Hi, good day, I've been a silent reader,,Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far, please I have a few things I'll want to clarify, I applied for a visa 3 months back and it was approved, currently just found out that I'm pregnant, I had a baby 6 months ago I'm the us via cs, this wasn't planned as I was doing exclusive, now hubby and I have decided to keep the baby and have it in canada, though the visa we got was visiting visa, do i need to visit first bedore going back for birth purposes or can I just go when I'm ready since I don't have a medical visa, one of the reasons who made this decision is the risk involved since I just had a care, kindly advice on the route to take..

Hi dear, Welcome
So far no other hospital, only doctor F, others are ridiculously expensive. I have started my Anc there and made payments.

Anchola:
Hello Kafcakes, pls which hospital did you finally settle for. I'm in New Jersey and I'm scheduled to see Dr. F using St Mary's.
Just wondering if there are other/better deals.

There is no need to go for a fresh application, you don't need it, your b1/b2 covers medicals, all u need to do is send a letter to the embassy about ur intention, even though most people are of the opinion that this letter is irrelevant and doesn't add any credit to your future application, but some people have shared how this same letter made poe easier, so the choice is your,
just have all your documents(you would know them by reading though post here) good luck.

Okoloba:
Hi Friends,
New on this great group.I kindly need advice. My wife and I just renewed our B1/B2 visas via drop box and have decided to go for childbirth. We have all the correspondences with the doctor which we obtained after the visa was issued and will receive a formal acceptance letter from the doctor after he would have received from our Nigerian doctor DW's medical history. We intend to pay our medical bills on receipt of the invoice from the doctor before travelling out.Accommodation is settled. However in view of the repeated counsel on this group that it is preferable to have a medical visa for birthing we are thinking of making a fresh visa application for a medical visa but the interview date may well be after our intended date of travel and DH maybe ineligible to travel due to closeness to EDD. It is said that an interview date may be expedited with genuine reasons? The alternative is to as some of us have done send change of intent letter before trip ,tell the truth at POE with all burden of proof and expect a favourable discretionary entry.
Kindly advise.
Thank you
I hasten to add that DH n DW both work in Nigeria n have sufficient ties to the country with other kids.

That's not what the story said, they said she travelled a week to her edd, so I'm guessing 38/39weeks...You are still very right though.
mamaron:

If pregnancy is low risk and all goes well...no issues...but no privacy sha ...imagine groaning in a plane full of people! shocked

She may still have some bills...ambulance to get her from airport to nearest hospital....and maybe a doctor to have a look at her and baby...

Money aside, thank God all went well...what if there was an emergency...

It's possible she travelled before 36 weeks and baby just came early....hhmmm....may God keep all mamas on their journeys and give us all safe delivery.

Hi ICAN, I am,new Jersey bound God willing, please I would like to know how your DW experience was with Fr Fares and what hospital she used, and if possible break down of the cost of the hospital.

Im currently searching for accommodation, please do you have any recommendations aside air bnb..which did your wife use, pls send me your email address,
if possible, mine is frel822002@yahoo.com.Thank you very much..

ICANOFFICE:
My DW is in Ney Jersey. The nearest Passport Agency is New York.

she can't travel with the baby without a US passport. ETC is to enable the child enter Nigeria just like the Nigerian passport.
US passport can be obtained same day if she walks into the passport office with her flight ticket after booking an appointment via phone. Also, you can process the US passport without SSN
What city is your wife?

Thanks to everyone, for ur advice and all, I am indeed grateful, i saw my doc today and apparently, he doesn't want to deliver my babies till 38wks, so he wants me on bed rest for the next 2weeks,coz of the Braxton hicks that are frequent and intense and the cerclage, so the.bed rest will minimize the Braxton hicks and that will further delay labour, hubby declined the hospital bed rest, and said I'll do it at home, but the doc said I shld try it and if I notice I'm not actually resting I shld come back to the hospital. Apparently so far so good, I've failed at it, i just can't imagine myself in one place at home, it might work better in the hospital, that aside I have this funny pain that comes and goes in my bu*m and thi*gh area and when it happens I can't walk anymore, and if I attempt to force it, I'll almost fall, until it goes away and morning sickness is annoying me, especially in the mornings, and I can't walk well anymore, it's painful to actually walk, i was looking forward to the next week, but i bet it's for the better, these days seem so long

@Sennykenny you are with the baton coz I'm 35weeks and ur 38weeks, and my goal na 38weeks, the Lord Is ur strength luv.

Tchiwinnie, byvan, princess, sinnie, hummingbird, all the new comers, udoka, tolu, tobiegal, and the remaining mama's, Feb mama, how all of una dey, feb mamas no worry, once ur countdown time reach na me go tell u and give you go ahead, u can't pass me lie lie, so chill out, lol,
One love sisters

I'm now @ home to clean my house and get something ready b4 d normal contraction

I haven't had the chance to read every post, I'm so tired and having headache, been having some mild morning sickness, even threw up this morning, but I'll catch up soon, Congrats sinnie, our God is a Convenant Keeping God, we r thankfully for ur miracle.

Then update on my hospital Waka, i got to to the hospital today with no anxiety whatsoever, i want even scared, but lo and behold my doc thought I was 36+, instead of 35+, he planned to admit me, so to cut long story short, he said next week when I'm 36 weeks and 2days, he will take out the stitch and if I dnt go into labour he will either induce me 3days after and then I'll be 36 weeks 5days, so that's the plan, I didn't argue because part of me is tired and he is also travelling when last week of 3rd week of January when I'll be 38wkss and if I were to go into labour he won't be around to deliver my babies, and I can't imagine dealing with a strange doctor, my hubby thinks he is rushing me cos he is travelling, but frankly I can't even see it coz I'm blinded by tiredness and I like the offer. What do u pple think?

byvan: Kafcakes adhere to your Docs instruction.

Byvan no be my fault oh, I no ready deliver at 35wks, i read that labour can start after the removal, so i wanted to tell him to postpone it to Saturday then I'll be 36wks on the dot, so if labour follows, it will be btw 36-37 wks, instead of 35-36wks, dats why I dey ask.
