Its shocken, when 9/11 happened they came up with this idea that Bush organised it even as Osama claimed responsible. Osama was killed, his supported denied it but at the same time demonstrating in London, Pakistan, Aghanistan abt his killing? If they don't believe that he is dead why then are they protesting? His daughter has told the Pakistan authority that her daddy was killed by USA seal, still some empty brain are still coming up with some baseless conspiracy.

Yesterday about 200 of muslim fanatics matched to American embassy in London carrying ofensive placards, they were not killed or bombed as they would have done IF any 'non-believer tries that in Pakistan or Aghanistan.

Do you have student visa already? I mean, have you applied for student visa and was given?

The UKBA requires you to have ALL the money b4 traveling to the UK, you can't convince them that ur parent will be sending the money when u need it, it doesn't work that way anymore it used to be like but the system has changed, its much tigher now.

You may not like to hear this but i will say it

What you are about to do now will come back to hurt you. You need that £7200 for ur survival in the UK, the school would want to see that money during or after ur course registration. They would ask you to show proof of that £7200 PLUS the school fees, forget about working and studying full time to pay fees, u will struggle badly to meet up.

If the immigration asked u at the airport u must show them evidence of that £7200 plus the fees. they will not accept £2000, u will be sent back from the airport, please think about it.

You don't need to hold any cash BUT u have to proof that u have all the money(£7200 + the school fees) If you put that money in Domi account, print out the statment 2 or 3 days b4 leaving for the UK and u also need the bank card to be able to withdraw ur money when u get to the UK.

You can take about £500 with u for ur immidiate use in the UK.

Put ur money in a domiciliary account, u can access it when u get to the UK.

That is not entirely true, work placement is just for undergraduates which is part of their degree, u don't really get paid for that, mostly 3-6months program b4 ur finaly yr. Whether poorly or higly qualified, foreign students are not allowed to work for 2yrs again unlike b4. Getting a full time job with student visa to join Tier 2 work program after graduation is almost imposible

I've heard (and been warned about) Nigerian scammers before, but I seriously thought this guy was just your average international student like me. He's never asked me for money, he knows I don't have any to give him, but now I'm feeling like one in a long line of women (and gay men!!!) he's trying to scam. It's so crazy, I joined Nairaland to try learn about his culture, learn to cook his food etc, I never thought I'd end up one of those pathetic women crying "I love a scammer!!!"
Anyone have any perspective on this? I seriously don't know what to do, I love this guy but looks like he's a huge liar

You may not be far from the truth, but it could be money from his folks, though i don't think u are ready to find out the truth, u probably scared of letting him go if u found out that he has being ripping innocent women/men off. Ask if u want to know
