Righteousness2:Which side so you really belong to, Righteousness? As much as many including myself, have appreciated your posts here, I must confess some of your posts, including the quoted one is not a post expected from an individual of your spiritual pedigree, at least, from the way you have presented yourself as a servant of Christ. No believers in Christ should rejoice when sinners go to hell. Jesus who is our saviour and role model said, 'father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing'. The Bible also says God is not interested in the dead of sinners. Am I saying Israel should look on while they are being attacked? No. However, I'm saying your attitude and responses, which show you are happy is not a feature or nature of Jesus you claim to represent! Are you saying you will happy if Israel or any country for that matter bomb Iran or if all Muslims get killed? Do you know God also loves Iranians and all Muslims and wants them saved? Please ask yourself if Jesus would have taken your stand of rejoicing at the destruction of Muslims as you are doing. Don't get be-clouded by religion. Rather, let love, the agape love, which Jesus exemplify fill your heart. Celebrating the death of sinners is not the spirit of Christ as that is tantamount to rejoicing that the payment Christ made for them is wasted! Possibly, you haven't seen your attitude in this way. |
Basicend:This is apparently word of wisdom. God bless you sir/ma. A lot of promising believers who would have been a great blessing to the body of Christ have missed this. They have gone ahead to early to establish their own ministry just because they have some spiritual gifts! Spiritual gifts in itself are not enough. There is place of humility and obedience to the will and God. |
Hmm. This is not correct. In as much as I believe in restitution and correcting one's errors as much as possible, the Bible doesn't say anywhere that those who married more than one wive should divorce them. Yes, in the new testament, the Bible doesn't encourage polygamy, but it also never says that polygamy is a sin. It's better to stay within the limit of the word of God. The limit the Bible places on those who engage in polygamy is that they cannot occupy leadership positions (1 Tim 3:1-5, Tit 1:6). The reason for this should be obvious. A leader should be a good example - a role model, particular in properly ruling his home. Unfortunately, it is difficult, if not impossible to have a well-managed polygamous family. If it is sinful to have more than one wife, apparently, Paul wouldn't have listed having one one wife at part of the criteria for selecting a leader. So, by saying a leader should be someone with one wife already indicated that there were people in the church with more than one wife. While polygamy in itself, just like alcohol, is not a sin, the possibility that it will lead to sin is quite high. I guess in an attempt to prevent believers from falling into sin, which the polygamy and alcohol provides more avenue for, church leaders just concluded that these habits are sinful. While the intention is noble and well-intended, it's still not biblical. No responsible and serious Christian would go into polygamy, but for those, for whatever reasons, who found themselves in the state, especially before meeting Christ, they should not be made to commit further errors by sending their wives away. If they send those women away, who will marry them? What about the children? How would they feel about a God who claims to be love, yet couldn't accept their mum? I believe the words of Paul in 1 Cor 7:20 that everyone should remain in the same calling in which he was called is also very relevant here. The question that should be asked is that is this man already saved even with his wives or is sending his wives away that grants him salvation? Righteousness2: |
IAmHim1:You are mixing things up. That people bear Christian names or even attend church do not really make them a Christian. It may may be true that some are Christians today because they were born into Christian homes, but it's not as automatic as you thought or presented it. As a matter of fact many who were born into Christian homes may still end up in hell if they do not accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. That's why salvation is personal; it's not a generational of family inheritance! At the age of accountability, everyone has got to confess Jesus as their savior before they can be saved regardless of the religion they were born into. Salvation is not automatic; it's a personal decision that everyone has to make consciously. That's why everyone will be judged. It's your choice! This makes God to be fair to everyone. However, I agree that my christian brothers can do better with morning cry. In the olden days, almost everyone woke up around the same time, but the case is not the same now. Besides, some people have health issues and they need to rest. We must devise other means, or better still, ask God on alternative to morning cry. |

Hello all, Has any November applicant been called? We are in the middle of the month already. |
nwigwemark:The information was from the embassy. I got similar email like the one posted by blackforester. Interesting, my wife also applied in November. |
kingsoncj:Regarding A1 certificate and verification, there has been mixed reports, going by what I have read here so far. Although most people have been exempted; for some, verification fees was turned down during the application only to be requested for later on! |
kingsoncj:I don't think there's any special consideration for partners of DAAD/Humboldt fellows anymore. The waiting time is now 18 months. |
You just confirmed my speculation that you don't have the spirit of God and so don't belong to Jesus, if indeed you can't find sense in it. The Bible says the gospel of Christ is foolishness to those who are perishing! May you get rescued before it too late! Matrix137: |
You mean that Pastor Bakare should have celebrated him? The pastor said nothing but the truth and you are sad because, possibly, you do not have the spirit of God in you and you do not belong to Jesus if at all you claim to be a Christian. So sad! If you belong to Jesus, your sadness shouldn't have been about what pastor Bakare said, which is very correct, but on the fact that a believer, someone who was once in the Church later joined the devil and of course got served! That I said he got served does not in anyway mean I'm rejoicing over him or I'm happy the way he died, God forbid. I can never rejoice over the dead of a sinner. When, for whatever reasons, you leave God to romance the devil, things like this cannot but happen. It's like someone putting his hands in fire and he gets burned. It's expected. You said he showed his love for God in his secular songs, like seriously? He loves God and left the Church? Do you mean all it takes to please God or have his approval is praising him or giving something to him? No, God is not mocked and he cannot be bribed. If at all God should be bribed, it will be by living for him in holiness and righteousness, not by romancing with the devil! It's not what we give that God is interested in but who we are. So, if you as an individual is not acceptable or pleasing to God, whatever you do or give is not acceptable to him. In fact the bible says that the sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, Prov 15:8 I'm putting this here because of the younger ones, especially those who currently sing in the choir/Church but their eyes are on secular music. The devil has nothing to offer than dead. What relationship does light have with darkness? This was well captured by Paul in 2 Cor 6:14-17: 14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: [" I will dwell in them] [And walk among them.] [I will be their God,] [And they shall be My people."] 17 [ Therefore] [" Come out from among them] [And be separate, says the Lord.] [Do not touch what is unclean,] [And I will receive you."] May God help us with the bunch of church-goers we have today who called themselves christians, but really they are nothing but mixed multitudes. Matrix137: |
Thank you for your responses @bamsz and Mopricelezz We already booked an appointment. We are only trying to get the needed documents ready for her visa application. Yes, she has not been given an appointment date but we are hopeful she will get one soon but since I don't have the RP yet, and possibly may not get it before her appointment date, I thought my visa would suffice for now. bamsz: |
Sorry, I just saw your post. No, I used Lagos Consulate. When I submitted my application, submission was based on catchment area and not just on having a scholarship. I just checked the site and it now possible for scholars sponsored from public fund to submit their applications in Abuja regardless of their state of residence. Beress: |
Hello, we are planning to contact the Embassy for appointment for my wife to submit her visa application. Please is it possible I use my visa in place of Residence Permit? I'm yet to get my Residence Permit, in fact, I have not been given an appointment. In order to save time, I was thinking we could use my visa since it is also a form of residence permit although for temporary period. Is this possible? Thank you. |
Actually, I don't want to be replying your quotes anymore because it's obvious you are more interested in argument than knowledge. With your know-it-all attitude, it's surprising that you don't even know the difference between judging someone and having an opinion. To judge someone is to pass a sentence on them. It's like to condemn them. Let me make it simpler for you, it's concluding their fate. Like saying there's no hope for someone or an individual cannot make heaven for instance. Now point to me the aspect of my comment that could be termed as 'judging'? Sinners are welcome by God, but having come to God they are no longer expected to make sinning a lifestyle. I know your problem and perhaps those supporting her is that you see nothing wrong in her dressing. If so, could it be that you don't even have His spirit, I mean the Holy Spirit within you because as many as are led by the spirit of God are children of God. It will be great to know if dressing to seduce or to appear 'sexy' is a leading from the Holy Spirit. Anyway, I don't know your your type of Christianity because there seems to be many versions now. One thing I'm sure of is that the type of Christianity that makes you comfortable in sin is not the one Jesus died for. Paul says, 'shall we continue in sin that grace may abound and he said certainly not, Rom 6:1. Do you have that in your Bible? You are free to believe whatever you wish to believe but stop misleading people. I will no longer respond to you. Make your own comment but stop quoting me! Kobojunkie: |
Two things are obviously in your post: 1. You know some scriptures though lacking the understanding, 2. You are not yet born again. Every born again Christian has perfect hatred for sin. Are you saying Paul had to sin to minister to sinner? Do you mean you can call yourself a Christian and still be living (including dressing) as a sinner? What's your understanding of being born again, does it include submitting to lordship of Jesus? I mean does your being born again include you pleasing Jesus in every aspect of your life, including dressing or do you mean Jesus will approve of a dress like that? Do you know that Christianity is not a religion; it's a way of life or a lifestyle. Those who are outside (unbelievers), we know they are outside and we are praying for them. But do you mean those who claimed to be born again should be pampered in their sins? For what, so that they will backslide? What's is the purpose of being born again and attending a church if you still want to live like a sinner?! I will sincerely advise you to go back to God and ask for salvation experience. Merry100:Did you actually mean this? The Church is now meant for keeping sinners, like seriously? Please go back to God and ask him to save your soul. Your understanding of salvation and the church of God is totally messed up. You are not qualified to talk on this matter. |
jesusjnr2020:God bless you! Actually, I wept bitterly in my heart when I saw her testifying in the Church. I wept not because I hate her but because the place that's supposed to bring healing and deliverance is being turned to sin and bondage spreading center! Imagine the number of innocent albeit naive young ladies who will be emboldened to dress indecently. Why? Their role model, a potential prostitute, was celebrated and even given a platform in Church to testify! She was even taking about grace. Does she know what the Bible says about grace? Titus 2:11&12: 11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age. Was it the same grace of God that taught her to dress indecently? I'm not claiming to be perfect but the last thing I expect from any serious Christian is to justify sin or be comfortable with it! I just wonder why many go to Church but the Church is not in them. Why they think they can be friends of God and of the world at the same time even when the Bible is very clear on this - friendship with the world is an enemity with God (Jam 4:4). What is the Church of God really turning into? Lord Jesus, please come before you loose everyone! |
May God keep you till the end. May other Muslims also come to knowledge and the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. If Quran affirms all you stated above, one would wonder why Muslims cannot see and accept Jesus at the Savior and the only way to God. Anyway, Jesus himself said no one can come to him except his Father draws them. |
Jackanda1:As a believer you have the Holy Spirit already but from your narration, you are not baptised in the Holy Spirit. It's impossible to be baptised in the Holy Spirit and speak in tongue. Even if the tongue will not continue, the moment you receive him or he comes upon you, you will speak forth. Ask him to fill you. |
Congratulations! I can imagine the frustrations and stress. Thanks be to God the waiting is finally over. Ahmed4002: |
Wunme:Alright, thank you |
[quote author=jamexonline post=122520726][/quote]Thank you. Yes, I guess the rent is a bit on the high side. I have seen rent as low as EUR 250 for one occupant so are they saying it is better to rent two separate rooms? Of course I know there are other more expensive single rooms but It should be possible to get a room around EUR 600 or less with no additional charges for 2 occupants. I'm already in Germany but currently in Hamburg for German Language training. Anyone with useful/relevant information in this regard should kindly get across to me through my email address - tellmemhore@gmail.com. |
isArray:Wow, that's serious. I'm aware there are more expensive accomodations but I was thinking it should be possible to rent an apartment/room within 25% of stipend. This is almost like one third (33.33%) of my stipend already! Is Germany giving with one hand and using another hand to get it back? Thank you for your response. |
Hello, is there anyone living in Hanover who could give an idea on the cost of accomodation for two - my wife and I? I requested for accommodation reservation from the university of Hanover and I was given the attached but I think it's a bit on the high side. Besides, I don't know how much the VAT will be. I was thinking i could get an accomodation for the two of us within Eur 600. Please, I will appreciate your comments on how to get budget-friendly accommodation ![]()

curious123:Alright, thank you |
Hello, please I need clarification on one of the checklist for family reunion as highlighted below: Marriage certificates and divorce decrees of any previous marriages of the spouse Affidavit* from a parent or the head of the family on the applicant's marital status (“Declaration of Spinsterhood/Bachelorhood”). Is the b part applicable to married people? I'm wondering how someone who is married can still be declaring spinsterhood/bachelorhood 🤔 |
GOTVee:You are correct in your observation about Muslims. However, you need to know that Christianity is a personal relationship with Christ. Saying Christianity is your religion, bearing a Christian name of even going to church doesn't make anyone a Christian. So, you don't have to regret being a Christian. Jesus himself said he will say to many on the last day that he never knew them. |
Thank you for your input @ Ahmed4002 & Chidi4eze. I guess the best option is for her to get her certificate. |

Even though I'm a born again Christian, I think I must give kudos to our Muslim brothers and sisters for living by the tenets of islam. No Islamic ruling nor nation will give a nod to this madness and we wonder why they are more morally up right than we Christians? Weird acts and cultures are common amongst Christian nations yet we think we are more righteous. Sometimes I regret being a Christian
