From this and many other scriptures, we can deduce that God is against the idea of acting based on grudges. In interpersonal relationships between His people God wants pure transparent actions that are coloured by the actions and reactions of others. God wants us to do good, to do what is right to the good and to the bad alike.
God wants us to do right regardless of outside influences. We must endeavor to do this as this glorifies God.

Dear Followers of Christ
There is an altar for every person.
An altar is a place of power, a place of authority, a place of protection, a place of covering. As far as a person is under an altar that person will be a difficult kill.
One thing to note is that not every altar is for everybody, there is still an issue of compatibility.
The devil knows this, that is why there is so much manipulation to take people away from their God ordained altars, to places that are incompatible with them. This doesn't necessarily mean the altars are bad or satanic. Maybe your problem was one of deliverance from strongholds, you can't decide to leave Moses and follow Elijah. Both are powerful men used mightily by God, but for different purposes.
If you leave your altar, the devil will be able to much more easily get to you. This is his aim in the lives of many and that is why strife and contention between Leaders and followers on Churches today is so rife.
May God open our eyes and keep us away from harm.

Many times, we as believers of God and followers of Christ, we find ourselves so "used" to God, maybe due to His grace and or immense love, we tend to treat Him with levity and laxity, we take Him casually. We tend to forget that the same God who killed the firstborn of the Egyptians for the sake of the Israelites is the same God who killed almost all members of the initial Israelites generation that came out of Egypt.
No one who takes God for granted, who treats Him with casualty ever goes scot-free, mark my words!
If You are a perpetrator with all sincerity I urge You; desist from it and turn a new leaf. If you are sincere God will definitely have mercy.

Today's can be seen as a sequel to yesterday's message. We have acknowledged the fact that everyone needs a helper, but does that mean that anyone fits the bill? Especially when it comes to special circumstances like that of Moses and the Children of Israel in today's scripture.
Yes we understand that Man proposes but God opposes, that doesn't and shouldn't stop a person from making plans. Heaven helps those who help themselves, that if what a popular adage says.
From the passage, some qualifications can be deduced "Able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness". These were excellent guidelines for the position of aide Moses wanted. Yours might be different, but don't just go around aimlessly hoping for any random trash to show up and help, it's possibly but still, make a plan.

No matter how great you are, there are some points in your life, some tasks to undertake that you can't do without helpers.
It is my prayer that God sends helpers to each and everyone of us at due time.

In many ways whenever we grumble against a divine instituted authority, we grumble directly against God. In fact, many of the things we do against leaders are actually against God and the just reward shall surely come.

Sometimes I'm confused at the mind of God. After the Red Sea, the children of Israel were probably expecting smooth sails to the promised land. But God's plan differed.
People say the blessing of God maketh rich and added no sorrow. I don't disagree, but many people think of blessings as a destination, it is a journey, a process, many times the blessings we receive from God seem like vicious and heartless curses. The training a world class body builder receives can make many cry even in their sleep and take it as cruel punishment, but those who know the value realize, that an immense opportunity has been presented.
And many times that is the case, the trainees don't realize the value of the training they receive that is why they respond wrongly.
As a follower of Christ, learn to see the good, the lesson to be learnt from every situation, good or seemingly bad. Trust in God, He has a plan.

One thing I have deduced from the above scripture is that before God gives a command, He has already made provisions for the execution of that command. I think we've said something similar before.
Anyway, back to the subject matter. The Egyptians could have easily lashed out on the Hebrews out of anger or ignored them out of hatred and fear, but no God already had a plan, so He sent favor ahead of them. May God give favor in every area of our lives especially in the actualization of His will.

We especially like as the motive of Moses' insistence on the bringing along of the cattle and possession of the children of God was not to satiate their hunger but to sacrifice to the Lord God, it really sheds light on priorities. Priorities every child of God should have.
They saw the cattle, as God's sacrifice, not as food. Wow. Amazing. This is the kind of heart the King of kings delights in, one that prioritizes Him above self and above all else.
Make this Your prayer, ask for the heart to place God first in all aspects of Life.

We can't help but be awed and humbled. And the fact that He has this power, the power to cause so much chaos that humans have no choice than to fear Him, but He still chooses to leave us to carry on life naturally. He still chooses to wait till we come to terms with Him on our own accord. My heart can't help but melt.
And the fact that He actually did this terrible and unnerving miraculous sign for His people, I mean wow. Indeed, only someone under external control like Pharaoh can still remain stubborn in the face of this brute strength.
God is greater than the limits of the imagination. Learn to revere Him.

Few days ago, we made mention of the fact that many times, God handles things in a way that seems to escalate matters. And to be honest, no one can admit to being a huge fan of that.
Today's passage says "But Pharaoh will not heed you, so that I may lay My hand on Egypt and bring My armies and My people, the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments."
There is a good reason, God is doing what He is doing, He wants to manifest Himself, not only to You but to your enemies too. There is a God reason God is called a jealous God.
He wants them to know that You are not someone to be treated casually. That's why He allows certain things: to keep the balance of cause and effect, heavy affliction requires spectacular deliverance... You get the point?
So guys, chill. When it feels like your problems are just getting bigger, disproportionate to your strength, thank God, that could well be a sign that God has taken interest in your case and is stepping in.
Another reason is to give a push, to give you motivation to do what you are supposed to do. Probably, you are not putting enough effort into the part you have to play to facilitate your deliverance, so God increases the heat. So that the needed quality in you can be perfectly refined and brought to bear for the whole world to see.

The above passage fills like a prophecy to the body of Christ, not just to the ancient Israelites.
In many ways, we are sojourners and strangers in this world. And ordinarily, we aren't to receive anything worthwhile. But God has made a promise and He will fulfill it. The scripture says "The Earth of the Lord's" it doesn't matter what your present circumstances are, what you should know is that God will give us this land, even this land we are strangers in, with a mighty hand. Only believe.

The main point for today is in the above passage; Before a need or challenge arises the answer or solution has already been prepared and is within reach, we just haven't realized and activated it yet.

Many times, people choose to abandon the service of God because they feel there is no gain. I wonder how the children of Israel would have fared if Abraham or the other predecessors had this kind of mindset.
The bare truth is that nothing is really ever wasted, no matter what it is, good or bad. Better to sow good seeds today, it may blossom in Your lifetime or in that of your children, but it will surely come. Nothing is ever a waste.

Paternal blessings have been a resounding theme in the bible and especially in the lives of the patriarchs, for some reason, this proves that it must have at least done importance. Lots of fathers like Jacob, delayed their deaths until they had a chance to bless their children.
Another point to be noted from this chapter is that, your past actions, interactions and relations have a lot of impart on the blessing received. Sadly many don't care.
Parental blessings, especially heartfelt ones carry incredibly weight spiritually. But ofcourse, there are some who have lost their parents due to one thing or the other. My advice of to find and adopt a parent. Treat them sincerely. You know what You are after.
But blessings don't make a person omnipotent, so also work on Yourself, don't really on external factors alone.

One thing I have come to realize in my life though short as it is, is that God's will is the best. It doesn't matter whether it seems so at the moment or not. But everything always aligns in the end.
There are times we are faced with circumstances that are outside our control, things that no matter how hard we try our how much effort we put on little seems to change, the best thing then is to rely on God.
No matter the matter, God's plans will be actualized, so there is little use fighting it, just go with the flow and put Him in Charge.

We can derive a very important lesson from this passage of scripture. Like my Pastor implied today, the best strategy is to sell God's face.
Jacob didn't assume that since God told his Father (Isaac) /Gen.26:1-2/ not to go to Egypt during the famine of that time that could just follow the examples of the past.
Every situation is unique, that is not to put off the place of extrapolation, but first is to sell the face of God, before you take any decision, especially major ones.
It might be hard but righteousness, dedication and the grave of God will say you through.

Many things and many lessons can be distilled from the above speech which The then Prime Minister of Egypt gave to his long lost brothers at their reunion.
But what really struck me was the mindset, he refused to look at his situation as man-made problems, instead he saw them as God ordained opportunities... Sure a person could say "Easy for you to say, he was a prime minister". But I tell ya, of you are not diligent over little you can't be made Ruler over much. It's a basic scriptural law.
Learn to adjust your situation based on your mindset and not your mindset based on your situation.
