Dear Marvel, how are you doing? In your previous post, you said the key stockholders in petroleum industry are having summit in Abuja this week and as such nothing will happen this week from DPR. I believe DPR mgt are part of the stockholders too.

In your last post, you also mentioned that the final list is being reviewed by mgt. I am a bit confused. Plz clarify. Thanks for your info as usual.

All I know is that it is highly unlikely that someone will sit down and come up with more than 300 arbitrary reference numbers.

From the information gathered, over 120,000 candidates applied for one job or the other out of which 12,000 candidates were selected for test and subsequently an approximate of 4,000 attended the interview.

You can only discredit the list if you are among the more than 108,000 that did not write the test but find your reference number on the list or you did not attend the interview and your reference number is there.

The only thing I can assume is that the list is not complete as it is far below the numbers that has been rumored here as being the approved number to be employed which is about 600 or 700 +. My opinion on the list anyway.

The most important thing now is how we will get justice which is what I pray for.

Marvel, plz for God sake, what is the update? Even if it is a bitter truth, plz tell us.

Dear fellow DPR hopefuls., I was authoritatively informed that all APL's were ready for over 3 months now and those in charge are not ready to place calls for APL pickup. For this, I have started making contacts to some stakeholders seeking for the release of my APL. You can also do the same if know anyone. To this point, I am convinced that DPR management will not make any contact.

I have been told reliably that today before the commencement of FEC meeting, Minister of State for Petroleum, Kachikwu handed out 6 DPR appointment letters to his colleagues for their candidates... This confirms the commencement of distribution of appointment letters for the last batch of DPR employment..l

They feel that the people making such effort must have hidden agendas cuz according to them “who makes such great effort when they may not be part of those favored at the end of the day”.

Allowing something that should be frowned at just because they may not be part of the people it would bring any benefit; Is this a nigerian factor?

Well, I will at this point pen down my own contribution.

Right from the beginning of this recruitment exercise, I have been following this thread till now .
I am part of those interviewed and who strongly believe that I did very well in the test because, all the question are what I knew answer to, and my interview all the question I was asked, I got all with assurance. Again, my educational qualification too is a plus if it were to be used as factors in determining successful applicants, all pointing to the fact that I stand a very good chance of getting the job as a physicist/Geophysicist. But I wasn't called up in the first batch neither did I see my name in the leaked supposed merit list which hasn't been verified as genuine or not. Sorry for having need to state all those, but my reason is we all cannot tell accurately the amount of merit candidates that got in the first batch, and many more that will still get in the second list. We all cannot tell if the delay for the second list is to our advantage or not, we all cannot tell what really is going on now, we all cannot tell a lot of things that is going on now... Please I beg you, some of you can say based on your perception that right now merit list will be substituted and all that, remember it is a perceived idea and not necessarily the actual thing, well am not doubting that it can't happen, but NO ONE OF US CAN ACTUALLY TELL WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW. It May be for our good and for the sake of merit candidates and may not. The weapon we have to know that is a little bit of TIME and PATIENCE, after which any action can then be taken. I believe we need to wait a bit, at least month end or say mid- November, before any publication or media intervention comes in. Remember you cannot escalate an issue you are not very certain about it process. It is only when a food is ready that you can probe all the ingredients that makes it and fault or praise the cook.
My fellow comrade and hopefuls, let us exercise a bit of patience, we are on the verge of having the full information about this recruitment, let not hastily by our own hand bury our long hope of a better opportunity we so much put our resources in.
Last last , we will know all that happened if it is fair or not, and by then action can be taken, publication can be made, and social media can be deployed, because even at then, so.much can be done to correct the anomaly because the present government wouldn't want anything to stain their reputation.
Fellow hopefuls, this is not time to publish anything about this recruitment, for the recruitment itself is pregnant and about to deliver, let wait for it delivery before any action can be taken.

A little patience pls everyone. I am still very confident of my performance at both test and interview. Also I saw my reference number on the supposed merit list that was leaked sometimes ago. Who knows the delay may be in our favour. Plz exercise little patience. The political atmosphere in the country in tensed. Let us see what will happen by month end.

We use this opportunity to beg the management of the DPR to please finalise this recruitment. We believe in you as being transparent for the fact that the organization still make it's recruitment exercise public unlike other agencies that recruites in a coded manner. we know children of common men would get the job no matter how small the percentage is.

Good morning fellow hopefuls, I noticed that the spirit is very high now. Pls whatever we want to do should be agreed upon here collectively and it should be reasonable.

Plz and pls, let us be a little more patient may be till month end. Marvel had said several times that October is the month and today is 20th of the month. We still 10 days. If we had waited for 2 years, waiting for additional 10 days should not be difficult.

Remember, we have different categories of people on this site. Some people can advice anything because they have nothing to loss. Some did not do interview and portal closed since.

Our portals are still on and most us are on supposed merit list. We can wait a little more before we re-act.

It is possible that nothing happened last week ended yesterday because of petroleum industry seminar that occurred during the week. If that is the case this week, something can happen.
