baybiemee: @ Rukemi291, u will surely know when d time comes, it may start with very little pain in Ur waist, like a pinch. Then d pain increases over time. Ur water may just break too, or u see show.I'll start next month too, meanwhile I can't stand fruits oh, at all, i wish I could coz its healthy, then i want to start eating anyhow now coz i dnt want small baby oh, I weigh 80kg now, I weighed 86 before pregnancy, morning sickness made me loose all the weight, and I think I added only 1kg so far, just wondering how my weight affects babies, considering I'm having twins. |
Bludeville: It is actually the only thing that has a little backing scientifically . Sperm has been proven to contain prostaglandins ( cytotec that is used to induce contains misoprostol which is a prostaglandin) also when a woman orgazzms, her uterus contracts and there is a release of oxytocins, all this could bring on labour. So thats the idea.Congrats Bludeville, God is good. January mama's, have u started ur countdown, we r getting closer and I'm getting impatient. |
Bludeville: First my water has broken, then i have seen my "show". No contractions yet, I'm on my way to the hospitalMadam, how you dey oh? |
Bludeville: First my water has broken, then i have seen my "show". No contractions yet, I'm on my way to the hospitalBluedeville, Awwwww congrats in advance, the Lord will be with you in Jesus Name, i await your story darling. Have a swift and easy delivery. Amen. |
Hummingbird: @sam,I tink @30weeks,you shd be on leave already...about d waist pain n al sort..its normal, just use d painkilers u were given...Nothing scares me more than this word( twins come faster than expected) lol. @sam, sorry oh, try and minimize your computer activities to see if the lessens the pain, if it's that bad, you can visit any big pharmacy around you, they have this thing they use for.people that have that wrist thingy, it's like a glove, it's eases the pain, I dnt know where u can get it though, but pharmacy should be able to direct you. My January mama's, how r u all doing, we r getting there oh, small small, make Nov do end To all the Nov and Dec mama's, God be with you, and grant you easy and swift delivery.Amen, |
maran1983: Mothers and fathers in the house, there's a meningitis campaign presently going on in the FCT (I don't know of other states). Please, let's endeavour to take our kids and wards to the hospital for the immunization, it's for ages 1-29. Nursing mothers and pregnant mothers below 29 years can take it too. Thanks alot Maran, and I was arguing with my mum that pregnant women can't take it. Lol |
Bludeville: was just reading my older post and had to laugh at myself. it's easy to give advice when it's not your turn, Kai!. Bluedeville, no worry very soon, baby go come, u don already give am quit notice, wish you a safe and swift delivery.Amen |
honey86: 34 weeks by air is better. Naija road is not the best with all the potholes and maneuvering. Apart from the possibility that all the bangs here and there could bring about premature labour, you are going to feel lightheaded and could start vomiting. pls if you can afford it pls go by air. By the way, I flew at 33 weeks and was allowed on board however with a doctors report but in your case flying at 34 weeks with twins would be tricky. Just find out and see if you can leave earlier.Yeah Honey, I'll go by air at 34weeks, our nija roads are not friendly, thanks dear |
esmeralda1: I travelled by road for over 4hours last wk monday, another 3 hours on tuesday worked very tiredly on d same day, travelled back by road on wednesday a journey of over 6hours, I tried to rest well on thursday, wEnt to hospital on friday my bp was high, I still tried to relax, on saturday but I had to go to a function of about 4hours to and fro, on sunday I had a great hot s*xMorning Esmeralda, I can imagine how stressful dat must have been, seeing blood ain't funny oh, I've been resting since oh, I hardly stress myself, so i think I'll just do the trip by air, which will be less stressful and rest as much as possible afterwards, but i will go at 34wks sha, can't go b4 dat. |
Hummingbird: I drov frm kaduna to Akure to n fro I think @26weeks...den I travld by air frm kd to lagos @32weeks...No be small thing oh, the kick no be joke oh. I love it though. |
Hummingbird: my two cozins went tru al dis, though one ad triplets wen d scan was showing twins..... I guess the word is rest as much as I can b4 I take my trip at 34weeks, but do u think air or road is better for me at that stage, then hummingbird when u were pregnant, did you know which of ur twins was kicking, we're u able to tell which of them the kicks were coming from. |
joilin: @kaf cakes If ur mind is settled going tru cs pls just go ahead i heard its no longer as bad as it used to be. For me even if is in my dream am sure my spirit shud b able to say no to cs unless its d last option. I reject cs and episiotomy in this thread IJN Amen. This pregnancy is doing my skin so much good. Only shea butter and yet my skin is so light i hope it continues to be so even after deliveryMy sister my mind is not set on any thing oh, im leaving it up to God, I'm also open minded and very willing to listen to my doctors, I had a friend who insisted on natural delivery, in fact she always used to reject the word cs, on.delivery day, she tried pushing and pushing but nothing. She insisted that she must have the baby vaginally, finally after much ado, and nothing, she had to have emergency cs, coz the baby became distressed, when they brought the baby out, the cord was seriously tied around her neck, not our portion oh, but most docs here r just saying cs, I guess it's coz its twins but baba God knows best. |
kaf cakes: Byvan, im going thru them now, shuttling btw there and here now, lol, thanks sweetsThe funny thing and most annoying thing that can happen is, after delivering one naturally, u now have to have a cs for the second one, dats double pains, gush it's better the person just opts for cs from the very beginning. |
byvan: Kaf cakes, did you go through the links I sent you?Byvan, im going thru them now, shuttling btw there and here now, lol, thanks sweets |
uwani: Hello preggymates, how body and hows our lo's kicking? my people for the past one week I have been having problem sleeping at night, no matter how early or late I sleep, I find myself wide awake by 2.30-3 amUwani, hahaha ur welcome to the club, me I find my self awake from 12 then maybe till 3am, it's so annoying, I just stay in bed thinking about my babies and when they will come, it's well my sis, this too shall pass soon oh, im 27wks + |
I favored gal: blendy had elective surgery @37 weeksThanks love, I'll ask them. |
Hummingbird: I had my boys @34weeks plus..having twins tru d vag.ina can be really stressful,al dos big hands checkin fr dilation...I had epistomy n d babies teared it up d more again...If I am 2av twins again nw,I wil opt for an electiv cs..Hummingbird, thanks a lot love, how r the boys doing and ur new lo in the oven, hope ur feeling stronger, I intended to opt for elective CS, but the way my mum frowns or rejects it, is as if I'm doing sth bad, but i guess dats their mentality, lol, me I will jejely opt for it as from my research it's less stressful for me and babies, meanwhile I intend to travel for about an hour by air or 9hours by road, when I'm 34weeks, how safe do u think this is, plus did labour just a start at 34week for you, as I'm trying to be careful. |
Hello ladies, pls for those of you who have had twins, did u have elective CS or vaginal delivery, what do u think is the best option, cs or vaginal birth? |
honey86: @kaf cakes, maybe you should try getting a maternity u-pillow. I saw one for 15k at the odua shopping mall in dugbe where shoprite is. Truth is that its not so easy now to find a comfortable sleeping position, baby is getting bigger and taking more space. May God help us all.Ok, thanks alot, I'll get someone to check it out, but is it the long one for the whole body or the short one. |
Thanks Esmeralda and Udoka, God bless you ladies for your input, I slept on the mat yesterday night, but i swear it was terrible oh, it gave me general body pains, but eased the waist pain a bit, I have to try and manage for now, or I'll go get those small mattresses the orthopedic ones, maybe dat will help alot, but like you mentioned, it might. Not be the mattress, looking forward to January seriously, thank God all the same. |
Hi my people, I am 27weeks and experiencing serious sleepless nights once again, but this time as a result if waist pain, I dnt even know what to do, and my soft mattress is not helping issues, should I try sleeping on the mat on the floor, coz i don tire oh. |

Blendy77: Georges is good but unneccessarily expensive. I gave birth to my boys at 37 weeks through elective CS. Desperation and anxiety didnt allow me wait for labour so my Dr was able to manage and talk me into waiting till 37wks. Georges standard and facilities can be compared to any good hospital you'll find in the US and UK as the MD, Dr Iketunbosun worked in the UK for a long time before relocating to Naija and he attends to most of his patients himself so you can be sure of the best. If you're expecting multiples and planning for CS, be ready to spend a little over N1m and about 550-700k for singleton normal delivery. Their rooms are from 25k shared to 40k private room. Its a good pick if ur organization is footing the bills. Reddington is equally good from what I heard though I havent had any biz with them. Most of my write up is on the IVF thread.Okay, Thanks alot Blendy ![]() |
Tobiegal:

Thanks a lot for the reply, georges seems nice. |
Blendy77: My Sister take ur baby to the hospital. I experienced exactly same thing last week and mine turned out to be measles. Though I have no idea if a 5m old can contact measles at that early age sha but then my own baby was not up to 9m before contacting it and we were actually waiting for 9m to immunize them. His twin brother was immunized today but we can't rule out his contacting it as he hasn't shown any symptoms yet.Hi blendy, I've read your story on this thread for a while now,,but i didn't see your birth story, I know u had ur lovely babies at georges, plz I wanted to find out, how the birth experience was and how many weeks were you when you welcomed them, I'm comparing georges or reddington, so i just wanted to know, thanks, waiting for ur reply. |
favored gal: @kaf...email blendy she had her twins at georges or search for her birth storyThanks sweet, I will check for her story |

, Pls is anyone experiencing(ed) this? I am presently in my 29th week.
