He single Handedly bought all the Slots for the just concluded Army recruitment. That Man is a Devil in disguise. Young Alhaji would have been a better choice but the Idoma people are only interested in "Give us Money/Kill Goat for us, We give u our Votes" that has been d norm for a long time.
God Bless Nigeria!
God bless Middle Belt!
God Bless The Idoma Nation!!!
My dear, the Idoma people can change this! You people have the vote, thus, you have the power! I'm not from benue but from what I know, Idoma has suffered enough! People on this forum are asking, "is there no other candidate than Mark?!".......I have an answer, there is! Chief Madaki Ameh is contesting under APC. He is the man Idoma people need! He's not going there for anything other than the passion for the Idoma people and to prove that David Mark isn't the only person in Idoma that can represent the people! You guys should go out there and vote for a change! Thank you!

PS: I'm neither for APC or PDP..... Neither I'm I from Benue State! Cheers!

Buttergrey:
Hi dear, we don't have it in stock but we can definitely procure it for you via our "Request & Receive" program.

The original comes in the made in Nigeria wrap. However, make sure you are buying from a reputable seller as anyone can easily make those wraps. The NAFDaC scratch area isn't enough to prove authenticity as fake ones do come with it. If you're in doubt, place an order on our site.

We can get it for you via our "Request & Receive" program dear.

FashionRe: DIY (do It Yourself) & Sew Along by justsmile(f): 4:31pm On Jul 14, 2014
Pls ma, I also don't have a sewing machine. Can I use needle and thread?
FashionRe: DIY (do It Yourself) & Sew Along by justsmile(f): 4:21pm On Jul 14, 2014
arakulture: Pls. Feel free to use any type if fabric, u don't have to use 3diff types like d pix.

@justsmile... if you go back from the beginning, and read carefully taking note of d figures, note that d figures are just for explanation purposes, u will change it to ur measurement. try to understand it then apply to urs.

If u look at the pix 3 u will notice that d dress has diff colours e.g. colour block, each of d colour is way l called panel.

Do u understand before I continue?

Will post pix today. Need to reduce d size then upload.
I understand now! Thanks a lot
FashionRe: DIY (do It Yourself) & Sew Along by justsmile(f): 10:00pm On Jul 11, 2014
arakulture: Back to our colour block panel dress (pic 3).

Material Needed

Fabric 2 - 2.5yards depending on your size.
Body measurement
Chalk
Pins
Invisible zip (optional)
Tape rule
Sewing machine (or needle if you don't have a machine)

Using my measurement & method (for those u can sew. U can use ur method where necessary).

Shoulder 15
Bust 36 + 1 ease
Waist 31
Length 35.5 + 1.5 allowance
Shoulder - Nipple point 10
Hip 40
Arm 12
Sleeve length 6 (can be any figure depending on d desired length)
Round sleeve 12 (depends on d circumference of d length).
Armhole (measure for proper fit, I don't do guess work in most cases).

Now for the panels of our dress which is 4 (13 by 9 by 13 by 12 by 1.5). Let me break it down for proper clarification.

I use 13inches for the first panel, 9inches for the second panel and 12inches for d thirdly panel and d last panel which is a black strip is 1.5inches.

Note. The figures above is my finished dress measurement.

Getting your fabric ready.

Using my body measurement, d biggest part of my measurement is way we will use to cut our panels which is 40 (my hips) for some it's their bust, u know we have diff body shape.

Now divide d 40 by 2 = 20

First panel will be. 13 + 2 (allowance) height by 20 + 2 (sewing allowance) width - u will understand dis later.

Second panel is 9 + 1 (height by 20 + 2 (width)

Third panel is 12 + 1 (height by 20 + 2 (width)

4 panel is 1.5 + 1.5 (height by 20 + 2 (width)

Do you all understand, Can I continue?
I'm a novice! Really don't understand this! What is the "panel"? How did you come about the figures? Pls bear with me! Really want to learn! Thanks

Like someone has posted already, she's just 20yrs, still an undergraduate, still vulnerable to peer pressure. She's yet to know what life is in the 'real world'.... Not defending her though but c'mon!!! Just be straight with her....whenever she ask for money and you have, give her. And when you don't, tell her you don't have to give. Just be sincere about it! When you have more than enough, give her without her even asking! If she aint okay with it, let her walk!

Btw.....why spend 19k on suit?!!! That contact I gave to you the other time has new designer arrivals (good ones) and you will save as much as 5K. Oya do the math and know how cheap the suits go for! PM me if you've misplaced his number.

wizb: Yes o, it was way below my expectation. Imagine the instructor telling you that princess seam does not need any measurement, you just draw a curve from the armhole for both back and front. I don't want to go into details so I don't derail this thread. Will let you know if I get one.
K.....thanks!
