marvin906: Your next to insane if you compare a Tejas and fa 50 to gripen and JF-17.. A gripen is a light attack aircraft you must be trolling They are all in the same class, but the Yak-130 is not. It is a trainer aircraft. |

Stephandesward: Most countries, just have enough stockpile, to not be overrun in the intial stage of a major conflict, after that, they transform to what is called a war economy, whereby everything in the country goes into overdrive especially industrially to cater for the prosecution of a major conflict. The manufacturer of mrap, buying of drone and vt4 is a small scale example of my point, albeit our little overdrive came too late and too little, if we were to fight Cameroon and Chad together, you will be surprised at what a war economy can do Apart from the civil war, Nigeria has not been in a total war situation. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by kabe1: 7:12pm On Jan 10, 2021 |
Stephandesward: Exactly, no country has enough stockpile to fight a peer or near peer, there's just always enough to defend themselves for a calculated period of times, pending when the war economy kicks in. This is so much of an exaggeration. War there a sign of war economy when the fighting between Azerbaijan and Armenia kicked off? |

Tobiloba2407: "World war grade"...... even in the golf wars, the USA expended stock of certain ammunition they had. There were two world wars remember, the second one lasted for 5 years. Total war means that the entire economic output of a country would be geared towards the war effort. Manpower would be geared towards military industrial capacity. |

Stephandesward: Truth is that no country has enough ammunition in stock,to last 6 months in a world war grade battle Lol, what sort of a comment is this? Any proof? Look at Amernia-Azerbaijan war as an example. |

Whyem15: I honestly feel Proforce isn't getting as much support as they should be getting from the military. There should be enough orders for Ara II to make sure the company is busy throughout the year. The company won't grow as fast as it should if they don't get this kind of support. The army has bought 50 vehicles from them, when you compare to Chad that has purchased 100 MRAPs, you'll see that the army's purchase is not good enough. |

bidex111: Proforce should really step up is game! Maj Gen Victor Ezugwu is really driving the Military industrial revolution, No wonder his not been transfered or moved to other military commission, which is not common in the military. For me they should concentrate on military grade vehicle. If by the next one or two years proforce can't give us MRAPs with RCWS or something new, they would have to find major client in the continent. Again I agree with this. There is another Nigerian company coming with MRAPs, they might launch this year. There's going to be considerable competition in the military vehicles sector. I just hope we see advances in the area of IFVs and ammunition. DICON DG is saying they would concentrate on ammunition development from small caliber to large calibre rounds. |

bidex111: This is goods to hear but the Army can do better. With this little numbers that means procurement has to be on regular/yearly basis. Now Proforce has to offer something different or new that will keep the NA in doing business with them, has they remain there biggest client. Proforce should be thinking of introducing MRAPs with RCWS, or something new that will keep them in the game. Any lead that Proforce had over DICON has now been eroded by a resurgent DICON. The finishing from the first Ezugwu MRAP to this latest version, you can see this latest product is export quality. |
