Doheney Services organized a free seminar today. It was based on interview comportment, it all went well until the end of the seminar. When the motive behind the free seminar was unveiled. they named it a graduate finishing school. Guess how much the one month programme would cost an unemployed graduate-70,000 naira!

This is for real, I don't understand what is happening in this country telling an unemployed person to pay such an amount. No wonder people resort to yahoo, yahoo.

Cant the Government look into all these abuse by recruitment agencies, all in the name of recruiting.

Please I need your advice, I would love to work as a HR personnel. Am currently rounding my Msc in sociology and would like to go for a professional qualification in HR. But the problem is that CIPM accepts only cadidates with some job experience. And I do not have one. Also I would love to work in a HR department, do you know any organization that would employ me. Am eager to learn and assimiliate very fast.

I would appreciate it if you can help me.

well I agree with everybody that wrote Igbo movies are no more, because producers make more money when it is made in English. Even ple who say yoruba movies are subtitled, the yoruba movies are not well subtitled this is because if one was to follow the subtitles one would miss so much of the conversation. And this puts off a lot of ple, a Jamaican once said to me that yoruba movies are not accurate in their subtitles and I observed that.

Though I would love more Igbo film because the acting is more real due to the fact that the actors are using a language that they are most comfortable with. And ple who wrote that Igbo actors are not good that is a balant lie. Where did the likes of Kenneth Okonkwo, Bob Manuel Udokwu, Ngozi Nwaneto, Kanayo O kanayo etc start their career. All of these English Nigeria movies has their root in Igbo movies it grew out of Igbo movies production.

ok "Lawyer" whatever, I would still make mine own resolution

November 31st 2007, I weighted _ _ then yesterday I checked again and noticed I added10 kg more( didnt know one could gain so much in such short time). So my resolution for next year is to lose more kilos, round up my Msc programme.

When i accomplish these I would definitely celebrate it in Nairaland.

Ok I have read all the arguements, so could you all help with my question.
I want to work in the HR department of a Bank. But learnt that all HR department are usually housed in the head office of each bank, is that true?
This is because all the banks head office is on lagos island, and I dont want to work in that area. So if anyone is aware whether every bank branches has a HR department esp in lagos, pls tell me

Mr dragnet I do have a question. If eventually you do succeed in gaining employment for an individual, and the person wants to resign from that company. Would your company assist in a new job search for free or is that person expected to pay another 7500!

please remember that you can't accuse some one until proven guilty. Do not drag dragnet into the list cos nobody has any incidence that warrants us to blacklist than. unless 'guyman 2' you have a story about them to say. if not do be cautious.

well dragnetngr i have taking advantage of your offer even though i believe in your concept. This is because an employer of labour would want to minimize cost, so a reputable recruiting company that can afford all the benefits that dragnet is offering, would attract organization.
Any way I hope it works because people prime didn't plan well for their graduate seminar, and i think that is why applicants are having cold feet coupled with scam recruiters.

what u just wrote about being friends with one of the men because of his money is not right. u might get attached to him because of his money and your mum would feel since u re cool with the guy she could give in to him. I know because am a mother and know that woman especially wives and mother allow the influence of their family change their decisions. So please allow your mum to make her decision. She might not be interested in remarrying, ( it is not written anywhere that a widow must remarry)

So do not add to your mum's confusion just because u are drawn to money. Money bags might have a terrible behaviour towards women, You don't know and I guess u do not what to find out from your mummy's body.
