Which side so you really belong to, Righteousness?

As much as many including myself, have appreciated your posts here, I must confess some of your posts, including the quoted one is not a post expected from an individual of your spiritual pedigree, at least, from the way you have presented yourself as a servant of Christ.

No believers in Christ should rejoice when sinners go to hell. Jesus who is our saviour and role model said, 'father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing'. The Bible also says God is not interested in the dead of sinners.

Am I saying Israel should look on while they are being attacked? No. However, I'm saying your attitude and responses, which show you are happy is not a feature or nature of Jesus you claim to represent! Are you saying you will happy if Israel or any country for that matter bomb Iran or if all Muslims get killed? Do you know God also loves Iranians and all Muslims and wants them saved?

Please ask yourself if Jesus would have taken your stand of rejoicing at the destruction of Muslims as you are doing. Don't get be-clouded by religion. Rather, let love, the agape love, which Jesus exemplify fill your heart.

Celebrating the death of sinners is not the spirit of Christ as that is tantamount to rejoicing that the payment Christ made for them is wasted! Possibly, you haven't seen your attitude in this way.
Christianity EtcRe: Was David Abioye Spiritual Prowess Being Stifled Under Oyedepo All These Years? by justt: 12:10pm On Nov 17, 2024
Basicend:
Dear Writer,

Spiritual authority and depth is earned tru the exact paths that God has put before you.

Skills, knowledge and spiritual gifts are not enough.

Many people like Bishop Abioye coz he seems humble, I believe that is one of the reasons why God allowed him to back Bishop Oyedepo for many years.

Bishop Oyedepo is an aggressive lion, and needs someone close with some calm, worded and balanced appeal to carry the ministry weight.

If Bishop Abioye is not called to patriach a ministry pathway by himself, he would not have gotten to where he is today.

It is only the hand of God that gives a voice and makes a man great. And this has to do with obedience to his will or burden.

* * Arguably, even the greatest man of God in Nigeria today, Pastor E.A Adeboye did not own a church. Not a single parish of RCCG belongs to him or his family. . but becoz he connected himself to God"s needed move for that season, his name was established tru God's name.

Whereas, God permitted Bishop Oyedepo and some others to create paths and establish churches directly.
This is apparently word of wisdom. God bless you sir/ma.

A lot of promising believers who would have been a great blessing to the body of Christ have missed this. They have gone ahead to early to establish their own ministry just because they have some spiritual gifts!

Spiritual gifts in itself are not enough. There is place of humility and obedience to the will and God.
Christianity EtcRe: Can A New Christian Convert Keep All His 4 Wives Or Send Three Away? by justt:
Hmm.
This is not correct.

In as much as I believe in restitution and correcting one's errors as much as possible, the Bible doesn't say anywhere that those who married more than one wive should divorce them.

Yes, in the new testament, the Bible doesn't encourage polygamy, but it also never says that polygamy is a sin. It's better to stay within the limit of the word of God.

The limit the Bible places on those who engage in polygamy is that they cannot occupy leadership positions (1 Tim 3:1-5, Tit 1:6). The reason for this should be obvious. A leader should be a good example - a role model, particular in properly ruling his home. Unfortunately, it is difficult, if not impossible to have a well-managed polygamous family.

If it is sinful to have more than one wife, apparently, Paul wouldn't have listed having one one wife at part of the criteria for selecting a leader. So, by saying a leader should be someone with one wife already indicated that there were people in the church with more than one wife.

While polygamy in itself, just like alcohol, is not a sin, the possibility that it will lead to sin is quite high.
I guess in an attempt to prevent believers from falling into sin, which the polygamy and alcohol provides more avenue for, church leaders just concluded that these habits are sinful. While the intention is noble and well-intended, it's still not biblical.

No responsible and serious Christian would go into polygamy, but for those, for whatever reasons, who found themselves in the state, especially before meeting Christ, they should not be made to commit further errors by sending their wives away.

If they send those women away, who will marry them? What about the children? How would they feel about a God who claims to be love, yet couldn't accept their mum?

I believe the words of Paul in 1 Cor 7:20 that everyone should remain in the same calling in which he was called is also very relevant here. The question that should be asked is that is this man already saved even with his wives or is sending his wives away that grants him salvation?

Righteousness2:
True Repentance means turning away from your evil deeds.
Repentance means making right your wrongs.

Read The Conversion story of the tax collector in Luke 19 Zaccheus .

You cant remain with the sin and claim you are saved. You are deceiving yourself.

A Sinner is not a Christian. 1 john 3:8
A Christian is not a Sinner 1 John 3:9

True repentance of a man with more than one woman will entail him settling all his sin partners , sending them back to their parents and making peace with his 1st legally married Wife.
This is true Repentance.

Any other thing is you Deceiving yourself.

So the whole of nairaland should clap for you that you survived your suicide attempt abi!!??

If you had died from those thrown stones, you would have committed suicide and you'll pay dearly for misusing your life on misdirected preaching!!

What exactly were you preaching?

For Muslims to accept Jesus as their personal lord and Savior unless they won't be saved?

Why don't Christians in general sit down and think for once?

Would God send a child to damnation by placing such child In a Muslim woman womb TO BE BORN IN A MUSLIM FAMILY?

You're Christian because you were born in a Christian family...if your father was a Muslim, your name would have been Mohammed!!

Don't you get!!!

So you're saying God is picking side by placing you to be born in a Christian family!!!

The way you people insult God and come in public to display...

So we should clap for you that you almost committed suicide.. grin

Funny Christian community...

It's this sort of Christians that are the worst form of Tribalist you will ever come across!

You Also believe Jesus came to commit suicide for you...lolzzzz
Holy suicide right grin

Jesus... Mohammed.... They were all sent by same God...
Their teachings were corrupted by man that's why you have the confusion you see now
You are mixing things up. That people bear Christian names or even attend church do not really make them a Christian. It may may be true that some are Christians today because they were born into Christian homes, but it's not as automatic as you thought or presented it.

As a matter of fact many who were born into Christian homes may still end up in hell if they do not accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. That's why salvation is personal; it's not a generational of family inheritance!

At the age of accountability, everyone has got to confess Jesus as their savior before they can be saved regardless of the religion they were born into.

Salvation is not automatic; it's a personal decision that everyone has to make consciously. That's why everyone will be judged. It's your choice! This makes God to be fair to everyone.

However, I agree that my christian brothers can do better with morning cry. In the olden days, almost everyone woke up around the same time, but the case is not the same now. Besides, some people have health issues and they need to rest. We must devise other means, or better still, ask God on alternative to morning cry.

So nice to share the update.
A few questions: there seem not to be any document verification? How did that happened? Also, which category of people are exempted from paying visa fees. Lastly, didn't your city contact you during the process to submit some documents? At which date did that happen

Overall, I think the process was quite fast for you and send my big congratulations. May she excell in Deutschland.
The process took 19 months! Do you mean this is fast huh
To your questions:
1. Yes, no document verification
2. Those exempted from visa fees: for now, I'm aware of students/researchers sponsored from public funds and who are staying in Germany for a minimum of 3 months. For more details, check: https://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/aufenthv/__52.html. You may need a browser that can translate into English.
3. I wasn't contacted to submit any documents except as stated above (June 18). We just submitted all the required documents, including house contact.

Nov 16, 2022-Booking of appointment

Aug 16, 2023 - A plea for intervention in getting an appointment

Aug 16, 2023 - Embassy's response:

Dear Applicant.
We are sorry but the waiting time for an appointment in your category is over one and a halve year now. It is not possible at this moment to give a more precise prediction. The reasons are the number of registrations and the shortage of staff. I regret not being able to give you a better answer.

Sept 20, 2023 - Another plea for appointment due to health reasons (with doctor's report submitted).

Sept 21, 2023 - Embassy's response: Appointment still not possible; an approximate time was given, which should be in April 2024!

Oct 2023 -Jan 2024 - Two emails sent requesting for special consideration for an appointment, but these were turned down!

Silence

April 15 - An email sent reminding the embassy about Sept 21 email that we should expect an appointment in April. By this time, the estimated time had passed!

April 16, 2024 - Notification for an appointment

May 13, 2024 - Appointment day. Required documents were submitted. The original marriage certificate was however not taken along! This was later couriered to the embassy the next day.

May 17, 2024 - An email sent to the embassy explaining (with evidence) that my wife was not supposed to be charged visa fees.

June 7, 2024 - Request for special consideration on issuance of visa. This was necessary because there was an event I needed to attend with my wife by the end of June. Details of the event were sent.

June 7, 2024 - Embassy's response saying it was not possible to get the visa on time due to backlog of applications!

June 14, 2024 - A follow-up email to the one sent on June 7.

June 18, 2024 - Request from the embassy for the submission of passport and proof of health insurance, although proof of health insurance was already submitted on the appointment day.

June 19, 2024 - Requested documents couriered

June 25, 2024 - Notification of visa issuance and request to come over for refund of visa charges.

CelebritiesRe: On Pastor Tunde Bakare Opinion On Mohbad Passing (my Honest Response) by justt: 3:59pm On Sep 26, 2023
You mean that Pastor Bakare should have celebrated him? The pastor said nothing but the truth and you are sad because, possibly, you do not have the spirit of God in you and you do not belong to Jesus if at all you claim to be a Christian. So sad!

If you belong to Jesus, your sadness shouldn't have been about what pastor Bakare said, which is very correct, but on the fact that a believer, someone who was once in the Church later joined the devil and of course got served!

That I said he got served does not in anyway mean I'm rejoicing over him or I'm happy the way he died, God forbid. I can never rejoice over the dead of a sinner. When, for whatever reasons, you leave God to romance the devil, things like this cannot but happen. It's like someone putting his hands in fire and he gets burned. It's expected.

You said he showed his love for God in his secular songs, like seriously? He loves God and left the Church? Do you mean all it takes to please God or have his approval is praising him or giving something to him? No, God is not mocked and he cannot be bribed. If at all God should be bribed, it will be by living for him in holiness and righteousness, not by romancing with the devil! It's not what we give that God is interested in but who we are. So, if you as an individual is not acceptable or pleasing to God, whatever you do or give is not acceptable to him. In fact the bible says that the sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, Prov 15:8

I'm putting this here because of the younger ones, especially those who currently sing in the choir/Church but their eyes are on secular music. The devil has nothing to offer than dead. What relationship does light have with darkness? This was well captured by Paul in 2 Cor 6:14-17:

14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?

15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?

16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: [" I will dwell in them] [And walk among them.] [I will be their God,] [And they shall be My people."]

17 [ Therefore] [" Come out from among them] [And be separate, says the Lord.] [Do not touch what is unclean,] [And I will receive you."]

May God help us with the bunch of church-goers we have today who called themselves christians, but really they are nothing but mixed multitudes.

Matrix137:
Okay guys, so I went through this thread on frontpage today.

https://www.nairaland.com/7854170/mohbad-pastor-bakare-knocks-late

Honestly, i was very sad and worried about the Stinking Hypocrisy of the pastor. Kinda reminds me of Pharisees and Sadducees in Jesus time. How dare you? What makes you think you are more righteous than Mohbad? When Jesus said we should remove the log of wood in our eyes before removing the speck in someone else's eyes, you thought it was a joke?

Who the hell are you to judge? From the little I've heard about the life of Mohbad, honestly I find him more worthy of salvation than you, because he honestly loved God Soo much regardless of the fact that he was a "secular" musician? Oh you think because he "smoked or drank" that you are better than him, or more deserving of God's love than him? And I ask again, who the hell are you? and who even made you a pastor in the first place? You are nothing but a pulpit bandit with no reputation. What do you think made Mohbad leave marlian records?

Also, what's this Nonsense about his stage name "Mohbad" ? You think that's a justification? Or you just don't understand the real meaning? What about Imole (Light)?

What about his countless "secular" songs praising God? I listened to his song "Father Abraham" on his "Light" EP. And i was moved to tears by his deep Love of God and Jesus Christ.

So Mr Pulpit Bandit, save your sermon and continue your scamming ministry. But always remember that the day of reckoning is near.

And also Mohbad is a saint compared to you. So allow him rest in Peace and NEVER in your life mention him in such a condescending way again. Mr Righteous. Clown

Actually, I don't want to be replying your quotes anymore because it's obvious you are more interested in argument than knowledge.

With your know-it-all attitude, it's surprising that you don't even know the difference between judging someone and having an opinion.

To judge someone is to pass a sentence on them. It's like to condemn them. Let me make it simpler for you, it's concluding their fate. Like saying there's no hope for someone or an individual cannot make heaven for instance.

Now point to me the aspect of my comment that could be termed as 'judging'?

Sinners are welcome by God, but having come to God they are no longer expected to make sinning a lifestyle.

I know your problem and perhaps those supporting her is that you see nothing wrong in her dressing. If so, could it be that you don't even have His spirit, I mean the Holy Spirit within you because as many as are led by the spirit of God are children of God. It will be great to know if dressing to seduce or to appear 'sexy' is a leading from the Holy Spirit.

Anyway, I don't know your your type of Christianity because there seems to be many versions now. One thing I'm sure of is that the type of Christianity that makes you comfortable in sin is not the one Jesus died for.

Paul says, 'shall we continue in sin that grace may abound and he said certainly not, Rom 6:1.

Do you have that in your Bible?

You are free to believe whatever you wish to believe but stop misleading people.

I will no longer respond to you. Make your own comment but stop quoting me!

Kobojunkie:
1. I believe what you are trying to describe is religious bigotry and not born-agains since to be born-again one is required to submit and obey only the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ. It is disobedience of Jesus Christ that constitutes sin for one who is born-again..

Now, Jesus Christ is the one that said, "Judge not by outward appearance but judge righteous judgment. So, one who is born-again commits sin in that case when he/she goes around
□ judging others by their outward appearances
□ and judging according to standards other than that set by Jesus Christ Himself in His Law --- His teachings and commandments.

2. Christianity is in fact a religion that pretends to be a relationship with Jesus Christ whom many of its adherents do not even know let alone in fact follow. It was made an official religion in Nicea where many of its foundational doctrines, all of them removed from Jesus Christ, were chosen.

3. the lives of Christians are no better though than the lives of those outside since Christians claim by mouth to believe in Jesus Christ yet their every words are of those who know nothing of Jesus Christ. You can see this in the fact that nothing of what they do causes them to stand apart like Jesus Christ and His disciples did because they are just another bunch of religious group. undecided

4. Born-agains are those called to live according to the Law of Jesus Christ, Churchianism is religion by the doctrines and traditions of men. undecided

5. Please take your own advice there. Seek God for yourself and after you have in fact found Him, then come back and speak on this issue as one who in fact knows Him. undecided
Christianity EtcRe: What Is A Pastor Looking For In Hilda Baci's Room? by justt:
Two things are obviously in your post:

1. You know some scriptures though lacking the understanding,

2. You are not yet born again.

Every born again Christian has perfect hatred for sin. Are you saying Paul had to sin to minister to sinner?

Do you mean you can call yourself a Christian and still be living (including dressing) as a sinner?

What's your understanding of being born again, does it include submitting to lordship of Jesus? I mean does your being born again include you pleasing Jesus in every aspect of your life, including dressing or do you mean Jesus will approve of a dress like that?

Do you know that Christianity is not a religion; it's a way of life or a lifestyle.

Those who are outside (unbelievers), we know they are outside and we are praying for them. But do you mean those who claimed to be born again should be pampered in their sins? For what, so that they will backslide?

What's is the purpose of being born again and attending a church if you still want to live like a sinner?!

I will sincerely advise you to go back to God and ask for salvation experience.

Merry100:
Christianity has now spread all over the world and even unbelievers know that we have morally standard laws guiding the Church, so if we can decide to keep our sinful brethrens in the Church and continue to preach to them as long as they are not disturbing the peaceful co-existence of the Church or polluting others by backing up their sins with wrong sayings and teachings, hopefully they will repent before Jesus Christ comes back to separate the goat from the sheep. If you go through your Bible properly you will realize that sinners were permitted in the Church.
Did you actually mean this? The Church is now meant for keeping sinners, like seriously?

Please go back to God and ask him to save your soul.
Your understanding of salvation and the church of God is totally messed up. You are not qualified to talk on this matter.

'Dressing Sexy' Is A Sin That Would Take You Straight To Hell!

Speaking of which, one who recently made the headlines after her attempt to break a world record, was later seen testifying in a church service about how she was inspired by her pastor's message about having an all-round grace, which inspired her to pray for such grace towards achieving her goal.

Now, this is the same person who deliberately attempts to seduce and make others lust after her body via her dressing, but instead of accepting correction from those who really cared about her, is yet trying to justify herself, saying that it's possible to "look sexy and still be a game-changer" to prove it was deliberate.
God bless you!

Actually, I wept bitterly in my heart when I saw her testifying in the Church. I wept not because I hate her but because the place that's supposed to bring healing and deliverance is being turned to sin and bondage spreading center!

Imagine the number of innocent albeit naive young ladies who will be emboldened to dress indecently. Why? Their role model, a potential prostitute, was celebrated and even given a platform in Church to testify!

She was even taking about grace. Does she know what the Bible says about grace?

Titus 2:11&12:
11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,

12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.

Was it the same grace of God that taught her to dress indecently? I'm not claiming to be perfect but the last thing I expect from any serious Christian is to justify sin or be comfortable with it!

I just wonder why many go to Church but the Church is not in them. Why they think they can be friends of God and of the world at the same time even when the Bible is very clear on this - friendship with the world is an enemity with God (Jam 4:4).

What is the Church of God really turning into?

Lord Jesus, please come before you loose everyone!

In 2011/2012 after i had given my life to christ. A young man in my church asked me if i had recieved the infilling of the holyspirit, i said no. He promised to pray for me.

A certain day, i think on a saturday, after church service, he laid hands on me in the name of Jesus and prayed in tongues.

The next thing that happened is that i got up from the hard floor of the church. I didn't feel any pain nor did i remember falling. I didn't speak in tongues either. But i had a lot of faith and was happy and believed i had been filled with the holyspirit.

I understand that you are aquinted with the spirit once you're born again, but there is an infilling or baptism of the spirit different from the born again experience.(Acts8:15-17)

So, did i recieve the infilling of the spirit at that time? Is it possible to be filled/baptised with the holyspirit without recieving any of his gifts like speaking in tongues?
As a believer you have the Holy Spirit already but from your narration, you are not baptised in the Holy Spirit. It's impossible to be baptised in the Holy Spirit and speak in tongue. Even if the tongue will not continue, the moment you receive him or he comes upon you, you will speak forth.

Ask him to fill you.

I think it depends on the following among others:
1: How modern the apartment is especially in terms of amenities.
2: The location within the city also matters. If it’s quite inward, rent is usually cheaper.

Your overall goal should influence where/what you eventually settle for. You could stay away from the major parts of the city, get a decent apartment and still be able to commute to school in good time.
As you search, please beware of scammers even on “verified”/“reputable” sites and please as always, if it’s too good to be true, it definitely is. Before making any payment, it’s always better to see the apartment in person, that way, you can put things in perspective.

Of course I know there are other more expensive single rooms but It should be possible to get a room around EUR 600 or less with no additional charges for 2 occupants.

I'm already in Germany but currently in Hamburg for German Language training. Anyone with useful/relevant information in this regard should kindly get across to me through my email address - tellmemhore@gmail.com.

This is budget friendly, to be honest
Wow, that's serious.
I'm aware there are more expensive accomodations but I was thinking it should be possible to rent an apartment/room within 25% of stipend. This is almost like one third (33.33%) of my stipend already!

Is Germany giving with one hand and using another hand to get it back?

Thank you for your response.

Hello, is there anyone living in Hanover who could give an idea on the cost of accomodation for two - my wife and I?

I requested for accommodation reservation from the university of Hanover and I was given the attached but I think it's a bit on the high side. Besides, I don't know how much the VAT will be.

I was thinking i could get an accomodation for the two of us within Eur 600.

Please, I will appreciate your comments on how to get budget-friendly accommodation cool

Yes it’s applicable to married people. It’s basically an affidavit which will be done by either your mum or dad (if they are both late then an older person in your family) stating that before you got married on (date of your marriage) you were not married to any1 before. The person swearing the affidavit will also attach their passport picture to the document
Alright, thank you

Hello, please I need clarification on one of the checklist for family reunion as highlighted below:

Marriage certificates and divorce decrees of any previous marriages of the spouse

Affidavit* from a parent or the head of the family on the applicant's marital status (“Declaration of Spinsterhood/Bachelorhood”).

Is the b part applicable to married people? I'm wondering how someone who is married can still be declaring spinsterhood/bachelorhood 🤔

sad Even though I'm a born again Christian, I think I must give kudos to our Muslim brothers and sisters for living by the tenets of islam. No Islamic ruling nor nation will give a nod to this madness and we wonder why they are more morally up right than we Christians? Weird acts and cultures are common amongst Christian nations yet we think we are more righteous. Sometimes I regret being a Christian sad
You are correct in your observation about Muslims. However, you need to know that Christianity is a personal relationship with Christ. Saying Christianity is your religion, bearing a Christian name of even going to church doesn't make anyone a Christian. So, you don't have to regret being a Christian.

Jesus himself said he will say to many on the last day that he never knew them.

Thank you for your input @ Ahmed4002 & Chidi4eze. I guess the best option is for her to get her certificate.
