No Nigeria work 20hrs oga. Especially if you are single. Stop deceiving yourself. Only married people always do that. There are many catch at hand and UK people adjust strict policy when it favours them. They only thing is that Nigerians exposes alot on social media. My cousin finish building a house with 2 yra masters in UK as far back as 2010. Everybody knows this.
Currently companies don't give students more than 20hrs. Buy last year all the company I work with gave more than 20hrs. Ask yourself y? They were running short of staff and the need u. Same thing with Canada.
They work here is very difficult so students want to stick to it as well. So parents send money from Nigeria to assist them.
I don't still understand you....

You said in 2010, Nigeria UK students under student visa could build a house or make 20 miill plus up till last year...

See, lemme just ask you a simple question, how long have you been in the UK, and how many houses have you been able to build back home with your student visa ?

Inhaler that cost 5k is now 30k you're mentioning pharmacy. Large pharmaceutical companies are leaving and you're mentioning pharmacy. People like you are too small minded to see the bigger picture.
I asked you a simple question... the pharmacy in your area , how long have they been in business... I can bet my life ,if ask around your neighborhood most pharmacies there have been running for 5-10 yrs...

Some even have dia kids take over.

Once again... go and ask ... not telling us the price of inhaler

I agree with you bro but it depends. If you are young and single, u can give yourself five yrs in the UK n come bk. Most celebrities started outside the country. As a student with 2 yr student visa, he comfortably saved 20 something million and he only spent 4.5 million. Though I will work n pay off your school fees . Imagine giving you extra post study visa. Your work for 2 yrs again . I will comfortably save over 50 million . Now I will take your time and come back n do business.
What are you saying huh

You saved 20million naira plus as a student in UK doing 20hour job ?

Explain the bolded

No one can doubt this...check on your nearby pharmacy

They may be 3rd class universities, but than are much better and recognized than those things called university in Nigeria.
It a lie... tell me which school in Nigeria that the school fees is 7 million naira ... you go to cheap schs in naija , sometimes free education like (IMSU under rochas) and you complain ...

Convenant university in Nigeria is far better than lots of those mushroom 3rd class universities in the UK owned by indians and Pakistans...don't argue this.

That fees that you want to have HBp for u and ur wife would pay it off in max 3 months.

Only thing is that right now there are no jobs in the UK like that anymore.

Tinubu should allow the will of the people of Kogi State to prevail, no use of federal might to favour Yahyah Bello's candidate,

People are suffering, the yeye man is still paying salary by percentage...this is pure evil

After his tenure, he should be allowed to spend the remaining of his days in either kirikiri or kuje prison
Tinubu won't even allow a free and fair elections in a LOCAL GOVERNMENT election ... not to talk of a whole Govnorship election.

I initially assumed, you just needed someone to guide you, but I realise you already have a mind that is madeup.

Personally, I dont think you have the right mind to succeed in the uk bro. I'll advise you to try elsewhere.

Even a few weeks ago, I know of a friend's sister who came on a skilled worker visa to work in a hospital, with visa and accommodation paid for by employer.

How will someone already in the uk and with the right qualification then claim no job?

This is my last comment on your thread, not worth my time
Mumu...he came via school route ... you are comparing him with someone who came via work route , fully paid by company...

You better let this honest man tell us the truth... na people like you dey mis guide others to selling dia properties to be in overhyped youkay

I'll rather go to US on a tourist visa and start engaging in streetz than to burn 15mill and go to UK via sch route aka uncertainty route

so am not speaking just my experience. mine is fair. two people I spoke yesterday n today said nothing to even eat from yesterday to today.

I had to send some pounds to them
One thing I like about this op, is his honesty ... I swear , many Nigerians won't own up to the situations dey facing there...

Like my frnd who recently moved, at first he was always bombarding pics of himself in UK ...after a while he stopped , to even reply msgs takes time.... I need to check up on him and ask him how he's doing

Last time I saw his post on Whatsapp, he just wrote "God Abeg".... I was surprised... what are you begging God for again... you dey paradise na (UK)

Even Law abiding people without papers work in the USA. In fact the southern border is one of the weakest in the world with people flocking into the US with alacrity.
Many sheltered by Government and started up with menial jobs.
I swear down ... I was about saying same thing ... I will rather use that 15 million and travel to US with tourist or visit visa... from dere Japa mix with black Americans ... police hardly disturb for papers except you commit ...

My uncle went to USA via visit visa some years ago... today , he is well off... got married to an American citizen last year

their political class are honest.. the average man are honest. no one steals on the street. put ur bag on major street go n come u will see it there 90%.. if it get stolen then its immigrant that just came.

here in Nigeria no honesty. that means they steal, everyone coming in politics have mindset of stealing

Go and drop your bag in peckham... or even some low areas in Liverpool.... and see if your bag will remain there.

Honestly, regardless of one's wealth in Nigeria, experiencing that stuff was surreal for me. Living in a place where electricity does not blink and things work as planned. I can understand how you felt. I felt somehow as if these people were from outer space. How could they build such a functioning society where everything works? embarassed
Even in Hungary , light doesn't blink ...

The question is: what is the percentage of Nigerians who pay complete fees upfront? That is what we should consider. If out of 10 Nigerians heading to the UK via study visa, only 3 paid complete fees upfront due to the high costs involved, then it means many will find it difficult to complete their fees while being students. Let's see things from his perspective. If OP is not attending an elite university and he mentions sums like 35 million, it means LSE, Imperial fit nack 60 million and Oxbridge go reach 100 million. How many Nigerians attend those schools sef?
The funny thing is... dey attend 3rd class and wacked schools in UK... most of those wacked unis Nigerians attend in UK are even owned by indians and Pakistans

Most of those unis can't even be compared to Babcock university or convenant university on a normal day...

what i observed was the population.

you... you hardly see no Nigerians unlike Asians. in school you have to first count 50 Asians before you see a black man.

i observed that the British don't too fancy university degree so they are not much in school
In a class of 50... you will only see 6 British students ... the rest are Nigerians , indians , Pakistans etc

English people just love to drink beer and watch epl at their favourite Team stadiums

That why , in old Trafford, you hardly see a black man in the stance... they are busy working to pay sch fees ...lol

Samantha124:
Maybe if you guys were married, your relatives were still going to give you the same respect they were giving to your father because there's this respect that Africans tend to have for married couples even when they're younger.

My paternal grandparents were one of the royal leaders in the village... Even though they're not from any royal family, their friendship with the royal family was too deep and they were inseparable, when my grandfather passed away, my father was asked to come and take over the position... At first he wasn't sure about it because he doesn't live in the village anymore even though it's just a few hours drive, but he eventually accepted and he let them know that he wouldn't always be available, they understood.

When my grandmother passed away, my mom was also asked to come and take over, she'd travel to the village every now and then... And we still get invitations from our close and distant relatives, but I doubt my father was going to be treated with the same respect if he was not married.

Because even elders who are not married are not taken seriously by anyone... My uncle used to be disrespected all the time by other men before he got married to a point that he even stopped attending family events... But immediately he got married, people everywhere started to respect him.
Shut up your mouth, married or single , if you have money and well to do ,you will be respected in this part of the world, even your village king or eshi will give you your maximum respect.

Being married doesn't have anything to do with respect, I've seen married men who family members don't care about coz he's not doing well, he is always the last to get invited for any family function
