But like seriously, why is BMF not so popular especially here in naija.... like damn... that series is just too dope ... is it bad PR or wat ?

Infact I stumbled upon BMF series , coz I heard Rick ross song BMF was based on a true life event of a drug dealer "Big meech"...that led to me finding about the documentary and the series itself.

So basically, I just stumbled on it by chance ... no one referred me

I have come to the conclusion that the amount of sense\wisdom in West Africa is far greater and incomparable to what you have in other parts of Africa, the only difference is that the small sense these other parts have is always channeled to develop their place while we use the greater sense we have in the western part to oppress, kill and steal from our people angry sad embarassed

There are about 64 derica in one 50kg bag rice.

64 * 12,000 bags, then divide by 3m residents, that equals to approximately 4 derica of rice for each resident.

Okay na.

Correction: it’s actually 4 people to one derica. That is to say, one person gets a milk cup of rice.

Imagine. It’s very sad.
Our leaders are bastardds !!!

I pray misfortune will jam dia way, I pray dia kids die , I pray they don't ever live long ...

1.3 million barrels x 100 USD per barrel = $130 million a day (assuming we can meet that production goal and buyer is ready for the oil)

Nigeria is 220 million people === share 130 million dollars to 220 million people is $0.59 which is 59 cents per person

0.59 x N1,100 [$1/ N1,100] = N649 NAIRA ONLY

Boy. NIGERIA is a poor country because na N649 go reach everybody hand every day IF the proceeds of oil is shared to everyone
Nobody can tell the exact amount they produce... Government lies too much

Every dime America govt donates to us for aid should also be shared

You’ve just proffered a solution better than anything Tinubu has been offering. You’ve just solved a part of the economic crisis actually.

The thing about paying citizens I.e unemployment benefit is that it’s usually not enough to even make one get by and so it forces MOST to eventually get a job. In Nigeria, this can help solve the general panic and at the same time still ginger the workforce. As a young guy, seeing my gs riding Benz is enough for me to not rely on N20k so I go out to work.

But the fact that we’re not even getting any benefits at all means they’re after our lives. They want everybody to panic like cavemen hustle for jobs, including those that actually don’t want to work and would have been satisfied with the 20k will heap on the pressure.
Spot on !!!

This solution will even reduce crime rate and election violence...think of it...if citizens were paid from the national wealth... who would want to risk his life for 3k snatching ballot box ?

if Nigeria can adopt this Dubai style of paying dia citizens from the common wealth of the nation, we won't even complain about government again

Simple as ,once they sell the oil daily, bring the money share it to the population of ages above 18

Guys ,,, see this thing... if you divide 26 trillion naira by our population (200 mill), it will give us 130,000 naira

Meaning Nigeria can afford to pay it citizens 130k daily

Nigeria makes over $154 million from crude oil daily

Why can't we just be paying our citizens 130k daily , coz all these money Govt claim dey are spending is not impacting on our lives at all

Dubai pays it citizens money for just being a citizen... too much oil money

Imagine Nigerians receiving 130,000 daily... there will be a massive Japa syndrome from UK back to NIGERIA.

Like seriously, citizens won't even complain again...it is our common wealth, just pay us the population our own share after selling our oil daily

People go overseas and also come back empty handed... there are also people who left UK for Nigeria to become very successful and rich...them plenty eg Naira Marley, even davido self (he was born in Atlanta but Nigeria made him super rich)

For those working and earning 2M and above, it no longer makes sense.

Some people who were earning large in Naija 10-12 yrs ago, like the oil boys have seen their Naira earnings increase but the real value decreased geometrically.

Imagine if you were earning 1.65M per annum in 2011, that was $10,000, but today even if you got promoted 3 times and are now earning say 4M/year, that is now $ 3,333. You have essentially lost 70% of your earnings. Same is happening to pensions. By the time you retire, your pension contributions would be worthless.

Ok, if you were earning 700,000 a month in May 28th that was $1,000, but in 4 months that is $583.
Shut up your smelling mouth... earning 2 million naira monthly in Nigeria is far better if you live responsibly ...

God help you , make you get small flu or sickness for UK, you go know say medical bill alone fit swallow your savings.

that your friend 2.7 m (in dollars) 2014 is now worth 13m black market rate.

So you see he will buy the car now in 2023 and even have more than enough change to spare to play with that is enough to conveniently buy another same car.

As u can see, Saving in $ is very wise and earning in $ more wiser
Back in. 2013/14, you could get this car for 2.6 or 2.7 (around that range)

Today , look at the price car dealers are putting ... inflation na vibes killer

He had 2.7 mill naira to buy Lexus in 2014, if he had saved that 2.7 mill naira in dollars and leave it ... it would be like 6.6 mill naira today in 2023

Still arguing about a very clear issue. 🙄 I had this same discussion on another thread with someone claiming that investing in Nigerian real estate is better than saving in dollars.

Now you're making fun of "salary earners". Again very elementary things...

1) Business owners and investors also have savings accounts, even LONG TERM savings accounts. I'm sure even Bill Gates and Aliko Dangote have some savings.

2) As I wrote on this thread
https://www.nairaland.com/7772322/japa-worth-it/15#125548332
saving in dollars is the basic MINIMUM that anyone should do. Even doing that BASIC LEVEL of saving still puts you ahead of anyone saving in naira. The situation goes off the charts when you INVEST the dollars in USA assets. That's what many people do including businessmen...they invest for the long term as a form of pension!

Do you also want to argue about the relative returns of USA based assets compared to Nigeria based assets? Even Dangote is moving assets to the USA to escape the stagnant Nigerian economy

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-01-09/africa-s-richest-man-plans-u-s-office-to-help-diversify-wealth

Are you smarter than Dangote❗️❓️❗️

You're just wrong. Sorry 😞

It's terrible trying to have a logical discussion with most Nigerians. 😕 A very special people indeed.

Enjoy your country😉 thank goodness I can't be there with you 😅
