Hello all,
Has any November applicant been called? We are in the middle of the month already.

Merry Christmas to everyone

Please how did you get this information about the waiting period before 18 months?

I applied for a family reunion visa in November 2022, and I am hoping they call us very soon.

The information was from the embassy. I got similar email like the one posted by blackforester. Interesting, my wife also applied in November.

Damn!!

That means their spouses needs to have A1 certificate and undergo verification like the others?

Thanks 🙏🏿

Regarding A1 certificate and verification, there has been mixed reports, going by what I have read here so far. Although most people have been exempted; for some, verification fees was turned down during the application only to be requested for later on!

Hello all,
Please is there any Daad scholar here who's wife recently moved to Germany via family reunion, please what's the timeline of family reunion for Daad/Humboldt scholars?

I don't think there's any special consideration for partners of DAAD/Humboldt fellows anymore. The waiting time is now 18 months.

You just confirmed my speculation that you don't have the spirit of God and so don't belong to Jesus, if indeed you can't find sense in it. The Bible says the gospel of Christ is foolishness to those who are perishing!

May you get rescued before it too late!

Matrix137:
All this multitude of words yet no sense. Is the pastor holy? No! Is he sinless ? No! Does he associate with bad company? Yes! Which includes our evil politicians! Even Jesus said that harlots will go to heaven before all this self righteous clowns. Also, just because you don't get to see all he does secretly ( Only God knows) doesn't mean he doesn't have a skeleton in his closet!
Sinners judging sinners for sinning differently lol
Try to be more logical next time. Thanks.
Celebrities / Re: On Pastor Tunde Bakare Opinion On Mohbad Passing (my Honest Response) by justt: 3:59pm On Sep 26, 2023
You mean that Pastor Bakare should have celebrated him? The pastor said nothing but the truth and you are sad because, possibly, you do not have the spirit of God in you and you do not belong to Jesus if at all you claim to be a Christian. So sad!

If you belong to Jesus, your sadness shouldn't have been about what pastor Bakare said, which is very correct, but on the fact that a believer, someone who was once in the Church later joined the devil and of course got served!

That I said he got served does not in anyway mean I'm rejoicing over him or I'm happy the way he died, God forbid. I can never rejoice over the dead of a sinner. When, for whatever reasons, you leave God to romance the devil, things like this cannot but happen. It's like someone putting his hands in fire and he gets burned. It's expected.

You said he showed his love for God in his secular songs, like seriously? He loves God and left the Church? Do you mean all it takes to please God or have his approval is praising him or giving something to him? No, God is not mocked and he cannot be bribed. If at all God should be bribed, it will be by living for him in holiness and righteousness, not by romancing with the devil! It's not what we give that God is interested in but who we are. So, if you as an individual is not acceptable or pleasing to God, whatever you do or give is not acceptable to him. In fact the bible says that the sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, Prov 15:8

I'm putting this here because of the younger ones, especially those who currently sing in the choir/Church but their eyes are on secular music. The devil has nothing to offer than dead. What relationship does light have with darkness? This was well captured by Paul in 2 Cor 6:14-17:

14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?

15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?

16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: [" I will dwell in them] [And walk among them.] [I will be their God,] [And they shall be My people."]

17 [ Therefore] [" Come out from among them] [And be separate, says the Lord.] [Do not touch what is unclean,] [And I will receive you."]

May God help us with the bunch of church-goers we have today who called themselves christians, but really they are nothing but mixed multitudes.

Matrix137:
Okay guys, so I went through this thread on frontpage today.

https://www.nairaland.com/7854170/mohbad-pastor-bakare-knocks-late

Honestly, i was very sad and worried about the Stinking Hypocrisy of the pastor. Kinda reminds me of Pharisees and Sadducees in Jesus time. How dare you? What makes you think you are more righteous than Mohbad? When Jesus said we should remove the log of wood in our eyes before removing the speck in someone else's eyes, you thought it was a joke?

Who the hell are you to judge? From the little I've heard about the life of Mohbad, honestly I find him more worthy of salvation than you, because he honestly loved God Soo much regardless of the fact that he was a "secular" musician? Oh you think because he "smoked or drank" that you are better than him, or more deserving of God's love than him? And I ask again, who the hell are you? and who even made you a pastor in the first place? You are nothing but a pulpit bandit with no reputation. What do you think made Mohbad leave marlian records?

Also, what's this Nonsense about his stage name "Mohbad" ? You think that's a justification? Or you just don't understand the real meaning? What about Imole (Light)?

What about his countless "secular" songs praising God? I listened to his song "Father Abraham" on his "Light" EP. And i was moved to tears by his deep Love of God and Jesus Christ.

So Mr Pulpit Bandit, save your sermon and continue your scamming ministry. But always remember that the day of reckoning is near.

And also Mohbad is a saint compared to you. So allow him rest in Peace and NEVER in your life mention him in such a condescending way again. Mr Righteous. Clown

Thank you for your responses @bamsz and Mopricelezz

We already booked an appointment. We are only trying to get the needed documents ready for her visa application. Yes, she has not been given an appointment date but we are hopeful she will get one soon but since I don't have the RP yet, and possibly may not get it before her appointment date, I thought my visa would suffice for now.

bamsz:

The first step is to book appointment online, it now takes approximately 14months to get a date, you don't need any document to book the appointment, just your wife's passport number, date of birth and email address. You can as well try your luck by sending emails to the embassy, at least book an appointment date first!

Hello, we are planning to contact the Embassy for appointment for my wife to submit her visa application. Please is it possible I use my visa in place of Residence Permit? I'm yet to get my Residence Permit, in fact, I have not been given an appointment. In order to save time, I was thinking we could use my visa since it is also a form of residence permit although for temporary period.

Is this possible?

Thank you.

Actually, I don't want to be replying your quotes anymore because it's obvious you are more interested in argument than knowledge.

With your know-it-all attitude, it's surprising that you don't even know the difference between judging someone and having an opinion.

To judge someone is to pass a sentence on them. It's like to condemn them. Let me make it simpler for you, it's concluding their fate. Like saying there's no hope for someone or an individual cannot make heaven for instance.

Now point to me the aspect of my comment that could be termed as 'judging'?

Sinners are welcome by God, but having come to God they are no longer expected to make sinning a lifestyle.

I know your problem and perhaps those supporting her is that you see nothing wrong in her dressing. If so, could it be that you don't even have His spirit, I mean the Holy Spirit within you because as many as are led by the spirit of God are children of God. It will be great to know if dressing to seduce or to appear 'sexy' is a leading from the Holy Spirit.

Anyway, I don't know your your type of Christianity because there seems to be many versions now. One thing I'm sure of is that the type of Christianity that makes you comfortable in sin is not the one Jesus died for.

Paul says, 'shall we continue in sin that grace may abound and he said certainly not, Rom 6:1.

Do you have that in your Bible?

You are free to believe whatever you wish to believe but stop misleading people.

I will no longer respond to you. Make your own comment but stop quoting me!

Kobojunkie:
1. I believe what you are trying to describe is religious bigotry and not born-agains since to be born-again one is required to submit and obey only the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ. It is disobedience of Jesus Christ that constitutes sin for one who is born-again..

Now, Jesus Christ is the one that said, "Judge not by outward appearance but judge righteous judgment. So, one who is born-again commits sin in that case when he/she goes around
â–ˇ judging others by their outward appearances
â–ˇ and judging according to standards other than that set by Jesus Christ Himself in His Law --- His teachings and commandments.

2. Christianity is in fact a religion that pretends to be a relationship with Jesus Christ whom many of its adherents do not even know let alone in fact follow. It was made an official religion in Nicea where many of its foundational doctrines, all of them removed from Jesus Christ, were chosen.

3. the lives of Christians are no better though than the lives of those outside since Christians claim by mouth to believe in Jesus Christ yet their every words are of those who know nothing of Jesus Christ. You can see this in the fact that nothing of what they do causes them to stand apart like Jesus Christ and His disciples did because they are just another bunch of religious group. undecided

4. Born-agains are those called to live according to the Law of Jesus Christ, Churchianism is religion by the doctrines and traditions of men. undecided

5. Please take your own advice there. Seek God for yourself and after you have in fact found Him, then come back and speak on this issue as one who in fact knows Him. undecided
Religion / Re: What Is A Pastor Looking For In Hilda Baci's Room? by justt: 7:23pm On Jun 01, 2023
Two things are obviously in your post:

1. You know some scriptures though lacking the understanding,

2. You are not yet born again.

Every born again Christian has perfect hatred for sin. Are you saying Paul had to sin to minister to sinner?

Do you mean you can call yourself a Christian and still be living (including dressing) as a sinner?

What's your understanding of being born again, does it include submitting to lordship of Jesus? I mean does your being born again include you pleasing Jesus in every aspect of your life, including dressing or do you mean Jesus will approve of a dress like that?

Do you know that Christianity is not a religion; it's a way of life or a lifestyle.

Those who are outside (unbelievers), we know they are outside and we are praying for them. But do you mean those who claimed to be born again should be pampered in their sins? For what, so that they will backslide?

What's is the purpose of being born again and attending a church if you still want to live like a sinner?!

I will sincerely advise you to go back to God and ask for salvation experience.

Merry100:

Christianity has now spread all over the world and even unbelievers know that we have morally standard laws guiding the Church, so if we can decide to keep our sinful brethrens in the Church and continue to preach to them as long as they are not disturbing the peaceful co-existence of the Church or polluting others by backing up their sins with wrong sayings and teachings, hopefully they will repent before Jesus Christ comes back to separate the goat from the sheep. If you go through your Bible properly you will realize that sinners were permitted in the Church.

Did you actually mean this? The Church is now meant for keeping sinners, like seriously?

Please go back to God and ask him to save your soul.
Your understanding of salvation and the church of God is totally messed up. You are not qualified to talk on this matter.

'Dressing Sexy' Is A Sin That Would Take You Straight To Hell!

Speaking of which, one who recently made the headlines after her attempt to break a world record, was later seen testifying in a church service about how she was inspired by her pastor's message about having an all-round grace, which inspired her to pray for such grace towards achieving her goal.

Now, this is the same person who deliberately attempts to seduce and make others lust after her body via her dressing, but instead of accepting correction from those who really cared about her, is yet trying to justify herself, saying that it's possible to "look sexy and still be a game-changer" to prove it was deliberate.

God bless you!

Actually, I wept bitterly in my heart when I saw her testifying in the Church. I wept not because I hate her but because the place that's supposed to bring healing and deliverance is being turned to sin and bondage spreading center!

Imagine the number of innocent albeit naive young ladies who will be emboldened to dress indecently. Why? Their role model, a potential prostitute, was celebrated and even given a platform in Church to testify!

She was even taking about grace. Does she know what the Bible says about grace?

Titus 2:11&12:
11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,

12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.

Was it the same grace of God that taught her to dress indecently? I'm not claiming to be perfect but the last thing I expect from any serious Christian is to justify sin or be comfortable with it!

I just wonder why many go to Church but the Church is not in them. Why they think they can be friends of God and of the world at the same time even when the Bible is very clear on this - friendship with the world is an enemity with God (Jam 4:4).

What is the Church of God really turning into?

Lord Jesus, please come before you loose everyone!

May other Muslims also come to knowledge and the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If Quran affirms all you stated above, one would wonder why Muslims cannot see and accept Jesus at the Savior and the only way to God. Anyway, Jesus himself said no one can come to him except his Father draws them.

Please i do not welcome comments from atheist on this thread. Thanks

In 2011/2012 after i had given my life to christ. A young man in my church asked me if i had recieved the infilling of the holyspirit, i said no. He promised to pray for me.

A certain day, i think on a saturday, after church service, he laid hands on me in the name of Jesus and prayed in tongues.

The next thing that happened is that i got up from the hard floor of the church. I didn't feel any pain nor did i remember falling. I didn't speak in tongues either. But i had a lot of faith and was happy and believed i had been filled with the holyspirit.

I understand that you are aquinted with the spirit once you're born again, but there is an infilling or baptism of the spirit different from the born again experience.(Acts8:15-17)

So, did i recieve the infilling of the spirit at that time? Is it possible to be filled/baptised with the holyspirit without recieving any of his gifts like speaking in tongues?

As a believer you have the Holy Spirit already but from your narration, you are not baptised in the Holy Spirit. It's impossible to be baptised in the Holy Spirit and speak in tongue. Even if the tongue will not continue, the moment you receive him or he comes upon you, you will speak forth.

Ask him to fill you.

I think it depends on the following among others:
1: How modern the apartment is especially in terms of amenities.
2: The location within the city also matters. If it’s quite inward, rent is usually cheaper.

Your overall goal should influence where/what you eventually settle for. You could stay away from the major parts of the city, get a decent apartment and still be able to commute to school in good time.
As you search, please beware of scammers even on “verified”/“reputable” sites and please as always, if it’s too good to be true, it definitely is. Before making any payment, it’s always better to see the apartment in person, that way, you can put things in perspective.

Alright, thank you

Yes, I guess the rent is a bit on the high side. I have seen rent as low as EUR 250 for one occupant so are they saying it is better to rent two separate rooms? Of course I know there are other more expensive single rooms but It should be possible to get a room around EUR 600 or less with no additional charges for 2 occupants.

I'm already in Germany but currently in Hamburg for German Language training. Anyone with useful/relevant information in this regard should kindly get across to me through my email address - tellmemhore@gmail.com.

Yes it’s applicable to married people. It’s basically an affidavit which will be done by either your mum or dad (if they are both late then an older person in your family) stating that before you got married on (date of your marriage) you were not married to any1 before. The person swearing the affidavit will also attach their passport picture to the document

Marriage certificates and divorce decrees of any previous marriages of the spouse

Affidavit* from a parent or the head of the family on the applicant's marital status (“Declaration of Spinsterhood/Bachelorhood”).

Is the b part applicable to married people? I'm wondering how someone who is married can still be declaring spinsterhood/bachelorhood 🤔

You are correct in your observation about Muslims. However, you need to know that Christianity is a personal relationship with Christ. Saying Christianity is your religion, bearing a Christian name of even going to church doesn't make anyone a Christian. So, you don't have to regret being a Christian.

Hello All,
Thought to share my update here as I’ve benefited from others here as well.
7/7/2022: My spouse(Blue Card)and I(Family Reunion) applied for an appointment/interview together. My Husband got a date immediately while I didn’t.
28/9/2022: My spouse arrived Germany on a blue card visa.
24/10/2022: My spouse wrote the German embassy in Nigeria on my behalf to appeal the 14 month waiting period for an appointment on health concerns. We waited this long so my spouse could attach exit and entry visa stamps in the email just so they know we’re no longer together in Nigeria.
25/10/2022: Embassy responded to the email saying the “embassy no longer grants priority appointments to spouses and children of researchers, blue card holders, scholars, students e.t.c
We were sad to say the least but decided to try again at a later time.
15/11/2022: My spouse reached out to the embassy again on my behalf on health grounds and they responded almost immediately with the same response as before. We were determined to try again, still.
16/11/2022: To my utter amazement, I got an appointment email from the embassy. This was after they rejected our previous appeal barely 24 hours earlier. They even gave me a date less than 2 weeks from when they responded.
29/11/2022: Went for my family reunion interview at the embassy. No hassles. Went with all my documents except 1 as my spouse was yet to get a blue card in Germany. The interviewer said my visa may take a while as I didn’t have my spouse’s blue card at the time but requested I send it once we get it.
16/12/2022: Sent my spouse’s Fiktionsbescheinigung to the embassy.
The rest of December: Waited with bated breath with no response from the embassy. Called their lines in Lagos to no avail. Was only told to wait.
18/01/2023: Got a mail from the embassy requesting my travel date.
19/01/2023: Submitted my travel documents to the embassy.
25/01/2023: Received my stamped passport.
8/02/2023: Arrived Germany.
In all, i was only separated from my spouse for 4 months as against the standard long waiting period.
Thanks to everyone who responded to my enquiries here. It’s a journey that requires a lot of patience indeed.

Congratulations, this is really encouraging and your persistence is challenging!

Hopefully, my spouse will not have to wait for more than 4 months, too🙏

If you're staying for that long, it's better you get a one-way ticket. There is really no point in booking a return, unless you're sure you'd be returning at some time for vacation, for example.

Also, if you're arriving in Nurnberg, I'd advise you to check Turkish Airlines for a cheaper ticket, especially with the student discount. If you're arriving in Frankfurt or Munich, I'd recommend Ethiopian for a cheaper ticket. Qatar seems cheap too.

Thank you.
The cheapest I have found was with Turkish Airlines but the problem is that I have to pay with dollar card, which I don't have.

I have asked my fellowship body to book it for me.

Do you know when you are coming back?

You have a long stay visa, >6 months.
But what is the range for your purpose of travel? 6 months? 1 year ?
It will be safe if you are not certain otherwise, purchase a return ticket and insure it with about 15 euros for flexibility of travel date.

I plan to return in June 2025.
Most return tickets are within 12 months. Do you think with the insurance I will be able to extend it till then?
