Thank you. SirKennie13: |
Has anyone travelled to South Africa recently? Did you have to undergo new covid-19 test on arrival and did you have to pay out of pocket or it was free? |
gregones:Yes, I was able to track the application till approval day through the tracking link: https://www.vfsvisaonline.com/Global-PassportTracking/ It seems the site is down! I tried the link just to confirm if it is working but nothing was displayed. |
Gattyrhymes:tellmemhore@gmail.com but note I'm not yet in SA |
pufframmy:I didn't get what you meant by 'sop' I submitted letter of accommodation reservation with my application not hotel. The University has an accommodation reserved for me. |
Qhan:Thank you Qhan |
justt:Please I need help with covid-19 testing centres! |
sirrotex:First |
Bossmanly:Yeah, I'm visiting University of Pretoria for a research work. The University also specifically told me NOT to apply for study/work visa but visitor's visa. |
Gbolah21:I used letter of accommodation reservation sent to me by University of Pretoria. |
Shortcut2life:13th Oct. Visitor's visa |
My visa was just approved! Who knows where covid-19 tests are done at reduced cost? |
The two words are obviously different if you consider their meanings. "King" is not a title for husband but a title signifying leadership (headship) while "queen" is a title for the wife of a king. In cases, where queens are the leaders, it will be inappropriate to refer to the husband as a king since he's not the leader. |
SirKennie13:I have sent you a mail. |
Geenosko:Thank you |
Are there any avenues for an accompanying spouse on visitor's visa to work in South Africa? What are the available jobs for people on such visa? The visiting visa is more than 6 months |
SirKennie13:Thank you for your response. Please send me an email through the posted address or drop yours. |
Please, is police clearance certificate compulsory for visitors' visa? |
Does anyone here have accommodation for rent in SA, around University of Pretoria? Kindly contact me through email: Thank you |
Righteousness89:How I wish I can like this comment a million times! Righteousness89, your works here are commendable! More power to your elbows! |
ebuk4real:Imagine that, just imagine it? The way these people talk about billion as if it's a small amount! 'Billion' has actually lost its value in Nigeria; we don't talk about thousands anymore. I guess the next level will be trillion! The question is what's value of properties/infrastructures in this university that they are spending this huge amount on just fencing?! The FG has 64 billion naira to spend on fence for just one university but doesn't have half of it to pay workers in the whole of Nigerian federal universities and would rather allow ASUU to embark on strikes! God, please have mercy on my dear country! |
chatinent:And do you think it's godly to write projects for others let alone selling already written ones? Well, I guess you may not know. Kindly desist from such. It's an academic fraud. Don't aid corruption in whatever guise. |
Islie:But Mrs Onasanya is the same person as Mrs Yemisi? Why is someone who was reported not to deny the allegations now denying them? |
Jaqenhghar:This is just like a father telling his children that he could not provide for their needs because he knows their mates that are getting money from Yahoo yahoo/prostitution! Of course, we all know some parents do that and I can see you are not different from such parents. So, the FG should reduce lecturers' salary because of the few bag eggs? What a way to reason! |
Sammy774:Mr Op, you seriously need to go back to school and pay special attention to proper punctuation. You should also learn to differentiate "is" from "his"! |
izzy4shizzy:Comments like this often make me conclude that there's no hope for Nigeria! If you people do not see anything wrong in FG importing this herbal extract, then I guess the future is really bleak. I assume most of you defending FG are mostly youths. If my assumption is right, I can equally assume you will do the same if you are in the position of Mr President. Please note that I'm not really against Madagascar extract. What I'm against and which most people who have approved FG decision have failed to realize is lack of trust in our "own". If Madagascar President had behaved like our president and never believed in their own product, would there be anything to order? It obvious the FG is not really as concerned about the cure as much as how much could be squandered and looted without traces. This is not a matter of ego but we just need to celebrate ourselves. We need to blow our own trumpets as nobody will do it for us. |
OpenYourEyes1:Your post is biased. Everything is on lockdown almost globally and not just churches. Remember the same Paul said those in authority should be obeyed. Your post would have had some merits if only Church are closed down. Nevertheless, the Church of today has actually lost it (not all though). |
Realdeals:Exactly! Even when schools are finally reopened, only private schools will be able to do most of these precautionary measures. As it were, no public (university, secondary or primary) school can comply with these. What a sorry state public schools are. |
Pastorayojide:God bless you sir. I'm so excited to hear this! Someone was asking above how much they paid. Does that really matter? I heard the news on the radio and immediately I called my wife and we interceded on their behalf. Thank God for his intervention. May the Lord's name be praised! |
ZooOga:So, with all these "productivities", he still died of prostrate cancer? I guess research has found out that being active like this man reduces the incidence of prostrate cancer or is this a case of hyperactivity? Anyway, RIP to the dead |
TopeQs:I don't really like all this back and forth on faceless forum. Other commenters had actually adequately replied you and this is just to buttress their comments and this will be my last reply to you on this matter. My points are just two. One, the issue is about SSANU and not ASUU. You couldn't reason along with their complaints but attacked ASUU, who in its wisdom and foresight had foreseen the current situation. It's no joke when you say someone has a Ph.D. let alone being a professor. Again, there is no hope for any country that rubbishes its body of intellectuals! ASUU's decision is not a one-man show. It's based on rigorous and superior arguments. How many SSANU members have Master's degree let alone a Ph.D.? No, wonder SSANU doesn't have such foresight and cannot come up with such decisions. I do not in anyway wish to malign SSANU but just like I said earlier, their lack of cooperation with ASUU for whatever reasons has brought them here. That's also the problem with Nigeria. We usually blindly go against the opponents; not because they are enemies or their pursuits is detrimental to the welfare of the masses but just that they opponents! Then secondly, you said you knew a lecturer working in four different federal universities! It's interesting to note that you have removed the federal and changed it to just universities which probably are state or private universities! That's the problem! Just like the FG itself, you like false propaganda. If you were that certain, why did you change it. I can see that you are not a kid but I guess you know I'm not, too |
TopeQs:If only you can be a bit more objective in your appraisal of the situation on ground! Firstly, the issue is about SSANU not ASUU and so the question you should ask yourself is: are SSANU members also working in multiple places like academic staff? If SSANU is regretting its action now, shouldn't that be reason for any reasonable individual to reconsider this IPPIS issue? No, you will not do that. Apparently, you have been looking for an opportunity to rubbish ASUU just like others who are perpetually blinded to the truth! I can't even sympathize with SSANU because their lack of cooperation with the academic staff brought them to this situation. The point is there is actually no hope for any country that rubbishes its intellectuals. Now, let's look at your ridiculous claims of knowing of an academic staff working in up to 4 universities. Yes, let's work with your maximum of 4 and let's assume the worst scenario that this staff is a professor (because professor earns the highest salary). Let's also assume his salary is N500K. Mind you, most professors who earn up to this are already old and can barely run around as you claim. With these four universities, this means your hypothetical and omnipresent lecturer is earning 2 million naira monthly. Actually, the man is earning 1.5M extra since he's entitled to one salary, at least. Now, what you fail to realize is that almost 70% or more universities where lecturers do part-time jobs are either private or state universities and IPPIS cannot prevent that! I hope the picture is getting very clear to you? You seriously betrayed yourself by claiming your lecturer is working in four different federal universities! That claim is untrue and nothing but just the figment of your own biased imagination to mislead the ignorants like yourself. This is what you and other members of the populace have not been told. IPPIS cannot and will not stop payment from state and private universities! So, what's the fuss all about? What's the total number of lecturers having multiple salaries from the the almighty FG? Let's wake up and be realistic! The fight of ASUU is not just for her purse. The FG is not sincere and cannot be trusted. Thank God SSANU is getting to know that albeit somehow late. Once, the FG succeeds in subduing ASUU (God forbids), I'm afraid, the dying federal universities will be finally buried. |
