PoliticsRe: Imo Assembly To Impeach Deputy Governor Over N458m Contract Scam by kabaka1: 5:47pm On Mar 08, 2013
Demdem: The case is in court. if he is guilty, he will find himself in Jail. i see it for now as mere allegations.
Even if the find him guilty in a naija court, how long do u think he'll spend in jail - probably six months maximum.
U don forget say this na naija politics we're talking about and in naija, some people are just assumed to be untouchable, despite how much they loot the public treasury.
God help Nigeria
PoliticsRe: Northerners Own 80% Of Oil Blocks - Senator Enang by kabaka1: 2:28am On Mar 08, 2013
Demdem: From what I have personally observe, for one northern owner there are several southern collaborators. Aboki simply can't succeed without having the people on ground. I honestly don't blame them.
I believe u. It's all a game of scratch my back and I scratch urs cool.
Just don't believe all u hear n see in d open arena cheesy grin cool

naijaking1: http://thenationonlineng.net/new/news/revealed-northerners-own-80-of-oil-blocks/

Now, we know who's enjoying the reward of winning the civil war!
I know it's impossible to revoke all d blocs licenses from their current owners, but just in case this happens, the redistribution of the blocs will still be made competitively amongst d elite n connected people who are either godfathers n godchildren of these politicians and their cronies.
The possibility of d common man to benefit from this is to the ratio of one man amongst ten million (1: 10000000) other commoners. grin

Music/RadioRe: Vector Vs Ice-Prince: Who's More Talented? by kabaka1: 1:07pm On Mar 06, 2013
BarryX: Personally, i prefer Ice Prince, Ice is more of style and spits brilliant rhymes unlike Vector (he good though). Am i only one who find it wack to rhyme with Celebrity names? He should stop that..listen to Get down, (Tuface helped him on that) and the current Follow me dey go! BTW Ice prince is rubbing shoulders with foreign artiste, TALENT took him that far
I think Vector just needs better management to get him to d next level like Ice Prince cuz at d end of d day it's all about how much impact u have on the society combined with how commercially successful u are( ie how much money u're making). Right now, I'll say that Ice Prince is winning even though most people r saying that Vector is better. But 4 real, I just took notice of Vector's talent just last month shocked.
PoliticsRe: Foreign Degree & The Nigerian Mentality by kabaka1: 3:32am On Mar 06, 2013
Slant77: Yea, it's quite easy to just accept that "there are no good jobs out there", but the thing is it depend on you.

If you're good and you groom yourself (speak good english, dress for the job you want, LEARN BASIC INTERVIEW SKILLS (this one is very very important) and have the right attitude), the jobs are there. wink

I've seen people (that I knew before "hammering" & still know) who had no connections and did not school abroad, who have gotten good jobs. grin

If you've got yourself a foreign degree, good for you. One good advice - drop the accent , it pisses interviewers off huh. Every interviewer wants to be sure in his/her mind that you can fit in (and work well in teams made of poeple - who are Nigerians living in Nigeria)
I completely agree with n particularly 4 the accent thing, d interviewer go se laugh n mock at him in his mind just 4 that reason which will eventually limit his chance of getting d job
Say what you know, please! What's there is these companies that a brilliant secondary school student can't handle properly? Lemme say this and repeat it again and again, there is nothing scary or big about working in Exxon Mobil or other oil coy. Just a routine, boring and unchallenging task from January to December. Stop making it look as if a 3rd class Nigerian graduate can't handle the task excellently.

Wetin be big work for hourly checking and recording the pressure of an in-line process line or sending mails directing field technicians the next date of routine preventing maintenance? My 2 years old son can do that within 30 minutes of telling him what to do. Abeg fashi that side.

Not that some people can't get recruited base on merit and all that. But what I hate is lying and denial or trying to start bragging with "yeah, I'm now working with shell, cos I'm the best" when in real na pady pady runs carry you go there. The MNC is turning into family business, where members of family rotate recruitment slots among their siblings.

Lemme call some names to buttress my point. Do you know that Demiji Isiaka, Dotun Isiaka and Razak Isiaka are thesame family members working in EXXON MOBIL?, May be na dem sabi book pass wey 3 people and their 4 in-laws will be working in EXXON MOBIL . . . Don't come here to tell me about Exxon Mobil, a place I know like the tip of my dicck. That place is like a family reunion, where members of thesame family work in different department.
Good pointS
PoliticsRe: Foreign Degree & The Nigerian Mentality by kabaka1: 6:55pm On Mar 05, 2013
I think u have some good points here, but I'm just curious, what course did u major in at the Uk university.
That might be a key factor of ur getting a job or not. Let's say if u majored in courses like filmography, computer animation, E-banking etc, I doubt that u'll look 4 a job less than a month in Nigeria if u're coming from Uk.
CrimeRe: 10 Dead Bodies Found In Owerri Burrow Pit by kabaka1: 6:20pm On Mar 05, 2013
1 shortblackboy: And why were d bodies reburied shouldn't they have been taken for autopsy and investigation to determine how they died ? Nigeria na wa o ! undecided
U can guess that by d nature of the decapitated bodies, d police go conclude say na ritual killers at work, so case closed. No autopsy, no investigation to root out the culprits.

That's why naija na 3rd world country. Lack of professionalism amongst its police is its hallmark

CelebritiesRe: Jude - No Artist Signing Till P-square Stop Singing by kabaka1: 4:21pm On Mar 05, 2013
Richfella: I actually forgot to add this. Deciding to manage only PSquare is actually a very wise decision.

I am not the most knowledgeable in this music business thing. But my understanding is that with MOST producers & manager, they have 'the goose that lays the GOLDEN EGGS' and then 'the other artistes'.

Don Jazzy despite having several artistes, D'banj layed the gold-eggs. So was Wiz Kid to Banky W. So is Rihanna, as I think, to Jay Z.

A very wise man once said that it is way better to find a deep well and mine it DEEPER than scatter your force over several shallow ones. Acts like the PSquare boys are a managers life-time dream.

Mr Jude was 'lucky' to find his 'deep well' first. And he is drilling deep. Sharp guy.
May D definitely would have been a golden goose 2. The issue depends on their contract agreement n we may never know all the details to conclude on who's at fault here
BusinessRe: Dangote Is World's 43rd Richest Man - Forbes by kabaka1: 2:45pm On Mar 05, 2013
back2sender: Its only a child given birth to in the late 80s,90s and beyond will not know the source of Dangotes wealth.

So una think sey na the loan given to him by his uncle made him reach? or na sugar & salt wen he dey sell?.

Make we hear word jor, we nigerians dey quick forget things sha ooooo.
Abeg, make u refresh us shocked.I go like hear the Tori oh grin!
CelebritiesRe: Jude - No Artist Signing Till P-square Stop Singing by kabaka1: 7:49pm On Mar 04, 2013
donilalasky: I'm sure if Peter n Paul, weren't his brothers, he would have gone on to sign as many artistes. He's afraid of others outshinning his brothers under his own label. Smacks of selfishness n lack of confidence. My opinion though.
U're damn right. He has this village mentality that just won't leave him alone. May D will definitely find his shine. It's just a matter of time

CrimeRe: Picture Of Damoche & His Mother Exactly One Year To His Death by kabaka1: 2:49pm On Mar 03, 2013
pompori king: Why is this our businesshuh?can't you just leave the story alone..the guy wasn't a ***king celebrity so why all the damoche talk
because Damoche may have become a celebrity one day because of his music talent n ambition, but his dreams has reached a dead end because of his bad decision of being a cultist and he paid the ultimate price 4 his decision. So This is a classic case of the price of making the wrong choices n decisions in life cry.
CrimeRe: Picture Of Damoche & His Mother Exactly One Year To His Death by kabaka1: 2:35pm On Mar 03, 2013
eyenCalabar: When things like this happen, I always remember this scripture and it reads: "Bring up your child in a way he should go and when he grows up, he won't depart from it". This simply means his parents failed him. I think we should not blame this guy much.
That's not always the case. In this case, u can blame it on bad his decisions and wrong choices. The dude just made fckg bad choice n decision of joining a campus cult angry. As an adultm, he should know right from wrong n is not his parents job to tell him what's wring or right at his age undecided. Now he's paid the ultimate price for his stupid decisions cry.
