Oladeligt: Pls are you sure they got this from NA or they are just are just trying to stay relevant Cos if they got this from NA then the govt and the military authority need to be ashamed of themselves sending troops in World War 1 kind of APC. It's an FV103 APC, not a World War 1 vehicle but last built in 1985. We have so many in our old stock, it's not modern but it provides adequate protection from small arms fire. |

Xbee007: Seriously, Nigerian Army should advice soldiers to stop maltreating corpses. I understand their anger but it is not a good thing.
The other day, one was breaking the penis of a burnt terrorists. I couldn't stomach it. I agree, also the decimation of wild life in the North has to be stopped. |

Mynd44: Which of you is pissing off @Nigeriadefense on Twitter?
The guy sounds cool and he is on the side of Nigeria against biko haram. What is the beef about? Yes, he's on the side of Nigeria and our military. However his problem is always posting outright lies & falsehoods to make Nigeria look good. Nigeria has a proud military, proud military history and a growing military industry. Nigeria doesn't need you to lie on her behalf, she only needs you to be factual. When you are known almost across the world for posting lies, you reinforce the negative perceptions people/foreigners have about Nigerians, our military and our country. We don't need that, hence his beef. Imagine posting so much distortion and propaganda that Defence Headquarters in Abuja need to write a notice, twice disassociating themselves from you. It's sad. He has the best of intentions, he doesn't need to lie. There is enough content released by the Nigerian military each year, you don't need to lie about our military achievements. |

komekn: That's not true, Chad has a number of T55 and T62 as well as the BMP 1 (IFV). They actually got them for nothing hundreds were captured from Libya and are still in use. I don't care about Chad, I don't care about Cameroun. My one and only concern is Nigeria. |

rka1: Most definitely, especially as it has follow-up footage which we don't normally see. I'm sure there's much more they are not showing us. With the recent offensive I would expect NAF to begin as a matter of urgency quick fire drills on base protection in Borno, Yola and Zamfara. SF forces and QRF need to practice base defence as often as possible to ensure any terrorist adventurism is decisively squashed. |

rka1: Most definitely, especially as it has follow-up footage which we don't normally see. I'm sure there's much more they are not showing us. Man, I've watched this video 5 times already, and each round is more satisfying than the previous. I laughed had at the terrorist hiding his vehicle under a shelter, next thing was Kabooom!!!..... You're gone with the wind!!! It reminded me of that Turkish military video of PKK fighters firing a recoilless rifle from a jeep on Turkish army position, not knowing ISR was tracking them. Was they got back to their hideout, an F-16 flattened the building. This life no balance. I really enjoyed the follow up, NAF mean this people. The regrouping part was also satisfying!! |

For those terrorists who are interested in meeting their makers this 2021.......... Don't worry, calm down!!!
NAF is preparing a JF-17 main dish, with a side of A-29 Super Tucano and chocolate served with CH-4 with a dash of wing-loong II.
It would be served day & night!!
Nobody would skip night food!!
Dunno how your maker would recognize you in this state, but rest assured you would be well served!!

komekn: One question ❓ What will you call a Brigade or Army base that gets attacked in the night by insurgents and are taken by suprise ❓ ❓ ❓
You are in a highly contested war zone, you expect to be attacked it should never be a SUPRISE !!! You will have a number of pre planned contingency responses.
You really should have at least 5 km situational awareness of your area 24/7/365. Unless you have conceded your immediate environ to the enemy and therefore you lack control.
We have a different expectations, your perspective will be a product of your environment and experiential and formalised knowledge.
What you call PROFESSIONALISM is very different from my own understanding. You have an assimilation problem. AGAIN TROOPS NEUTRALISE BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS IN MARTE AXIS, DESTROY 7 GUN TRUCKS, RECOVER ARMS Troops of Operation TURA TAKAIBANGO in conjunction with the Air Task Force Operation LAFIYA DOLE have effectively destroyed 7 Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists' gun trucks and decimated several unconfirmed number of the terrorists when they attempted to attack their location at the outskirts of Marte in Marte Local Government Area of Borno State. The gallant troops, based on reliable information about the attack, had positioned themselves in an ambush site where they tactically withdrew to, and awaited the arrival of the terrorists before they opened fire which led to fierce battle that resulted in the successes recorded as indicated above. The troops are still engaged in pursuit of the fleeing terrorists for further exploitation. Further details of interest to members of the public will be communicated later. BERNARD ONYEUKO Brigadier General Acting Director Defence Media Operations Defence Headquarters 16 January 2021

SamuelAnyawu: I couldn't take pictures in brigade. Tho I'm not too much of an expertise in Tanks. But I assume any vehicle using a chain wheel is an MBT.
Most of them were towed on trucks with the trucks write up in french " something Du Chad Basin" MNJTF. This is what a Tank looks like, Chad has none, neither does Cameroun. That's a Nigerian army VT4 MBT

Well I dey border I doubt you know what a Main Battle Tank is. Cameroun has none. So how are you sighting Cameroun army MBT that does not exist? Clear this confusion for me. |

As much as the Super Tucano, Nigeria badly needs the MI-35M.
If we don't currently have enough pilots we can use hired pilots in the interim, while we build up our capacity.

JOSCOFELIX: information reaching us, is that Nigeria airforce is moving some air fleet from makurdi to borno and yola for more offensive mood. heavy equipment will soon have their journey to Nigeria. this war must end. How come, there are currently no offensive assets in Makurdi, the F-7s are in China, the only offensive assets assets not in the theater are in Kainji, Niger state, Port-harcourt & L-39 in Sokoto & Kano. |

Xbee007: If you look at these pictures closely, you could actually see the dead terrorists inside the vehicle.
In the first, the burnt driver ribs can be seen. In the second, the burnt occupant in the back seat skull and radius and ulna can be seen. So satisfying!!! |
