Christianity Etc › Re: Why Once Saved Always Saved Is Not A License To Sin by justt: 4:18pm On Nov 17, 2019 |
alBHAGDADI: Where in the Bible does it say saved people who continue in sin will go to hell fire? Nowhere is such found in the Bible. Saved people who sin are only punished here on Earth by God their father. God scourges as chastens his children who sin to keep them obeying him.
Hebrews 12:6-11 (KJV) For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
The Bible also states that our earthly fathers correct us when we do wrong. How many earthly fathers have you seen feed their son to a lion? None. Yet you think God will send his own children who carry his spirit to hell fire?
Hebrews 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
You are here expecting man to be without sin. If it were possible for man to be sinless, there won't have been any need for Jesus to come. During his days, he said "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone". No one could cast a stone because they were all sinners. Yet you believe a man exists today, in this corrupt and immoral world, that is without sin.
1 John 1:8 (KJV) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
You have made God a liar by saying man has to be without sin before he can make heaven. You made God a list who said we are all sinners and there is none righteous, no not one.
1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
Well, you are a liar, that's why you believe one has to be sinless to make heaven. Whereas, the word of God says we are all sinners.
Romans 3:23-26 (KJV) 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
As seen above, we are all sinners. The only ones justified in the sight of God Almighty are the ones who have been justified through their believe in Jesus, not the works of righteousness.
We will always sin as long as we exist in this flesh because the spirit and flesh are at battle. Guess what? The sins don't send us to hell. Why? Because Jesus Christ is our advocate who ensures we don't come into condemnation.
1 John 2:1 (KJV) My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
The Bible also advised us to not grieve the Holy Spirit which is what happens when we sin. However, that same Holy Spirit has SEALED us for all eternity and just waiting to redeem what he has sealed.
Ephesians 4:30 “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”
The reason we are afraid of sinning is because we fear God and don't want him to visit us with the curses in Deutoronomy 28 which he places on those who disobey his commandments. As for sin sending us to hell fire, that's a lie.
I've gone against you with the word of God. All you've done is spew your own understanding. What has Satan promised you that is making you so eager to hinder people from getting saved? Is this another gospel or the same gospel of the Lord Jesus? I guess people should be very careful of your message! Of what use is salvation and invariably, the death of Christ if we continue willfully in sins because no matter what we will make heaven? What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Rom 6:1&2 And what moral justification will God have to condemn sinners when even the so called 'saints' are sinners? Jesus himself told the Jew who believed in him that they must abide in his word. Not just believing alone. John 8:31: Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. Obviously, part of abiding in him is obedience to his word. I guess your error is the your inability to differentiate between slipping and choosing willfully to remain in sin. The Bible totally condemns willful sin. And what do you say to the messages in Hebrew concerning willful sins? Heb 6:4-6: For [it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put [Him] to an open shame. Heb 10:26-31: For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses' law dies without mercy on [the testimony of] two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, [ "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,"] says the Lord. And again, [ "The LORD will judge His people."] 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Heb 12:14 specifically says, without holiness no one will see the Lord. Are you lowering this standard? Do not be deceived, no sinner in whatever guise has eternal life. Eph 5:3-6 But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; 4 neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Please repent of this view of yours which has no basis in the Holy Bible and stop leading ignorant people to hell! Shalom |

mcdreeezy: Isn't that kind of divisive? A family bearin different surnames? I really wanna understand the logic cuz I'm considerin changin mine in the future. For instance, if ur name is henry justt and ur wife is mary justt, then ur kids are precious henry, thierry henry and benita henry- if ur family is to be called a general name which is mostly the surname just like the kardashians or the elliots ( a collective name for a family), what will ur family be called since the parents and kids bear different surnames?? Just curious Wow, for so long I haven't checked here! No, my wife will stop bearing my surname (Justt) instead she will bear my name ('Henry'). Then our family will be referred to by my firstname - Henry |

willy2000: Don't place the cart before the horse! Why do you want to migrate to Germany? work or study? If it is work, then you have to search for a job according to you skill sets and make you millions, if you want to study, then forget making millions and face your study. And there is no way menial jobs will fetch you millions while studying. If you want to come to Germany with a student visa so you can work full time, I will advise you not to attempt it. You will be caught, so please come and study, after which you search for a job and make your billions or you apply for a job seeking visa and start making your millions/billions from day one. People in Germany who have been contributing to the thread are much appreciated. However, what is worth doing at all, is worth doing well. Answers to some questions seems so ambiguous/vague. I once lost the opportunity to have my PhD in Canada because a colleague also gave me a vague answer! The Institution was offering $18,000/annum and I asked him, as someone who was already there and should know better, if this amount will be enough to sustain me. He said it depends on me!!! Of course I still needed to apply and compete with others but his response just put me off. Well, I later have to go to the same University but just for a part of my study and I found out this amount was well enough to sustain me. My monthly expenses was even below $700. I don't know the problems with Nigerians. It seems we often don't wish others have the same privileges we are enjoying. Legendguru has two options on which he's seeking "expert" opinions and he should be advised as such without any form of discouragement. In his/her last question, he asked about menial jobs and the possibility of making some amount from this menial job. Are certificates that relevant to get menial jobs? Thank you |

Hadampson: Experience isn't always the best teacher, i tell people you can always make the experience of other people your best teacher. You don't have to go through the same experience to learn.
Yes, from the old/new posts, most German veterans emphasized on learning the language to some level before leaving Nigeria for Germany.
Please i know some people are very occupied but try to adjust your schedule, even if na just 30 minutes everyday.
Goethe institute is there for those that have the money to learn it there and if you happen to be like me (poorest guy ), you can learn by yourself. I know somebody here on nairaland who learnt Hwagui to the level of fluency before travelling to South Korea for studies. If he can do it, you can do it.
Hwagui is by far more difficult than German. Instead of studying the grammar rules and sentence structure, you can start memorizing the useful phrases. I think its faster that way.
For those that fall in the second category.

The idea that what you guys have gone through to get to this "authority level" others must also go through it is not always necessary and should not be encouraged. This is a thread that's over 400 pages and you are advising someone to go through it all just for an information you could have used lesser words to answer compare to these your responses?! Your responses are too harsh! You could still have passed the same information in a more encouraging manner than this. SyberKate: so I want to apply to this school in Germany. i made an enquiry to the school and they sent me this.
The list of application documents you have to submit via uni-assist include among others:
+a certified copy of your bachelor's diploma and certified bachelor transcripts of records (list of subjects taken), +a simple copy of your higher education entrance qualification (e.g. Secondary School Leaving Certificate, High School Diploma, A-levels, Abitur etc.; you need a notarised translation to German or English from a sworn translator if the original is not in German or English), +a concise up-to-date curriculum vitae with details about your educational history, practical experience (if applicable), research interests etc., +a thesis or equivalent publication (if the thesis/equivalent publication is not in English or German, you have to submit the paper(s) in the original language and to add a meaningful summary in English or German), +simple copies of passports/official personal identifications/german residence permit etc.
my concern now is that my school will not give me my transcript but will send it directly to the university I'm interested in so how do I get it notarized also I'm applying for MSc so what do they mean by a thesis publication Deustchemann: @bolded, there's a scope I've learnt from the seniors on the thread. Go to a nearby University (not the one you graduated from) or Company, explain to the HOD/Manager (anyone you sha know that's in charge there) what you need your transcript for. Then, make your school send the transcript to the department/company, and pick it up there yourself. Make photocopies of it and notarize it. You can notarize at 1. State/Federal High courts 2. Public notaries (They are kinda special lawyers who can do that for you) 3. German consulate in Lagos. You'll need to book an appointment for that. There are two types of transcript: 1. The official copy 2. The unofficial copy or student copy. Since they expect you to notarize it, you are expected to send the unofficial copy. Both contain same information. Main difference is that the unofficial copy may not be stamped by the University (this is also the reason it has to be notarized), it may also have student's copy as watermark and, of course, it's cheaper since you are collecting it directly. Thesis or publication include any write-up you have such as: Undergraduate project Reports or term paper Journal articles Or any other write-ups that may show your scientific writing skills |

Deustchemann: You'll know all these stuffs when you mail the course coordinator of the school you're applying to. They'll tell you everything you need to know.
The image attached is a screenshot from my mail box. I asked them if proficiency letter is acceptable, and he replied that I must have TOEFL or IELTS. But with image you attached, you are also exempted from TOEFL or IELTS if you've studied in an English speaking country for at least six months. So, TOEFL or IELTS is not a MUST for Nigerian students since English is still our official Language. However, this may only be applicable to this particular university

Firefire: Eight politicians with N232bn corruption cases working for Buhari’s re-election
Godswill Akpabio (N100bn)
Rotimi Amaechi (N97bn) The way we hear millions and billions this day may not allow us to really appreciate the gravity of corruption in this country! If this is anything to go by and considering JUST how much 1b is and how long it takes to spend it, let's have a simple arithmetic: 1b = #1,000,000,000 Divide this by 12, that's one year = #83,333,333. This means #1b can be spent in a year by spending #83,333,333 monthly. Except such spending is for developmental purposes, then such person is Oponu Omo onina k'una (a very stupid and foolish prodigal child) Let's also assume an individual will live up to 83 years, then divide this value by 83. This should give approximately 1M 1 million naira per month for 83 years! If you think this is not much don't forget this is without working; no business, no addition, no stress and at end on month 1M is waiting for you. Now, how many people legally earn that monthly even with all they do? The questions are: what do they need such amount for or what have they done with it and how many of them have 83 years more to live?! Don't forget the calculation was JUST on 1b. Besides, we are only considering those discovered. I doubt it with level of corruption in this country if the future of third generations have not been squandered! Let's say to corruption in whatever guise it may appear. |
Family › Re: "My Husband's Pride Wants To Ruin Our Home" The True Story by justt: 9:48am On Jul 21, 2018 |
ExtraExtra: Women are the backbone of the family, they make or mar the home, since they help bring life to the world suffice it to say they sum up what we call family, 99% of successful, longlasting home or family is the ability of the woman to hold the "forte".
My attention was drawn to this forum and this topic https://www.nairaland.com/4617351/husbands-pride-wants-ruin-home#69371294 and it is sad that most people drew conclusion on a one sided story though i wouldnt blame those involved because they judged based on what was said and the individual involved needed public validation for her wrong doing, a public display i dont approve of but since external persons and relations are already involved i'd like to clear some details.
"Dee" comes from a very well to do family while i dont so when we got married, i made her feel we are in this together, not one above the other but as partners in EVERYTHING. To be fair to her she brought up the business idea we did years ago, in other to put forth money to start up, i made sure i had equal money as her for it, goal was to own a property, build et al. Unfortunately my dad's ailing health deteriorated to the extent that he had to be flown out, when the profit came, i told her and she agreed, she decided we split it into two so she use hers for the initial plan. As the first born i went with my dad, back here she got the property and started building, when i came back the remaining money with me was used to complete it, what was left was used for my parents house. Being a trust worthy person i feel she is, i didnt bother to check documents cos i felt she would do the right thing by putting both our names which she kept in a bank.
Now, i work and own other businesses so i'm always in contact with alot of people from both genders so to her she feels i may have lost guard by cheating which is not true: i dont have password on my phones, i always make and receive calls right in front of her but she still think i'm hiding something and that was the genesis of the problem weeks ago, i rebuked her to cut it out immediately but she was out for blood, she insulted me like never before, when i didnt give her face, she extended her TOXIC words to my parents, my family, my background and my personality, that was when i lost it, if not for my cousin that was there i would have hit her, out of anger i told her to get the hell out of the house which of course i didnt mean, then she shocked me saying the house is ONLY in her name, i was numb and speechless, in other for me not to react in a brutal way i left the house, told her i would never step there again if she doesnt change it to my name ONLY. My cousin who was there when it happened told my people, they called me so i had to explain things, right now her family knows what happened and none is supporting her.
YES i said she should put my name only cos she belittled and betrayed me which tells me if it was in both our names she will raise shoulder and feel above me.YES i requested for transfer and i will go through with it, i cannot be away from my kids and still be in the same state, it doesnt make, when it is sucessful, i will get a place conducive amd comfortable for my kids, they will be with me. I told her recently not to bother with the name change anymore, she can have the house all to herself for all i care.
I wont divorce her because i dont believe in that, once i move with the kids she can come along if she wants but right now we are seperated. I wanted a partner, she displayed stupidity not smartness, what the future holds i dont know, she made her bed she should lay on it. I just commented on your wife's post and thought to chip in one or two words here, too. One point that I'm really happy with in your post is the statement that you don't believe in divorce. Please know that as believers that the two of you are, marriage is the best avenue to test the quality of your Christianity. So, what you're going through is not strange. The quality of your Christianity is tested on your level of love, patience, peace, forgiveness and many of such fruit. l have advised your wife to submit to you but PLEASE make it convenient for her. And I think the first step to take in that direction is to go back home. Don't get separated from her. Going away from her until she does what you wanted will make you a RULER rather than a LEADER you are called to be to her. YES, she betrayed your trust but two wrongs will never make a right. Again, who doesn't mess up? Even as believers, we still offend or if I should use your word, we betray God but he doesn't give up on us. There's a very powerful scripture I found before I got married which has been the bedrock of my family, "Husbands, love your wives, JUST as Christ also loved the church and GAVE Himself for her (Eph 5:25, NKJV, emphasis mine). With all the imperfections in the Church today, Jesus still loves her. That doesn't mean he condones or overlooks sins. God gave that woman to you as a gift. You have tried but you can do better. Again from you post, please be more open to your wife. Women need assurance and If she's suspecting your movements, don't just brush it aside. Let her know you more than before, your movements, businesses etc even when she doesn't ask you. Don't ASSUME she knows and SHOULD TRUST you rather BRING her to a position that she is SURE you are who you say you are and can defend you anytime anyday. I know you can do this more so that the two of you still love each other. Finally, please be contented with her decision to change the name to reflect the two of you. That's the standard and also necessary to ASSURE her you are not planning evil against her. Though in my case, all my properties (a car and two plots of land) bear my wife's name (paid for by me) but we don't operate joint account because she's a more free spender and that may get the family into financial distress. It's well with your family. Looking forward to hearing your testimony of reconciliation soon. |

HEseesall: I had to open this account for anonymity I'm in a dilemma, let me start like this, when i and my husband first got married we did a joint business that fetched us a huge amount of money, the aim was to build a house, when we got the money, he decided to use his' for his parents (i had no problem with that) then mine for what we wanted to use it for
Two weeks ago we had a major misunderstanding, it was soo intense to the extent that he told me to park out of the house, in the heat of things i told him that cannot be possible that the house is in my name, he was shocked, saying it is impossible we built it together that it's in his name, i had to remind him what happened then, he was furious saying it was wrong of me to use my name, that he cant believe he has been staying in a house that does not belong to him, he told his family what i did claming victim, then he packed out saying he wont come home till i change the name to his full name, i begged him to no avail, i dont even know how to tell my people, imagine if it was in his name, i and the kids would have been out of the house by now, he has requested for transfer from his office to another state cos of this, who does that?? He cant expect me to change it to his name.
Pls i need other advise to go about this, he is a good man but he feels his ego has been bruised, i need other options.
MODIFIED For those viewing this, i have made some clarifications down to page (1), Firstly, I can see there's love in your heart for your husband as you said he's a good man and so you will want the issues on ground worked out; that's good and commendable. You see my advice here will not be based on sentiments or on popular opinions but on the words of God. If indeed you are a Christian, please be always guided by the word. A fundamental problem I noticed in your family from your narrative is that you are not one! A Christian home is never divided. It's already a failure that both of you have things separately - this is mine and that's is yours already pointed out that there's a problem except you're talking about bra and underwears but with properties, NO! God already made you one, don't divide yourselves with things. Now, what should do? Well, maybe this may not be an appropriate question since there are many options as some had even suggested. The proper question should be, what would God want me to do? A major problem with believers today, including pastors, is that we only hear the word, some even preach but we don't allow it to rule or direct our lives! I believe and will suggest you submit to your husband just as the Bible commands. "Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so [let] the wives [be] to their OWN HUSBAND IN EVERYTHING" (Eph 5:24, NKJV, emphasis mine). Please don't misunderstand me. I value and appreciate women and will in no way subjugate them, not even with the Holy Bible. I quoted the reference above because I believe every aspect of a believer's life should be directed by God's word. |
Health › Re: How Do I Deal With Excruciating Ulcer? by justt: 7:34pm On Oct 28, 2017 |
Op, I can feel your pains having suffered from the symptoms you listed and many more. For more than a year now, I have been having some difficulty swallowing saliva. Just saliva. I don't have any difficulty with eating or drinking(sounds strange?).
I have tried a number of drugs and antacids which work for a while but the symptoms always returned. I have always tried to browse on it but many times I'm discouraged from doing so because of many negative reports I get. Many of such reports have said it could be heart attack, angina or even cancer. Though I have done endoscopy and echocardiogram where they said it was ulcer.
However, since the prescribed drugs are not working or not having lasting effect coupled with my hatred for drugs and the pains getting worse, I had to browse again to see if there were people who had had similar experience and overcame and what they did to overcome.
Well I found some helpful tips (just two) which I will say have given me about 40-60% relief.
1. I have stopped taking water with food. Either drink water 30-60 mins before food or after. Make sure you chew your food probably before swallowing. Though many, including doctors have said one major cause of ulcer, aside H. pylori is over production of acid but I'm getting to know that the reverse is actually the case. That's ulcer patient don't really produce enough acid and because the food stays longer in the stomach, it ferments and the gas produced is actually responsible burning sensation in the abdomen. So, taking water with food will dillute the little acid produced.
2. Please and please get rid of any stress from you. This might have come from anxiety/fear. This may be bit difficult but try. I say it may difficult because many of the symptoms are ordinarily things that will alarm you - breathlessness, heart palpitations, burning sensation in the abdomen and others pains. Aside this, also try to reduce your stress level from other sources which may be financial, marital, career-wise, etc. Stress limits your acid production.
In addition, try to eat more living foods such and fruit and vegetables than processed foods.
I'm not a medical doctor but this is the summary of what I have read so far and practised. It has been of help to me and I hope it helps you, too. |

So this N2-N3 reduction is what is termed 'crash'? I guess the OP is just ignorant of the word or you are just being ridiculously mischievous! |

austin4real: Aahhh aahhn, dats a lie ooo, Aha, my Austin4real, I guess I'm the one using the car austin4real: did you buy the one with the sr20de engine or the Qg18de, besides if it's manual then you are guaranteed of superb fuel economy. Well, I don't know what you mean by sr20de engine or the Qg18de. Yeah, it's a manual type and 1.6 engine. I guess something is wrong somewhere with the car. The car actually came with the option of using gas. My mech said, that was issue, the gas tank was removed with its associated connections. The fuel consumption improved a bit. When I complained again that no significant improvement, because the first week, I used it throughout with AC and the second week without AC. Again, he said the airflow (I'm not really sure what he called it) is bad and should be changed. I just changed that and still watching it. |

Thank you all, I already bought one some weeks ago, very neat and ok except that it's guzzling fuel like no man's biz!
In fact my former V6 camry wasn't consuming as much as this. |

sorry that my reply is coming late. I was seriously discouraged about the automatic type and was advised to rather go for the manual.
Thank you |

Car Talk › Nissan Primera: Manual Or Auto? by justt(op): 7:32pm On Feb 02, 2017 |
Please I'm planning to get a Nissan primera 2001 (salon type). From my visit around, I have only seen the manual.
I actually I prefer auto, more so that my wife will have to use it. She has not mastered auto and I don't think she will master manual any time soon.
However, when I went to the auto shop, the seller said the manual is better than auto as the auto model develops faults too often. I wouldn't know if he said this just for me to buy the manual, which was even the only one available at the auto park here in Akure.
For people who have used these cars before please can you share your experience both for manual and auto
Thank you
