whats going on , i asked a significant question but no answer was given, my question again
have received my cas letter and am about to apply for the uk student visa, in making the initial aplication to the school i used my first degree result ie the statement of result and my waec and IELTS certificates but on my cas letter it simply say's document used in carry out assessment for eligibility is just my IELTS Result, does this mean i need not bother about the the others, I mean like my first degree and WAEC stuff and transcript ?

NOTE\: MY CAS letter simply states '' document used in carry out assessment for eligibility is my IELTS Result'' anyone answer pls. one and only.

Use all the documents that you used when applying for the course.

Students earning less than £100 a week don't pay tax but you will pay insurance.

Since you are coming for diploma course, you are allowed to work only 10hrs a week. Minimum wage here is £5.80 per hour. So in a week you be looking at £58, you will not be taxed but may have to pay insurance out of that 58.

I need to add that. . . you will be allowed to work full-time during the holiday

There is a problem of unemployment here for sure, jobs are hard to come by, but with ur £5400 maintenance money, you will be ok untill u settle down to look for part-time job.

They are friendly here, schools here helps foreign students but u have to ask questions, don't take anything for granted. Being new here is not really an excuse.

That will depend on ur bank balance and meeting the requirements.

It must be during your school holiday, only if ur school allows u to go during school term, if they do, then they have to put it in writing else you may not be allowed to re-enter UK.

There is no mention of resumption date on their website but the new semester here starts Sept, never heard of August b4.

Go to their website and use the contact detail there to contact them, ask when they will be sending you the CAS.

I just checked their website now, they don't have any agent in London.

Send the school and email and ask them if they have recieved the payment. Use the email address in their website.

If your friends pays by 2moro. he may get it b4 the week ends. Which school is that? Schools here resumes for new semester in Sept and not August. Only if the system has changed.

@JustwiseThe case of not having paid any part of tution fee is applicable to me too. The school(Cardiff University) never asked me to pay deposit. Though I really wanted to pay the first insallment (about 3400 pounds) ; the school had sent me CAS before i made up my mind. I was advised not to pay the money again coz it doesnt reflect on my CAS that I've made any payment but ensure that I have all the money in my acct for 28 days, I have all the money in my acc and it will have been there for 28day by next wk wednesday. So based on your experience, kindly candidly tell me if not paying any part of the fee can be a disadvantage.On the evidence of accommodation, pls tell me how sure u're that the UKBA may not disqualify me if i dont have any evidence to show but have my 5400pounds (Wales) intact. Since the school sent you CAS without part-payment then do as they said. . . have all the money e.g the whole school fees plus the £5400 in ur account for 28days, you will sort the accommodation issue when you get here, the university has students hall of resident.

What she/'she' failed to mention is that once you enter a contract like this, it is next to impossible to get your green card wife out of your life once you get your papers. If she hasn't gotten you into bed and poked holes in your condom, lied about being on BC or put roots on you (don't laugh, it's very real and some Nigerian men have been the victim but that's their fault), she will try her darnedest to get pregnant and collect child support for 18 years (24 if the kid goes to college). She needs money to post bail, she'll show up. Her boyfriend is doing a bid and needs commissary money, she'll show up; she'll threaten to go to the authorities if you refuse. If you're silly enough to get your papers and leave her to marry another girl (lots of these men have a babe back home, anyway), she may start to threaten you with going to USCIS and declaring that your union was a sham; have mercy on your soul if you're legally married in Naija and she finds out. In fact, I'd just pack my bags and head to the airport because bigamy is very illegal and your green card union would be invalid. The worst that can happen to her is a fine and/or jail time (she'll most likely be able to beat the charges, though) but for the Nigerian, he can have his papers rescinded and get deported. Once that happens, he can't enter the country again EVER unless he sneaks in and if they catch you, you're sent away again.Ask yourself if coming over is really worth it when you consider the woman may have more than one child (and baby daddy) that YOU'RE financially responsible for; to be honest, they're usually the runts of the litter that you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy but if you're that desperate, God speed and don't say you weren't warned.

I got an admission to study MSc in Hull University. But I have not paid any fee including tuition and maintenance fee because when I asked the University, I was told not to make any deposit. Though I have the maintenance and tuition fee in my account.

Please, do you think this could affect me getting a visa? Thank you for your response.

Do they tell you why you shouldn't pay fees? Were you given CAS?

^^^^I hear ya, it happens everyday unfortunately, that is the main reason why American Immigration are becoming stiffer as we speak, they even put a quota on how many Nigerians can enter America now, regardless of what the status are, you know once a person come over to America, the American host is responsible for that person they married and I think after certain amount of years the green card is issued, however soon as green card issued they files for divorce and the host has to inform Immigration they are getting divorce etc, anyways, it make the country looks bad when someone's does that,
Nigeria is not the only country though, they cracking down on Mexico as well,
There are some REAL nigerian men that actually love the women that may be from another country and it makes it harder for them to prove to Immigration is not a scam or a fraud,

So I've read threads on this and have seen it done before. The problem is that people want to do it for like 6000 in the states, If you want to risk it going bad just be cheap like that, You have to pay the persons living expenses and give them cash monthly to ensure success, Or you may find yourself at your appointment and they won't go in because they want 3000 that same moment which you may not have it. Just put like 20,000 to the side and give it little by little over a period of time and you wont have a problem. American citizenship is so worth it, You will go to school for free and change your life forever, what do you think?

Becos the law have changed even if i get maried to her now they still wont let me in i applied for setlment using ma famly in uk but i was turned down i was told the laws changed explained a whole lot of jumbo to me but the bottom line is that i cant use them the money is not a problem trust me

Then i'm not sure ur crime was just overstaying, marriage would have sorted that out.

justwise, isit true they dont really look at your interview date at the door in the morning on the day of your appointment, because the interview dates they keep giving is just inhumane lol, months ago u can reschedule but now its impossible.

i rang immigration office in lagos and abuja, they both redirect me to nigeria house, london and guess what, london redirect me back to lagos saying its out of their control. i tire oo

I'm not sure if they do but i'm 100% sure that they will ask for the postal order.

My interview date is set for November and i applied for the bloody E-passport early last month.

Believe me, it was even less than 2wks, i went there last March, when i was booking online, my first interview date was set on April i reshedule it and got March 22, i was there at mid-day and left 5pm and i was told to come back on the 31th of same month. When u got there, i waited for less than an hr and my name was called i went, signed and collect my e-passport.
