No they won’t. I am advising on the fastest route to get SOWP. Apply for visa first to Canada. Then apply for SOWP once you get to Canada.

It takes forever to get an SOWP if you are applying from Nigeria.
Always check the visa processing time online.

It doesn't take forever, my friend sowp was approved in 15 days and mine 7 weeks.

We both applied when our spouse were still in Nigeria and we got approved before they travelled. Do what is best for you.

It depends on what you are applying for, if you are applying alone you can use the new portal or VV for spouse and children but if you are applying for SOWP for spouse you have to use the old portal.

Please how do I track my application at vfs? How do I know they have sent it for stamping in Abuja?
I sent my passport through dhl to lagos vfs yesterday and dhl sent a mail that they delivered it already.

No ghost update, eligibility started 3 days after and medical was passed in about a week.

My first application was april 23.
Refused September 13, 2021 based on this reasons;

Meanwhile I am married with a child and I applied alone and provided family pictures. So I was convinced that was easy for me to tackle.

Second application was on March 11, 2022
BVL and PPR: March 30, 2022.

I ensured I provided more document and pictures for my home ties, I did MBS for 1 year for my statement. Every document I submitted was backed with a proof.

In all it is all God's grace. It will end in praise for us all.
