Crafteck1: Whats not to congratulate... What is the standard of living therr compared to here? What is the monthly income, : expenditure ratio
Expenses in Nigeria no much oo compared to that side
I use prepaid meter ...my NEPA bill no dey pass 2k monthly
I stay in a spacious one bedroom flat in Aguda , surulere 400k per year... very spacious That about 30k naira per month
I do my cooking , budget of 30-40k for foodstuffs monthly, sometimes e nor dey reach
Lastly Nobody dey disturb me for TAX for dis Nigeria...lmoa
I own a 3 bet9ja shops and a game lounge. Both business fetch me about 2 million monthly...I hardly step out except evenings just to check on some of my shops... except that... I just play FIFA all day online.
If you earn well here or manage to break even, just dey enjoy naija dey go, coz trust me things are quite cheap here ...I've got a sis in UK there, Scotland to be precise... it ain't all rosy.
richempire1: Pls where can I see the site work? do you think they can employ women? if yes, I'm very much interested. My kids has been at home since last term while school is going on. This country is becoming something else. so,I don't mind doing the site job.
What of your husband...how did you born those kids... what were you doing before
I'm sure you didn't just bring kids to this world while jobless
sheeda995: I know many graduates and masters holders not earning anything. I know many with Npower Jon earning 30k. Me myself,I earn 30k alawi, You are crazyyyy
There are jobless people too overseas
I'm talking of , do you know any graduate currently working in a company and earning 30k monthly
Even local government council , no one with uni degree earns 30k
Chiffy: First of all, you sound like one coming from a background of privileges. So your circle will be a circle of people with the same background. Step out of your circle and do your findings.
Secondly, you don't have to lie to support your point. 150k -180k as entry-level I have people in Federal Govt jobs, who have worked for over 10 years, and barely make between 120 - 150k as salary. Then I recommend you research (as in, actually make calls or ask people people outside your circle) on how much is earned monthly by the majority of state govt workers outside Lagos and FCT, or even professionals like lawyers and accountants and then semi-skilled workers like factory workers and hotel staff Even in Lagos 50-70k is still a cap for many semi-skilled workers
Do you know any graduate currently in a organisation or company working and earning 30k monthly
motymop: Employers here in Nigeria do not pay per hour, also in the UK they do not give you cash per hours, per hour is just a rate for your time work so as to calculate your monthly income. Most of the time, in these type of jobs, the average hourly pay has to be at least the National Minimum Wage.
just because an employer is willing to pay you 10 pounds per hour does not mean when you are given your monthly paycheck, it will be enough to cover your living cost that is because 10 pounds is the minimum wage for time work.
the same person earning 10 pounds per hours which is minimum wage in the UK his counterpart in Nigeria which is 30k per month cant enjoy the good things of life. both of these individuals are struggling in the different countries they live in.
This post makes sense... but can I ask you a question... Do you have or know anyone who is a graduate that earns #30,000 monthly
Coz I don't know anyone who earns that amount monthly ... except secondary school cert holder maybe
Coz even level entry salary of most Govt agencies na from 150-180k UpTo 300k (NNPC)
Chiffy: Is it that you don't have sense at all or you sacrificed your brain just as your fellow agbadorians did
By UK's law, the minnimum wage is £10 per hour. Hence, a person working 8 hours per day for 4 weeks would earn at least £1,600 at the end of the month i.e. about #2,000,000 in today's exchange rate. Whereas in Nigeria, for the same length of work hours, Nigerian law can only provide you with N30,000 per month, that is not even a guaranty
Despite, the huge difference in pay gap, commodity in Nigeria is virtually almost as expensive as the UK. Yet, you are here writing rubbish. Anyways, as I suspected; you have sacrificed your brain as food for your criminal master, Thief Tinubu.
Funny when people say this 30k thing in Nigeria...
I don't have anyone in my circle earning just 30k monthly...even in most Government agencies ... entry level salary na 150-180k
iramure: It amazes me to the bone marrow how these faith-fools continue to allow one pastor to fool them.
Christians in Africa have always been mumu from the inception.
Let me make a confession that happened years ago , me and some friends went for one large night crusade in an open field...
We acted and dressed like ushers , because it was night , no one noticed us... we went to a section of Crowd at the back with basket collecting dia money (offerings)...
Normally offerings start from the front , then gradually moves to the back , before the main ushers came to the back...we carted away with offerings we collected already.
Till today, I feel good about it , no regrets ... we counted about 42,500 that day.
Christians are gullible, since we can't be a pastor, we found another way to cart away with dia money
Blitzking: A young man was returned abroad hoping to see a house his brother who he trusted cos of blood ties has been using his money to enjoys..hs instruction " build me a house in lagos" this brother used the money too building a block of flat for himself and claimed he built his brothers house in the village. Onetime I av realised is when u begin to have money ur time is gone u need trusted ppl to help you carry out some task. You don't want family member who assume you have and are out to milk u by padding every purchase they make on ur behalf...hopefully you are not among such siblings.
I don't understand this your crap story and how it relates to the topic...
Mikel stayed over 15 years in England and couldn't think of migrating his siblings overseas even after his father was kidnapped twice ...
I'm close to ihenacho's family in imo state , I can tell you for free , man has not only set up his siblings for life , but his siblings can actually afford to go overseas and even hustle for themselves if they want to.
I don't know what went wrong in mikel's case but truth be told , if you've got a footballer in your family playing for a big club , you fit no work again till you kpai.... that money is something else
sorepco: Yeah true talk indeed. I blame some of these abroad guys. If a family member comes to u for aid and you are abroad. Just ask them what they want to do and set them up in that field so that they can take care of their families. If you keep giving them money you are part of the problem. They will see you as a cash cow. If bizness set them up by financing the project after looking at the bizness plan!
Thank you my brother for this lovely advice...
That why I dislike my uncle for several years, man was only okay giving me and my siblings $100 every December Christmas when he comes back from US...
Whenever I bring up the idea of me wanting to move on overseas to hustle , he shuns the idea...
How can someone be comfortable with people just begging them , when you can just decide to set them up to be industrious themselves.
I've seen apprentice who later became even more successful than dia master eg Banky W n wizkid.
Wizkid will always be grateful to banky for setting him up for success for life.
Why can't my uncle do same He just prefer us begging him for crumbs ...smh.
I've cut all ties with him, if my siblings like , they can still be licking his bum for $100 every Christmas...no longer interested.
If you wanna help, help .
Note: I'm talking of someone who has lived in US for over 20yrs ,he is an American citizen, he has his own clinic in US today.
vickydevoka: You can only grow someone willing to grow. When Mikel open up MMM record for his younger brother what happened. He's younger brother was busy showing up in Lagos buying VIP seats up and down. He opened businesses for all his brothers all failed aside the parents business that's still functioning. He is paying private security for his father o. Omo billing wan finish Mikel abeg. He is talking out of pain.
So ,close to 20 years mikel stayed in England, common sense didn't tell him to help relocate some family members abroad, even if na one of him brother with all the money he was earning then.
Even Luis Diaz that joined Liverpool which day, hass started making plans to move his family over to UK
Blitzking: I am not against supporting family member but how do u cope if u are from a family where ur parents decides to give birth to 13 children with little or no education and u are the mikel of that family and out of those children u av hook up gals...cultists...drunkards...drug dealers...the hook up gal contracts an incurable disease they start calling brother the mother develops high BP cos of the children they start calling brother...the cultist is maimed and in the hands of police he no only has a case but also needs medical attention.. one of the girls suddenly gets pregnant for a riff-raff and always calling for food...school fees and all..the drunkard has damaged his liver and is down with alcoholic hepatitis and they are calling brother..he has been told many times that they want to open this or that and he has given them money to rent shop but they closed the shop down and assembled in his house cos they want to wake up and be fed 3 times daily enjoying the cool breeze of the sea side. They don't love you they want to bring you down and kill u b4 ur time.
Are you talking from experience ?
Were you earning up to 500 million naira per week as Mikel was earning during his prime .
MasterTeeUSA: Why would anyone want to withdraw and carry cash.? This is how we spread terrorism. .do transfers if your transactions are legit ...geeshh...it's even dangerous. See how Ogun Accountant was killed and cash stolen
God bless you ...only a fool carries heavy cash carelessly now...
If I close shop like this...any money wey dey my hand na to deposit straight...why should I be carrying let's say sales of 100k cash and be going home ...
Some Nigerians like inviting trouble to themselves, they've made things so easy for you to the point , you don't even need to walk to a bank to open account...
One can open acct via opay or moniepoint, still receive ATM card... Nigerians like doing themselves honestly
bjtinz: But the issue still remains why the excessive thirst for cash? Why can't people just use mobile or e-platforms??
Yes, it's your money, but cashless is the way to go in line with best practices globally.
For instance I can't understand what someone is doing with 200k in cash
I swear down... This people clamouring for raw cash are very dumb
Who needs raw cash of 200k in pocket... doesn't make any sense ..even mama put dey collect transfer.
I don't even understand these set of Nigerians needing raw cash ... except say you be politician and you have people always at your door begging for alms ...you might need raw cash
Yugoslavia247: Some people no just get sense saying must you do cash.
So if you be engr for site and you call labourers from Benin republic you go transfer give them?
Why must access to cash be restricted?
What stupid policy?
There 1001 things money can do but with cash. Not everyone collect transfers.
There are some shops that sell goods and refuse transfer especially petty traders. If you need money to give your children to school you will do transfer.
If you wan pay bike man, you will do transfer.
Una don mad all in the name of political support
Bro...stop this ...and be honest ... when last did you buy a commodity of let's say 50k, and the seller forced you to pay cash
Even , some mama put dey collect transfer of #400 , beans 200 bread 200.
Cashless and transfer is the way of life now, let embrace this new level.
Except from danfo and transport level, I hardly need raw cash... no sane business man or woman who sells goods worth of 5k won't accept transfer or have POS in dia shop
Yusufisraelj: I went to the ATM to withdraw only to be told this limit thing, I went to POS, life no hard.
It's not emefiele era, government is trying to manage inflation, artificially.
I'm surprised to hear you even went to NORMAL ATM....I can't remember last time I visited my bank ATM for cash...it either POS people or I just pay for whatever I need via transfer.
Discussion about cash is not meant for 30k agb ado earners like you, find your square.
Back to the post, some days ago I went to the bank to make deposit, omoh come see as some people dey swarm around me like wetin I no know. They were begging to transfer money to me and get the cash from me, e come be like say another cashless era wan enter.
You are dumb , very dumb... I still maintain the stance of "I don't need much cash at hand" coz I purchase almost everything with transfer or my card.
That why,I after I close shop for the day, I'm always eager to deposit any cash with me via POS , den just leave chicken change with me.
I don't see the need carrying cash up and down, if I wanna pay for a PS5 , I pay via transfer, if I wanna buy a new phone , I pay via transfer... I don't see the need for raw cash
Except you are doing pos business , you may need cash all the time ... na POS people like you dey full bank nowadays
Truth be told...who needs 100k cash to be carrying up and down...ask yourself...when last did you really have to hold 10k cash at hand.... almost everything in this life today can be paid via transfer except transport (danfo)
Can't remember the last time I held 20k cash in pocket for nothing...makes no sense... even when I want to withdraw it usually just around. 5k , maybe for suya or transport something
Ballzproblem2: call it evil or whatever you like IDC.
my main reason is not because Im afraid they'll pass me financially,I just know 99% of them won't do the same for me if they were in my shoes.
I don't want to be taken advantage of,guy forget I go help you stand but na you go use your hand walk
You and your friends need deliverance ... na bunch of nonsense you dey roll with.
I made my first million thru an update my friend disclosed to me that year... this guy literally taught how to fish and took me out of the trenches...till today I still regard am as my best bro...
There's this saying I saw one time
We have Rich relatives , but we are helped by friends wey get heart
Akano5: he is likely afraid of being paid back with evil which is not always the case sometimes... so God has opened way for them -- good for them....
Nothing like being paid with evil here...
That man just wanted all the pies and praises to himself , he just loved the fact anything involving the family must go thru him first coz he was the most buoyant...
Coz I can't explain the jealousy he's having after hearing other members got VISA to go abroad... instead he's busy asking how they managed to do it , asking how come no one told him about it during the process BLA BLA BLA .
Yes, no one told him , coz he's fond of discouraging people to travel instead he will send cars to Nigeria, tell you to sell it and remmit the money to him... then find you lil crumbs or he will tell you to go supervise the house he's building...that man doesnt want anyone to get bigger than him in the family...period.
try to elevate person,I no fit open business for friend it might sound evil but it is what it's is ,I will help you to some extent but not fully so that I won't regret it in future.
. Another thing no dey disclose your finances to anybody including your family.
be selfish with your resources, trust me 99% of people you are lending won't do the same for you.
Be all about your self-interest
You go dey evil for real life o !
So you prefer giving crumbs to frnds as against showing them how to fish...you don't want them to pass you financially...smh
This is exactly what my dad's brother in US loves doing...he prefers other family members coming to beg him for crumbs
But will never help anyone to be fully financial Independent ...he loves them at his feet.
The day he heard two of our family members have gotten visa to go abroad, he was furious..he knows that might be a game changer...very callous human being.

Zooposki: Almost a billion dollars everyday. That is about $365 billion dollars a year and we are called the poverty capital of the world? Make it make sense.
Even Nigeria as a country don't make $1 billion everyday
lavylilly: Savings, business is not for the faint hearted especially in Nigeria, you have to be dogged, determined, rugged and rough otherwise them go run you street
Not all be savings ..Many got it from inheritance... many served Master before being settled to do dias...
How many many people can save millions from 100k job
