danowena: They are giving to Nigerians. Why not start filling the form and let the site determine your eligibility. I think you misconstrued something you read. Only limitation is that the chosen school has to be in Canada or the US and they have particular schools which you must attend. My only concern is if a loan will fly with IRCC. I am yet to see anyone that said they paid fees with Mpower and got PPR. If you know of any, please share. I don’t know any personally but we have had people in part 20/21 of this visa thread get PPR with Mpower loan so it’s not impossible. Getting the loan approved is the koko |

MarrisCoco: Good day everyone, quick question please, my sister is a second time applicant, I want to ask concerning her medicals, which was uploaded on the new application she did, so this time, will it show passed, because before she was denied, it showed medicals passed on her account. So now that it’s a second application, will they update it that she passed the medicals again, since she uploaded her medicals result on the medicals section this time. Thank you. The medicals is valid for one year so if it’s still under 1year, it’ll be updated to passed |

Happy Sunday NL fam
Brace up for a long read
This Canada journey is one to be prepared for mentally even before applying for admission. Some of us that are lucky enough to have friends and family that have relocated successfully have all said the same thing “it’s worth the wait” and personally I think anything good is definitely worth waiting for. I reluctantly started this Canadian journey in 2018. 2018,2019 I’d apply for schools either admission came late or I was on the waitlist or rejected, unknown to me then those choices had no educational advancement or career progression so dem for even deny me. 2020 Covid. Then I decided to use the whole 2021 to prepare to meet up with fall 2022. Planned to apply Dec 2021 for fall 2022 but I ended up applying myself April 2022. During the wait, I had only one thing in mind, If they deny me na to reapply and tackle the VOs concern with a professional the next time but I sha finally submitted this application I’ve been dragging myself to complete since 2018. l could be in Canada in less than a year ….. or Not but I finally submitted.
I wasn’t anxious about it all 4months+ while I was waiting but you see those 2days between BVL and final decision omo my heart skipped every time my phone light came up I just dey check mail, check spam, check portal. Well my application was denied this time last week for insufficient finances, notes expected month end. I’m reapplying a second time but definitely not a third (God forbid). I don Dey look other options in Uk, Australia and some European countries but I’m definitely giving this a second go. Who knows it might take just a month this time or … more. na only IRCC know like this. |

When your application status is as shown above, does this means your eligibility has commenced? Yes it means eligibility review has commenced |

KellyTech007: Hi everyone , I'm happy to be part of this Family . Yesterday I had to register here on Nairaland so I can always post my Question for the great Family Guidance. I have taken it upon myself to Process My traveling to Canada Myself instead of depending on a Travel Agent.
I'll be going back to previous Thread Parts of this topic so I can read People's steps , testimonies and use them as a guide. I know it's going to take a lot of time as there are a lot of things to read about but it will all be worth it .
It's my first time and my first attempt, and yes I'm ready especially as it concerns Finances .
I plan on being part of the intake in September 2023 . Before I used to think oh since my target is around September 2023 so I can just wait till next year before I start processing Omo ! I was wrong and I thank God I found this thread .
Please it's my first time , alot of the things I have seen so far are mostly about the Visa Application which will be the latter for me after getting an acceptance letter but please I have some Questions to ask I'll be very grateful if anyone can come to my aid.
1. PLEASE How do I go about my transcript , I have seen transcript is one core documents one need at the preliminary stage. I graduated last year , Right now I'm currently doing my Service here in Abuja. Someone was telling me about my school here in Nigeria making arrangement for my transcript to be sent out but with this current ASUU strike , What can I do ?
2. At this point since I'm rooting to be part of the September 2023 intake , Does that mean I can Start applying to various schools now ? I thought Oh if anyone is applying right now to schools then it should be because they want to be part of the January intake that means I have to wait but I'm wrong , because seeing how people waited for months and months to get their Visa approved and etc , it obviously show they started preparing even a year before . Does that mean I can start applying to schools Now to be part of their September 2023 intake ?
3.If my Number 2 answer is Yes , Please can you guide me on how to go about my Application and how to know schools that are open to September 2023 ?
4. Please does my Undergraduate course has to be related to the course I intend studying for my Master's in Canada ? Because I have been to a lot of these school site and I see things like one's choice of picking a graduate course should relate to one's undergraduate course , or probably I read that wrongly
I understand no one is responsible for answering my Questions , but I'll be patient. I understand it's a long one but I really need guidance , it's my first time so I'm trying to make everything work out fine.
I look forward to anyone helping my life ,yes I understand I have to be patient. I'll be patient definitely. I look forward to getting responses. Thanks My Nigerian Brother and sisters Hello KellyTech007 1. If I understand you clearly, you’re concerned about your Nigeria university sending your transcript to your prospective Canadian school right? Most schools in Canada accept the scanned copy of transcripts, only a few request transcript to be sent to them directly but if you don’t have your transcript with you at all then you will have to get a contact in your school to help you process your student copy faster. 2. The time is now! 3. If you share your undergrad information i.e course studied, cgpa gurus on the thread can share related programs but you can also search on google “Study (intended program) in Canada” and carry out your research on each option. 4. Since you just graduated with little to no work experience then it’s strongly advised to go for a course relating to your undergrad. You can wait for other inputs. Goodluck ! |

PatrickOkunima: At bold, Great!
For me, I have received no update. Or is it because it was a medical request? I have sent several emails to IOM, Ikeja, no response at all. I have also tried to call all the numbers on their website, none went through. You should send your medical slip through email to IRCC if you haven’t. You can send to both NROBIIMDocument@international.gc.ca nrobi-im-document@international.gc.ca |

PatrickOkunima: Evening house,
Is there anyone who did medicals at IOM, Ikeja on 27th July, whose results have been sent to IRCC? I did my medicals in Ikeja this same date and my medicals was updated to “medicals passed” on the 3rd of August |

Mskk: thanks you just save me some bucks, i am about to pay for my application,i have been looking for a card that can work ,walletfrica is nonsense for 3 days unable to fund . You can either open and fund a Dom account or alternatively ask any family or friend abroad to help you make the payment (that’s what I did). And I think there are also trustworthy people on this thread that help with such services. Good luck |

Qyt1: Guys is it advisable to go for police clearance or not. I completed application form but on the document upload section their is no section requesting for police clearance, it went straight to payment for biometrics and visa. Is it that they will ask for it later I want to be sure before dashing those police free money. I use the IRCC new portal Hello Qyt1, There’s no particular section to upload police certificate. If you have your police certificate you can merge it with your client information or supporting documents. And with this new hike in the price of obtaining one it is important to know that people have gotten approvals without it so it’s left to you to decide if you want to include it or not. Good luck |

Frankrobbn1: Why not generate the e-copy of the bank statement? It is also acceptable.
It will end in praise Thanks for the quick response sir. It’s my sponsor’s statement (uncle). He’s currently out of the country so can’t visit the bank for MBS and doesn’t use online banking. And I intend to meet up with fall resumption so I can’t wait for his return. The pdf has been compressed from 11mb to 3.9mb as the lowest (20pages) hence my question of splitting it (using the new portal) Any possible suggestion will be much appreciated thanks @makano @donkunxex |
