UnoDiscuss:Op, your post just betrays you as someone who knows Bible stories but doesn't know the message! Sin is sin no matter the premise. Rehab you mentioned lied because that was her way of life. she was a prostitute and lying wasn't an issue to her. Besides, she wasn't saved or rescued because she lied but because she obeyed the instruction given to her: bring all your family member into the same house AND tie the red rope (scarlet) in the window, see Jos 2:17&18 and of course, she asked for mercy Vs 12. That red rope is a symbol of the blood of Jesus, a covering, a sign/seal. It's still the same today. The blood of Jesus is the only means to salvation. No one is also saved today without asking God for mercy. Shalom |
LucifersTongue:Your moniker already revealed your personality/faith and if you don't repent your fate also. Jesus can still save you now before its too late. |
dmltoyin:But on a more serious note, I think I prefer the way these Egyptian ladies dressed. If only our Christian ladies will also shun nudity and unclothedness all in the name of sport, what a jewel they will be. |
olatunjithomas:But the picture shown in the write-up doesn't show your house is tiled. The story is somehow |
Aviero:But it's quite impossible to differentiate between the two in spoken English. |
parisbookaddict:The questions the Muslims must consider, if they think they are obeying the injunctions of their master to kill others who oppose them is that: what would have become the fate of this world if Christians or other religions have such laws? When you are mandated to kill those who oppose you. I just pray God will open their eyes before it's too late! |
Please how much do you think can finish a four bedroom flat in AKure (excluding the cost of the land)? I will appreciate it if you can include the breakdown of the estimates of various cost that will be incurred |
starlingslimnet:Well, I don't know you but I pray for you that you will not be guilty of other people's blood as a result of some of the erroneous statements you made. It is clear that you yourself don't know as much as you ought to know. I counsel you to get yourself established in the word before you make this weighty statement. You actually made some valid points but you also erred along the line, especially concerning tithe. God commands the payment of tithe and if you don't obey that injunction, don't present it as the norm to others. Shalom |
This is the case when a natural man tries to understand and expain the spiritual. Get the spirit of the word first; get salavtion and then you will understand the seemingly contradictory passages Shalom |
This thread is intended for sharing of experience between Japan past scholars and the present ones. Are you a past scholar of the Japanese Government scholarship (MEXT)? You are highly welcome. Please, the current/intending scholars will like to benefit from your wealth of experience ranging from what to expect from the exam/interview from the Japanese embassy to ways of life in Japan especially the language study. Your piece of advice may go a long way in helping somebody! Thanks in lieu of your anticipated advice/information |
He definitely needs prayers more so that he's wearing "Affliction"! Or what's that written on his vest? How can someone be going around with such a label and experience what's he's experiencing |
Please has any PG for Japan been called? |
Please do people who were born before the establishment of National Population Commission (NPC) and have not lost their birth certificates need to obtain another birth certificate from NPC? I'm to go for bilateral education agreement interview but noticed they stated that they will only recognise birth certificate from NPC! Does this mean my birth certificate issued by my local government is not recognised even here in Nigeria? |
Gombs:The things of God cannot be understood by many, unfortunately even by the so called children of God! While I don't pay first fruit every year, I don't joke with my tithe and God has been faithful. I believe God rewards our faith/Obedience. Bro I strongly support your view. All those who don't pay their tithes are seriously mistaken and will regret it if they do not repent on time. Pay your tithes. If your pastor chooses to misuse that, he will give account though I wonder what your grouse is with pastors being rich. Are pastors supposed to be poor? Tithes are commanded to be paid. First fruits are also expected to be paid. The fact still remains that any child of God who fails to pay his/her tithe to God will pay it to the devil one way or the other. |
Please I need information on UK visa application. I have an admission in Leeds for 2015 and will appreciate genuine information about visa processing including the cost, physical/health tests required and other requirements that may be needed. Thanks |
tpia1: its no big deal.I never asked for validation. Only looking for people's opinions. Yes, there's no big deal about it but one may still get one or two things from other people's contributions. |
mcdreeezy: If ur child's surname will be ur personal name, what then will be ur wife's surname? What will also be ur own surname? I thot a family is supposed to bear the same surname?Of course my surname will be different from my child's surname. My wife bears my surname which is my grand father's name. So both are different |
I often noticed the arbitrary selection of surname for a child especially in Yoruba land as am not too sure of other tribes. Someone may bear his/her direct biological father's name while another may use grandfather or great grandfather's name. Well they may all have their reasons. My surname is widely known and could easily grant my children favour in some places but I have decided they are going to bear my own personal name. Do you think this is being selfish or when will someone bear my name? |
SHAAWA: @Justt....NiceWell, while you may be correct that all these people you mentioned were messengers, you completely erred by including Jesus.Pls see Jn 10:18, Phi 2:5-11, Rev 5:1-14 Yes, Jesus may be messenger but not in the same category with the others you mentioned. The Bible says in Phi 2 that though HE WAS GOD...! I hope you read that? He chose to humble himself by coming as a man, lived as nobody and died such terrible death without avenging himself. He himself was and still is God and that's why he's totally different from the others you mentioned. On the issue of thanking him, that's no big issue. Heb13:15: By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. What would become an issue is if you have said we(Christians, though some, not all) pray to him. Praying to Jesus is not biblical! That may sound strange to some. Christians are to pray to God the father in Jesus' name. Like I said in my earlier comment, Jesus is our access to God, the only way for that matter. Without Jesus, no access to God. Jesus himself said that at last day he will handover everything to God the father. 1Co 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all Ref on praying through the name of Jesus(emphasis mine) Joh 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask IN MY NAME, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Joh 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing IN MY NAME, I will do it Joh 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the FATHER IN MY NAME, he may give it you. See also Jn 16:23,24&26 So everything is still to the Father Shalom |
Sheykul Islam: its sad people still believe this , where it clearly stated in the christian bible that salvation is not believing jesus to be lord and savior ( read isaiah 43 vs 10-12) but keeping commandments of God just as jesus was quoted to have said in matt 19 vs 16 - 17 and mark 12 vs 28- 32. And where in d bible did they tell u christians would go to heaven?I can see, at least from your username, that you are a Muslim and am not really surprised. The truth is that what you don't have you can't give! All you know is theory but if you wish to be informed or for the sake of others who may have read your post and confused, I think it worthwhile to put thing in the right perspective, Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him says the word of God, Prov 26:4 Now before I continue, let me make this submision that God is not someone anybody can FULLY explain. Our knowledge of him cannot be perfect until we see him. Having gone through the scriptures you quoted above, I can see you don't even know him at all. In the Godhead, which is also called Trinity, we have God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. This does not mean we have three different Gods. The analogy I can give, THOUGH NOT A PERFECT ONE, is that of the house. In a house, you have the building, the doors and the air(breeze) within it. You can hardly separate these things and you refer to them all as the building or house. You see, in an ideal situation you cannot enter a house without going through the door ( let's forget about the Windows and see everything as an entrance, besides this is just and analogy, not necessarily perfect) especially if the doors are locked. Having entered a house you cannot but breath in the air within. That is automatic! But when we talk about a house people don't normally think about all these but within their minds they see a whole/single structure. In the same vein, God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one entity but with different functions. While earthly house may have different doors, there's only one door/access to God the Father(Act 4:12) "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me", Jn 14:6. Jesus is the ONLY ACCESS to God (the Father) while the Holy Sprit is the Power of God. They are all together as one. Jn 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. I don't know where you read in the Christian Bible that salvation is not beleiving in the name of Jesus. Pls see: Act 4:10-12 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved Act 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and womenBelievest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. You may also read Mat 1:21, Jn 3:16-19 then verses 35&36, Phi 2:5-7 for more insight. Shalom |
The m7 spec says internal memory is 4gb But mine is only 1gb. Can anyone else using m7 confirm this? |
Salvation is not something that could be lost as easy as that! Nobody gets saved without consciously confessing Jesus as lord. In the same vein nobody can loose his salvation without consciously rejecting Jesus. I really believe there may be certain exceptions to this (Luk 12:47&48) but not this point you are raising here. If one should go with you, I can say there's hardly anything safe to be eaten except what you plant youself. And can you tell what has been done to the seed or whatever that's related to the growth of the plant? It's no longer newss that almost every food in the market has be polluted. I think your recommendation therefore should have been people should always pray on everything, not only food before they use them. Go to the market and buy whatever is sold there asking nothing for the earth is the Lord's and its fullness thereof. see 1Cor 10:25 Shalom |

RedBenson: Go and sit down jor! Ur type is the deadliest fornicator/adulterer. I bet u can even fin.ger a little child if left in ur care.Redbenson, what a man does not have or has never experienced, he cannot understand. Jesus saves and saves completely. It doesn't matter who you have been or even are presently, if you give your life to Jesus, you will become totally transformed! |
Godshand: you are complicating issues here. The thread is not to support or condemn fornication. Fornication remains what it is. The thread is abt staying faithful in relationships. Then you should have titled your post properly like: "Faithfulness in Sinning!" Bro, there's no faithfulness in this, at least in the way you ve titled the thread and the content in the sight of God who will eventually judge everything we do no matter the comments people have made so far! In addition, though I know this is a social site, I want to plead with you to rather CHOOSE TO BE FAITHFUL TO THE LOVER OF YOUR SOUL; your Creator and your God - Jesus Christ The wages of sin bro (though your intention was not to support or condemn the act) is still death! Please, don't take this personal but rather see it as God trying to reach out to you and my prayer for you is that God's hand, as your user name, be upon you and turn you around till you become faithful to your Maker. The marriage of Lamb is very much at the corner, go and get yourself ready. And what I say to you, I says to all. The Bride and the Spirit say come and let everyone who hears say come! Come, Lord Jesus, come |
