I can see you are only interested in arguments and not in facts. Jesus said a sign of speaking in a NEW tongue will follow those who believe in him and you are here saying where did Jesus say believers will speak in tongues You appear very confused with your question (no pun/insult intended). Again, is anyone saying you can speak without using the tongue or what are you saying? He didn't ask them to speak in new tongues on their own. He said it WILL follow them. Speaking in tongues is not what you can do yourself. You receive the ability ONLY when you are empowered by the only Holy Spirit. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit AND began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Act 2:4) Of course, thereafter, you can speak the tongue at will because you already have the gift. How would Jesus have commanded a specific language? This may probably support the the initial statement that speaking in tongues is not heavenly language; it's human language. If it were heavenly, everyone, probably, would be saying the same thing. This will be my last response to you on this. You are always free to have your own opinion. Shalom Lovenorth: Where Jesus ask you to speak in tongue and the specific tongue clearly stated? Is there any language you speak without your tongue? Why are you deceiving yourselves? |

I guess Mummy G.O. is correct. Tongue is a spiritual gift or heavenly gift but NOT heavenly language. It appears you didn't have a full grasp of what Paul was saying in 1 Corinthians 13. He was talking about love. His reference to tongues of angel was to show the importance of love. If you had read that verse in other translations, you would have got a better understanding. For instance, Amplified says, "If I can speak in the tongues of men and even of angels... Obviously, he didn't say he spoke in the tongues of angels. I strongly believe anyone who has the kind of tongue has the 'diverse kinds of tongues'. So this 'diversity' isn't really referring to tongues of angels. it is diverse because you can really make a full statement in one language. For instance, you may wish to say, 'father, please help me'. Your 'father' may be in Hausa, 'please' in french and 'help me' in Chinese! That is why no one understands the speaker. There is a need for interpretation because the statement is not in one language. It is a mixture of different languages and that's why it is diverse. You are also incorrect to say you speak the tongues of angels! Do you know all the languages in the world? Tongues are human languages and it will be good if we stay within the Bible. enthronedbyGod1: The Bible is our guide , not mummy GO. Every Christian should endeavour to study scriptures for his/herself. Every true preacher of the gospel should be able to back their sermons up with the Bible. The scriptures is clear on this matter so we'd look at what the scriptures say about tongues. 1 Corinthians 12: 10c - To another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 1 Corinthians 13:1a - Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels. From these scriptures we can see there are diverse kinds of tongues. The scriptures clearly states that there are tongues of angels and that of men. When people speak in tongues they either speak with the tongues of angels or with tongues of men( tongues not familiar to them). This is why we have another gift called gift of interpretation of tongues, if there was nothing as tongues of angels there'd be no need to interpret it supernaturally. Anyone who tells you that there is nothing like heavenly tongues ( tongues of angels) is either ignorant or intentionally trying to mislead people. I have spoken and still speak with the tongue of angels as the Spirit leads and have interpreted sometimes through the gift of interpretation by God's special grace. Don't let anyone deceive you. We have heavenly tongues ( tongues of angels)

Apologies for late reply! No, she's yet to get it. She doesn't live in Lagos. So, she will get it anytime she goes to Lagos. tannystacey: Hi there. Just wanted to ask if she has been able to get her passport back? How long did it take? |
Travel › Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by justt: 4:53pm On Jul 31, 2021 |
She is yet to get her passport back because the result is to be submitted after 7 days of isolation. After much argument, they were all allowed to go for isolation in their respective states. tannystacey: Oh wow! So sad. Must have been extremely stressful. Really sorry about that. Please, the repeat test that she did to get her passport back, was it done 24 hrs after she arrived or 7days after?
How long did she have to wait in Lagos to get the passport back? |

Nigeria and exploitation! My wife went back to Nigeria on 28th but with Ethiopian Airlines. She wasn't asked to pay before leaving but on arrival, all passengers from SA were told that they would have to pay N500k for 7 days isolation period! It was really a big challenge before they were released to go for isolation in the their respective states. They however sized their passports until they submit the results of repeat Covid test. I wonder if they think people are picking money on the street in abroad. tannystacey: Co asking. Please anyone who has traveled from SA to naija via Kenya airways or other airline recently shud kindly share their experience.

I have got an answer to my query! It's automatically generated on the site. I should have done that before asking justt: Hi, Can someone advise me on covid payment for those returning to Nigeria. I learned that apart from paying for the test at country of departure, one must also pay before arrival for another test in Nigeria! So, I would like to know if the N50k is mandatory for all?
I need clarification to this because I'm aware the test is N10k in Federal Medical Center, Owo. For those who wish to do the test in Owo, is it possible to pay 10k?
Quick response shall be appreciated. |

Christianity Etc › Re: The Bible Passage That Says Tribulation Will Happen Before Rapture by justt: 7:28pm On Jul 10, 2021 |
MaxInDHouse: God's word never supported such idea. According to the Bible those going to heaven with Jesus must die and be buried first but instead of sleeping in death during Christ's presence in power they will be transformed into spirit beings while there body decays! 1Corinthians 15:35-47
The born again Christians must die naturally first before they're transformed. Most of them will sleep in death but when the trumpet is blown for the dead in Christ (born again) those who are dead will rise first, while those living will be transformed instantly after they die.
The point of emphasis there is that each born again Christian must complete his earthly course before joining others in glory. So the word RAPTURE doesn't apply in any way! You don't seem to understand what you are trying to explain! |
Christianity Etc › Re: The Bible Passage That Says Tribulation Will Happen Before Rapture by justt: 9:42am On Jul 10, 2021 |
MaxInDHouse: Please in which verse is the word "RAPTURE" written in this chapter? Because the word "TRIBULATION" is there but i can't find the word "RAPTURE" You don't really need to have the word 'Rapature' written there! The question here is, what is the definition or concept of rapture all about? To me, I believe it's generally taken as a sudden disappearance of saints or believers in Christ. Now go back and read verses 40 & 41 and see if that concept is captured or not. |

Frank, Jesus loves you, so do we! We will always remember you in our prayers, Frank! Oya, chop Kiss Jesus loves you so much. He died for your sins. He cares for you so much. Hugs and kisses to you Have a nice day![/quote]Wow, ! I really like your response to Frank. We keep praying for him
[quote author=Franking: Ur God does not live. Otherwise I dare him to do his worst. Nonsense. Franking, don't expect to fall down and die or that any evil will befall you, no, you won't experience such! Why? Because on the cross of Calvary Jesus said, "Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing" (Luk 23:34). How would he do his 'worst' when he chose to die for your sins? Jesus doesn't have 'worst' but love. He loves sinners so much that he gave himself. The Bible says while we were still sinners, he died for us (Rom 5: 8 ). We will keep praying for you, trusting God that one day you will come and share in this great and indescribable love of God. |

kennyjoy: thanks for the reply @justt I’ve already know how to get the flight itinerary for my visa application, but still having issues with the hotel booking for my visa application, I was denied of SA visit visa recently due to Hotel reservation lack credibility(No cost of stay) though the previous denied visa application was package with the help of an travel agent before I came across this thread so later I got to know that this agent use booking.com website for my Hotel reservation and not directly to the hotel.
Lastly, please where can I get a notary sealed on my marriage certificate, I asked same question right here last 2weeks but I got confused with the answer. I’m only going on short vacation with my wife not long visit visa and as I read on Vfs website you only need a notary sealed on your marriage certificate if it’s short visit. Please help. I don't really understand why where an applicant certifies his/her marriage certificate should be different based on their length of stay in SA! Marriage certificate is the same regardless of length of stay and mode of certification should be same. I certified mine in Abuja at the ministry of foreign affairs but since your said you read it somewhere that notarized copies would suffice, maybe you can have the certificate certified at the high court. |

KazikageSama: When I submitted mine, it was legalization (of my own marriage certificate) that was requested but your case and application is different. I want to believe that notarization will serve the purpose. I don't really think they are different. Every marriage certificate submitted to the South Africa Embassy is expected to be certified at ministry of foreign affairs. I'm particular about SA embassy because no other embassies from where I have processed visa had ever requested marriage certification from me. The requirement is actually ridiculous. I also had court wedding and it was the certificate from the court that I submitted. Are they saying court wedding certificate is not genuine enough? |

Mercydecy: Ah! They just said the certification is supposed to be from Nigeria and not south africa It may be better to certify the document once and for all. I went there with notarized copy (done in high court) and was turned back! Certification is done at the ministry of foreign affairs in Abuja. |

Family › Re: I Regret Getting Married To The Mother Of My Triplets by justt: 6:15am On Mar 16, 2021 |
Prospertochu: I got my girlfriend then now wife pregnant, I wasn't ready for marriage. My plan was to take care of her and my baby while she stays in her father's house, her mother was fine with it as long as I take care of my responsibilities, but everything changed when the scan confirmed that she was carrying triples, her mother said I must marry her because there's no way her daughter will still under her roofs with 3 children.
I pleaded with her to give me sometimes to find my own accommodations because I was living in my father's family house after his demise I stay with his siblings while my mum left with my younger sister.
My mother in law refused saying I must do something fast because she doesn't want people to mocked her that her daughter has gotten pregnant out of wedlock not just with one baby but 3 so I managed to save enough money to get a place for our own but her mother refused saying I must pay her bride price first, I didn't have any more money so i have borrowed from friends and added to the money I had to pay for her bride price. It wasn't a big party just something small, I took my wife to my father family house where we are living now with our triplets but things hasn't been easy for me, taking care of 3 children it's not easy, I am grateful that I am rent free but household bills are killing me.
My wife and I are always arguing because she keeps asking for more money my salary is 55k I use to give her 20k monthly, 10 monthly to my mother and I use 20 and save 5k she said the money wasn't enough that I am stingy, I now started giving her 25k she is still complaining about the money not being enough. I refused giving her more she started staving me of sex and foods. My family are tired of separating us fighting almost every day, my uncle has asked us to leave the compound because we are disturbing there peace and I had to beg him to forgive us that ur shouldn't be happening again and I cautioned my wife but she is threatening to abandon me with the kids. I have told her to do her worse because I am tired of her madness. I wish I never married her in the first, all I could've do is to take care of my kids and let her be I know it's too late now to change the past but what should I do? OP, you are very selfish and wicked! You alone, you are spending 20k on yourself, and you want her to manage 25k for five of you? Again, 10k for your mum alone. Do you really love the lady? I'm not against taking care of parents, but not at cost of your family. Your immediate family comes first. If you listen to wrong advice and allow that lady to leave, I can bet it you will regret it. With 25k, that means, each of you (dad, mum and 3 kids) spends 5k/month, N166.67/day (if you only eat once), N83.33 if you twice and N55.56 if you eat thrice! As you can see, the money is too small. The kids will definitely need other stuffs. For now, I will advise you stop the 10k you are giving to you mum until your situation improves, also try and reduce your own 20k spending to 15k lesser. May God send you timely help |

Yeah, killing on behalf of God, especially of those who do not share your religious belief, is very unfortunate, barbaric and unacceptable! But when you say "people reading holy books", you have lumped everybody together Christians and even some other religious followers are not involved. I can't even blame Muslims who believe "infidels" must be killed because they don't seem to know better. No wonder Jesus said, "Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing". However, they need to accept the provision of God's forgiveness which is only available in Christ Jesus before it is too late! That's also one of the reasons for posting the clip - to help my Muslim brothers to know that Jesus is the ONLY way to the God. Sentiments apart, what the man said in the clip is enough for any Muslim who wants to reign eternally with God to find out the truth. MightySparrow: Why? Why are people reading holy books to kill? You know what I mean. |
