MightySparrow: May be God is man's problem. No knowledge of His is exact, why? It all depends on where you are. Which God are you talking about and what knowledge of his do you have? To all my dear Muslim brothers and sisters, this short clip is meant for you. I quite understand the religion is complex and it really takes the grace of God to be on the right path. Having listened to the clip, I wonder if there are more than one Quran! It's a message from the Quran itself and I'm sure some of you, even if just one, may benefit from it.

It's also an honor since that is the last time she's going to known and called by her family name (under ideal situation).
This is not too much considering that a woman is practically giving up herself to be under a man. She's giving up her name to take yours. Give her the honor of bearing that name for the last time on they great day by coming first! |

1.5m Not even up to 150,000! In fact the money was transfer to my account less than one week by one of those who bought rand from me. No thanks to our employer who is owing us! Yes, I had less than 500k from both my Naija and SA account combined. However, I included my fellowship award (~R16k/month). Obviously, this is even less than the stipulated minimum of R8,500/person/month As at the time of inviting my wife, I had only been paid one month stipend and having sent some amount home, made some purchases, I had about (R11k) in my SA account. I couldn't even get the real statement of account here in SA. They said my account was still less than a month, so I was only issued an interim statement which I certified from the police. So, I wonder why people having over 1 M in their accounts are saying their applications were rejected for financial reasons. bukundy: Please did you mean a balance of 150k or 1.5m...beacause the addition of 150k and R11k is about 500k.... Replied valjoy: Hello, i sent you a PM. |

Since I get asked this question often, let me put it here once and for all. I can't say precisely, but judging from the minimum (R8,500/person/month) expected for a relative visa ( http://www.dha.gov.za/index.php/immigration-services/types-of-visas), I guess it's safe to work a bit above the minimum. R8,500 should be around N212,500 - N255,000 depending on the prevailing exchange rate. While inviting my wife, I used both my naija (<N150K) and SA (about R11k) account details. That's why I told Bobnono that her sister's visa rejection couldn't have been due to financial reasons since 1 M in the sister's account is R 33,333 (@ N30/R). Sometimes, rejection due to insufficient fund is flimsy. But if actually that was the case, then you had probably given yourself out somewhere else. For instance, you are applying for visitor's visa (90 days) but the dates on your ticket or/and letter to the embassy indicates more months will be spent, definitely the fund would be insufficient besides the fact that you are not being honest. Hope this helps someone Shajaya: Congrats bro. please like how-much can the sponsor have in is account to facilitate family reunion visa. a friend of mine got rejected recently based on insufficient fund |

Please can anyone help me out?
I need to book a ticket for my wife but I can't seem to find airline with extension beyond one year! I'm afraid of booking a one-way ticket for her because she was given visitor's visa just like me though with a 2-year validity. I came with one-way ticket but was almost denied boarding. So, to prevent her going through that I wish to book a return ticket directly but she will still be in SA when the ticket expires.
Has anyone here used one-way ticket on visitor's visa or extended visa validity beyond 1 yr? Kindly advise me, please |

Thanks so much @ Bukundy The difference is quite much! bukundy: @Justt, try check some government approved covid 19 test centers on NCDC website. My husband paid 50,400 for his test @Afriglobal but his friend had his own at a government center( Federal Medical Center, Owo....this center is for people in Ondo State) for just 10k. The service is even better.than Afriglobal's...result is sent to one's mail within 24hrs without any delay. |

It's well. Sometimes, things don't just go the way we planned even after giving our best Best of luck next time. bobnono: Thanks brothers: @ Theyoungmatron @ justt
@ justt,
I did certified all documents and we never got any calls from them to confirm the invitation letter or anything & I also stated it in the letter that I would take all responsibility financially and she would be staying with us.
At first when i mailed those documents to her i did not include a marriage certificate and flight.
It was not my intention to add those extra they requested for it on the day she wanted to submit that without it she must sign a letter that when her visa declined they would not be held responsible. On the day of submission she called that they refused to accept all the documents they wanted for a marriage certificate and i asked why this is just a visit? said since i am a Nigerian they don't care about my status here in SA that she must use my wife since she's originally from SA. She's a SA born Zim so they would be needing our marriage certificate and my sis made arrangement there with a law firm...
I don't want to use agents because they might put something bad down due to long time experience. |

Sorry about the rejection. Sometimes, visa officers could be torn in the flesh and may be unpredictable! I strongly believe the rejection is not due to financial reasons (your sister's account) but with documentations. If you are the one inviting and had indicated full responsibility for her welfare, her account details is just an addition. I also guess document coming from SA are expected to be certified by the Police, did you get them certified? Too much documentations may also be a problem. I guess adding your wife's account may be wrong. You shouldn't spend all you have to take care of a visitor. bobnono: Hi, just be patient!
is it a study visa or what? Study visa applicants should be patient a little bit... because even sa citizens here are also facing challenges due to changes in semester and new laws only to accept new 20k students from metric or so... Due to covid things might be hard...but don't lose hope with God all things are possible.
My big sister applied for visit last year December 12th or so before they went for holiday. We just got a reply today and it was declined due to insufficient funds (personal account). I stated in the letter that i would be taking care of everything financially and also another reason for rejections is because documents lack credibility. She had 1m and got salary payment Monthly with #150k. Apart from that we started we would take care of everything in the invitation letter and sponsorship.
For the document's credibility I did DHL all documents and nothing was fake.
For a visitor visa I went the extra mile to add more documents such as a marriage certificate, our Id's, letters of invitation, sponsorship and property rates and tax. Our last names were all the same.
I got citizenship and my wife also and we added both bank accounts and that of my wife were added also. I don't understand...
I will be calling the embassy tomorrow to ask questions just googly to see if laws have changed also...
Please does anyone have any idea what is needed? don't they regard sponsorship anymore? must a visitor to SA earn and have over a millions before they can be approved to visit their family? even if you have someone sponsoring you financially? |

It is so sad that I was banned from posting for no obvious reasons. Even after the expiration of the ban, my posts were still being deleted followed with another ban! This is really ridiculous. What's Nairaland turning into? I guess it's time to activate guest mode. So, let me just respond to all my mentions here once and for all: mikael11: Was there any 14 days quarantine you did? Because I'm working on my honeymoon in March 29th after wedding 27th. If I apply next week Tuesday how long do you think I will get reply because I need this information quickly so that I can work on alternatives like Mauritius. Thank you for your kind reply I was told since my covid test was negative, I didn't have to observe quarantine period. My application took exactly two weeks while my wife's took 2 months and three days. Probably her application took that long because of the sudden rise in covid in December. But now that the infection rate is going down and/or they now have some vaccines, I think application should not take that long. I can't really give a definite answer as to how long your application will take but the earlier you submit the better. I would like to suggest that you should back up every claim with relevant documents. That may help to facilitate decision on you application. Rilarf: Justt. Thank you so much for the information.. that was helpful You are welcome pufframmy: was it tourist or family reunion Family reunion |

No, same statement of "your application is received and under assessment..." was displayed throughout. During my own application however, I received both text and email when the application was transferred from VFS to the embassy and when it was collected again by VFS after approval. She didn't receive any text messages at all though she paid for it. She was only sent an email after the approval that her application had been processed and passport collected by VFS. Rilarf: Congratulations. We tap into the annointing. Please did her status change on the tracking site before she got the visa delivered? |

And you were just saying yesterday that the tracking site was showing under assessment. Does it mean that the visa had been approved without them updating the application status? |

Vick6666: Good day guys I went to the high commission yesterday lucky I was allowed to get in and I saw a South African lady I expressed my concern and she sympathized with me she immediately referred me to the immigration section and someone asked for my name she said she will be back when she came back she said I can leave and my application will be finalized today my application was finalized... I hope this will help anyone who is also waiting on their applications since last year November. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Born Again: This Is The Only Way To Make Heaven by justt: 12:05pm On Jan 17, 2021 |
JesusSonOfGod: There's no way you can make heaven, except you are born again. There's no other way, no other short cut to enter the Kingdom of God except by being born again. This is why Jesus Christ stated it and made it clear how important it is by saying "Verily verily..."
No matter how good you may be, no matter how many poor people you have helped, no matter how charitable you are and no matter how you have abstained from sin, if you are not born again, you will end up in hell.
This is not a matter of denomination, this is the truth. You can't make heaven with your self righteousness, it must be God's righteousness, which you can only receive through being born again and preserving it by living righteously. By the manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit in your life, which is also the character of Jesus Christ reflecting in your life.
Time is ticking. If you are reading this and you are not born again yet, then you are not reading this by coincidence. Come to Jesus and be saved.
To be born again, you must hear the Gospel, believe in Jesus Christ, repent of sins, confess Jesus Christ and be baptized. Then grow in faith by studying the word of God frequently. These should be done in a Bible believing church. God bless you.
John 3 : 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, He cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3 :5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, He cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Thanks for putting this here. When next you are having a post like this, kindly include the salvation prayer because you never can tell someone somewhere might want to give his/her life to Christ. The highlighted portion is not descriptive enough. Are you reading this and would want to give your life to Christ? Check my profile. |
