My best friend graduated from Jibowu Campus in year 2007, up till now he has not collected his result due to poor management and fraud that has been the order of the day in all this campuses. i paid for acceptance form in Jibowu Campus in 2003, this my friend advised me that i should not come and join him in Lasu i should rather go to DLI , I got admission to DLI in 2004 i finished 1n 2009, i have collected my l statement of result, am waiting for my certificate this October. My friend has alredy spent 2 years in Lasu before my addmission, has not been able to get his result, recently he almost got Job in a multinational company he presented TO WHOM which is not enough for the employer, employer asked him that, as an auditor, what will you do if u audit a company payroll and u discovered that somebody was employed without result after graduating for the past 4 years? my friend could not answer My friend is a brilliant guy, he came out of Polytechnic with Upper credit (OND), but he struggled to finish with second class lower in Lasu while those other student that pay their way out either in cash or body or in kind pass with second class upper, this my friend always teaches them in their tutorial they even nick name him 'Proff'. He has finished his OND since year 2000 and still working about with that OND till today. I think Lagos State Government has taken a right decision. Every change in life always come with its sacrifice, if we are being sentimental about this issue more people that are looking for admission will still fall victim. my friend case is just one out of thousand graduating student that are still Waiting for messiah to deliver them from LASU my advise is that Government should plan for the existing student so that their money and time will not be wasted. if they want to run part time they should run it inside main campus and they should not franchised part time to business people. |
@ogajim You can read 2 Corinthians 12 v 3-6 (kJV) . you can as well read the whole chapter for better understanding 4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. |
@nbulela am not a tuface fan, but i just read your reply. the guy dey speak pigin he collect many award wey the person wey dey blow grammar no fit collect, he built house, he has every good thing of life, he dey enjoy himself and u dey sit down they look at his grammatical error before u finish corecting his error the man don sign another deal what million of naira with his pigin se na grammar we go chop? |
There is no point quarreling or talking down on people opinion on this topic. It is through that these pastors mentioned might not have been in maidugury or in the north where there was religion riot but i want to tell u if you are opportune to listen to the persecution, danger that these pastors had passed through in the past you would not have been talking like that. Have you heard the story of Bishop Oyedepo during the first Kaduna riot? and are you aware that his ministry started in the North. So also pastor Kumuyi and Olukoya all of them have one story or the other to tell if you ask them Yes, we thank God for the life of those pastors that have lost their lives for standing for Jesus, they have actually fought the good faith and the crown of glory is already waiting for them in the kingdom, their death must have paved way for the salvation of many people in that area. I am not at present staying in the North infact i have never been there, so i can not know those pastor, am only talking about the pastor i know, and pastor i have listen to their messages being to their church, know about what they believe in. if i know those pastor in the north may be they will also earn my respect. So, my brother there is no need of trading word among ourselves on these issue, the topic is 'The pastor i respect Most in Nigeria" You can as well name those of yours that you respect. thanks |
the poster made it clear that the pastor i respected most. Those that are abusing him should understand the topic, he has list his own, list yours and stop castigating these men of God. One thing majority of you don't understand is that all these pastors have their different area of calling and each of them oversea their congratulation around that calling some are call to be pastor some for evangelist, miracle worker, prophesy, teacher of the word and so on so if one pastor is call to be a teacher of the word and is not doing miracle that does not mean is not doing the will of God. Please stop abusing men of God, let God do His judgement. when we get to heaven everything will be clear, if u get to any church and you think that you are not comfortable with their mode of service u can just leave and go to other church. Christainity is a personal things when we get to heaven nobody we ask you which church are you going, or what is the name of your pastor? God bless u As for me I list my own in this order Pastor Kumuyi Pastor D.K Olukoya Pastor Adeboye Bishop Oyedepo This does not mean am Deeper life member |
ope o o oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Thank God at last. Jonathan has to prove to us that is capable to govern this country. This is a welcome development |
Yes. i cried when i discovered that the woman i love and like to spend the rest of my life with we are both AS genotype. we both tried to continue but we were counseled not to even tried it. we prayed for one of us to turn to AA but we just have to let go. She cried and try to convinced me to continue but, i have to cry for leaving her now than to cry on innocent child with SS in the future. |
@ Omololu, thank u for your reply for that 3rd class guy. I have said yesterday, those people looking down on those first class student, it is jealous that is killing them especially that guy that said he prefer 3rd class to 1st class, that guy must have passes out with 3rd class or if stll in school is a 3rd class student. People should think very well before they write anything here , they should be objective, for the fact that you passed out with 3rd class does not mean other can not make 1st class. Encourage those guy and appreciate them. i still don't believe that as bad as Nigeria education that anybody can buy 1st class with money, there is a lot of condition attach to 1st class in Unilag, is not base on your accademic alone, it involve your character, no bad record , your attitude in the class and they look at your performance from year 1 to the last year, external examiner will look at it, Governing council will check. They dont just give away first class any how they give it to those that deserve it |
@Mstom God bless u for your comment. Nigeria are blessed with people with best brain. Let this people just leave the sore of this country and go to foreign company to do thier master i bet it the oyinbo people will not want them to come back to Nigeria by the time they see their performance. "Prophet has no honor in his own house" Among this people we have one of them from Distance Learning Institute, the Unilag part time, the person is a working class , he was combing going to work with study, u can imaging if such person has all the time devoted for study. Nigerian until we change our orientation toward ourselves and value what we have, this country will never move forward. |
what make u think that they can not get first class in UNN? Have sat for UNILAG exam before? so that u can compare the standard. |
One of our problem in Nigeria is that we don;'t appreciate ourselves, i am sure that if any of the school abroad award this 1st class as that of unilag people will not criticized them, and that is our problem even in our government and our place of work, that is reason why a Nigerian company will prefer to employ an oyinbo man that will come to office and drink coffee, smoke and at the end of the day he will not do anything than to command Nigerian to do everything that he suppose to do, and at the end of the day collect his salary in dollars and a nigerian can do even better than what he is employee for. These first class that u people are saying they don't deserve it, next time u will hear about them they are already out of this country working abroad using those brain to developed a developed country. Yoruba has a proverb that say '' oju ko ki n ti eniyan ki o ma ka n kan mo eni yan lowo. majority are talking out of jealousy. They are just given excuses on why they are not able to get their first class. If first class is scarce in your school, if u know u r a first class student and u know u can make it why cant get a transfer to those school that can help u to achieve your dream? UNILAG has done the best for their student that deserve it to encourage those other student that are behind to work harder. None of unilag student will claim that first class is not possible. so if your school is awarding 2 first class out 5000 student in a year that is your luck |
DELSU! if you are comparing school compare them with those that are of the same class, DELSU is not in anyway the same class with UNILAG. You can compare DELSU with all those school with 'SU' like OSU.LASU,DELSU.ESU, and so on. Those school with the same class with UNILAG are OAU,UNILORIN,UI,UNN,UNAB,UNIPORT,UNIBEN. so know your mate |
There are many factors that determine your first class in any higher institution in Nigeria. 1st is yourself if u determine from year one that u r going to have it and u work towards it u will have it, your first class start from yr year 1 result. 2nd is the school policy, if the school peg the number of first class in any year to a particular number, there is no amount of reading u will do even if u deserve it u will not be given. 3rd is your lecturers if those lecturers are not friendly as in encouraging u, it will be difficult. 4th is luck, we have cases of missing result in all our university anything can happen to your script and a lazy lecturer might not border to look for it he will just award u any mark he likes and if u want to call for your paper there are a lot of unfavorable conditions attached to it. if u r not sure of the unilag 1st class, u can get a transfer from your school to Unilag and come and try. Those people deserve it, i have been to Unilag and other higher institution we know the difference. Those institution that is given 2 or 3 first class out of thousands of graduant, r u saying all other student are not first class candidate? or they dont have first class brain? Think about it |
it is a good idea but not the right time. There are some thing that government ought to have done before enforcing such law. Providing an affordable accommodation for people should have been the first thing to do. we have resources in this country to build houses that will be affordable. It will not work, it will just be on paper. What of companies that goes to bank to borrow money and build estate or houses for rentage with the aim of recouping their money back in shortest time. They said there would not be agency again what of the company that are in line of this business. this will lead to another unemployment. Lagos landlord we be asking their prospective tenant that "are you fashola son? if u r fashola son my house is not for u. It always difficult to regulate a market in Nigeria where a demand is more than supply. By the time u r claiming that Fashola or law say u should not collect more than 3 months rent another person will be ready to 3 years in advance. Government should provide accmodation b4 that kind of law can work |
Anytime i see or hear peple talking abt man of God am always being careful of what to say because pastoring is the work of God and all pastors are answerable to God and is only God that really know who among the pastor are serving him or doing his will. Let stop castigating pastor about what they are doing if u know that any pastor is deviating from the bible, it is yr responsibily as a child of God to open bible to him and tell him what bible say not to come to a forum like this and start casting aspersion on them. In Christianity there types of doctrine, we have bible doctrine and administrative doctrine, bible doctrine is a must for all xtain to follow irrespective of their denomination while administrative doctrine is peculiar to each denomination. You may not be able to trace administrative doctrine directly to the bible but it must not go against or contradict bible doctrine. Example of administrative doctrine is complete the form b4 u see a pastor, data and information is very important for planning, somebody has giving the example of moses in the bible when his in law has to advise on him on division of labour. so also complete the form we enable the church to have information about the likely problem people are coming for counseling, have data on number of pple coming for such in a week or month or year so that the pastor will be able to schedule his activity. However, the only problem is that if the motive behind it is for selfish interest then is left to that pastor and his creator. |
please i beg u with the name of God dont go to OWODE ONIRIN to buy car o. den dey use juju to sell things in that place o . my brother went thier to buy car, he did not enjoy the car for one day and he had to sell the car back to them at give a way price. dont try it o |
@seyefunmi i agree with u, 300k is a lot of money, that is annual salary of some graduate in this country. The guy will get Nigeria used car with that price. just be careful so that u will not buy the car u will still spend almost another 300k on to make it work. |
i can wait for my own car if i work hard and meet the target. How many cars or house has yr pastor or emam or your ritual leader have given to their member. may be u dont even belong to any of them su egbe man if u don't know how to appreciate other, u dont belong to this place, get out now or else. fire go burn that your finger u dey use to type rubbish |
You can never please human being. Even if Olukoya can not offer them job atleast he has made impact in the life of those guys and challenge others to work hard. Those that are saying rubbish, how many people have you appreciated in your own little way in your environment?. some people put their brain inside their pocket once they sit in front of computer to type message. they never see anything good in others, what they know is to criticize. too bad Thank u jare pastor. |
english no be her language, na borrow language, since he sabi speak pigin and her native language, why u dey worry yourself? u no dey understand wetin she dey talk?. Send her to uk, let her stay there for 5 years before she come back she will be speaking english the way u want. E yin omo nigeria yi gan mi o mo ohun ti o ma n se yin gan. E ma jeun yo tan e tun ma wa bekun bekun kiri. Have u ever see a white man living in Nigeria for long time with his white spouse and start complaining or worry that her or his spouse yoruba ibo or hausa language is terrible. Let appreciate ourselves |
please my good people of nairaland, am looking for a guy using 0809******* to call me, making enquiry about science education course and tutoria for entrance exam, please the guy should call me i want to pass a vital information to him. Thanks |
the form cost N10,000, and the form will soon close they are writing their entrance exam in feb. |
@yysl r u d guy using 0809******* to call me, making enquiry about science education course and tutoria for entrance exam? if yes please call me i want to pass a vital information to you. |
They don't write part time on the certificate, they only write DLI and this is because DLI is a faculty under Unilag so for future easy reference , there is DLI written on the certificate. though student have been agitating for removing DLI on the certificate which the management has promised they are going to consider. UNILAG DLI has been in exitence since 70s, it has credibilty . so many people has passed through the programme, it si internationally recognise, ICAN accpet the certificate for the exception and some other professional body. Stop wasting your time go and get the form before it close. in fact it is highly competitive programme, when u get there ask for the number of people that have applied. People are praying and fasting to get admitted, time is going man stop speculating and being skeptical |
Choosing between Lasu and Unilag Part time? it is a matter of choice, if u want certificate only without knowledge, if u want to finish your programme and not see your result after 4 or 5 years, and if u like bribing your way to get what u want, u can go to Lasu. if otherwise go and purchase Unilag DLI form now. At DLI, if u know that u can not read, don't apply, if u know that u like giving lecturer bribe don't apply but if u want to defend your certificate anywhere u find yourself apply. DLI no get time for nonsense o. I don't need to go for any tutorial to write FA Paper in ICAN exam, my FA Mr Akeju note is more than OK for me, DLI will prepare u for professional exam. |
They do not accept instalmmetal payment u pay at once |
Good day house, am back from school. How is work and life generally. If u r interested in DLI Programme go and purchase your form it will soon close |
DLI addmision form is out, check Guardians newspaper of November 9, for details. |
