Yes! you heard it here first. After Wizkid’s concert stunt he played on his fans and lovers of entertainment, where Davido performed with him, we all got to realize that, the sworn enemies had buried their hatchet and moved on with their lives.

Not only have they moved on, they have become closer than they used to be in the early years of their music career. For those of us (lovers of Davido and good music) who were present at Eko Hotels for Davido’s 30 Billion Concert or watched it from video clips released by those in attendance, recall how Davido introduced Wizkid on stage to perform Manya..

The initial announcement a few months back, Davido’s ’30 Billion Concert’ had effortlessly become the most talked about 2017 concert in Africa, and it is no surprise the concert attracted attendance and performance from the most celebrated names in Africa such as WizKid, Don Jazzy, Nasty C, D’banj, Wande Coal, Falz; just to name a few.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday said they are shocked by the news of the involvement of son of President Muhammadu Buhari, Yusuf in a power-bike accident.

Yusuf broke on Tuesday, December 26 broke one of his limbs and sustained head injury in a bike accident around Gwarimpa in the Federal Capital Territory.

The PDP in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan on Thursday said they are reassured by reports from the Presidency that Yusuf is in a steady condition.

“The PDP as a family prays for Yusuf’s speedy recovery to enable him to return to his normal life,” the statement read.

The party also commended the prompt intervention by medics saying they value the concern of all well-meaning Nigerians for their prayers for Yusuf and the first family.

Plane makes U-turn for carrying wrong passenger

A Tokyo-bound flight All Nippon Airways has returned to Los Angeles after flying for about eight hours for carrying a wrong passenger.

The airline made a turn mid-air hours into the journey after the crew discovered that one of the passengers had boarded the wrong plane.

Flight 175 left Los Angeles International Airport at 11:36 a.m. Tuesday and returned to LAX at 7:33 p.m.

A statement from the airline says the pilot decided to return to the originating airport as part of the airline’s security procedures.

Model Chrissy Teigen was aboard and live-tweeted the developments. She wondered on Twitter why the plane was turning around hours into the 11-hour flight.

ANA says it’s trying to determine how the passenger boarded the wrong flight.

In an apology to inconvenienced passengers, the airline says it takes pride in customer service and failed on this flight.

A 94-year-old man and a 91-year-old woman who have waited for 67 years, have finally solemnised their marriage in front of family and friends at PCEA Church in Gachika, Nyeri County, Kenya.

According to Standardmedia, the groom, Jackson Muriuki, and his wife, Agnes Njeri, exchanged their vows on Saturday. Muriuki walked down the aisle on crutches and arm in arm with his bride, Agnes, who also used a walking stick.

The couple had been living together as man and wife since 1954 and had 13 children but never formally exchanged vows. Muriuki, who was flanked by his best man, Zacharia Githinji, described the ceremony as the best experience of his life and thanked God.

His wife said she was happy. “Happiness, happiness, more happiness,” she said, beaming. “It is such a joy to experience something that I haven’t before and we did this so that we can be closer to God,” said Muriuki.

Davido



He has been consistent since the beginning of his music career and 2017 is unarguably his best year so far. Every single he has dropped this year has been a hit from IF, Fall, FIA to Like That.

He has been on a row with awards too, he won very notable awards like EMA, MOBO, TFA, etc. He welcomed a new daughter, his 30Billion Gang World Tourwas a massive success, no artist has had a better year than Davido in the Naija Music Industry.

The murder allegation he had would have dented his whole year but he still came out strong. He was literally untouchable.

Ratings:- 9.5/10



Wizkid



One very notable thing the StarBoy has done this year is trying to penetrate fully into the American market with his AfroBeat sound but he has had some highs and lows with that.

He dropped a very good EP “Sounds From The Other Side” this year after making waves with his Drake assisted single,Come Closer. Daddy Yo is another Wizzy jam that rocked this year for many months but Wizkid obviously concentrated more on the international movement and it’s slowly paying off.

Winning MOBO‘s best international act over the likes of Jay Z and DJ Khaled is not child’s play but he didn’t have much impact back home as we would have expected him to but you can tell Nigerians are extremely proud of their StarBoy.

Mayorkun



His rise to fame has been meteoric and he has definitely been a wonderful addition to the Nigeria Music Industry. His “Mama” single definitely rocked this year and Che Che has been topping charts since he dropped it.

Mayorkun knows his craft and he has sticked to his winning formula which is singing for the “Ladies”. Just sit back and notice Mama, Love You Tire, Yawa and Che Che‘s lyrics, they are all for the ladies and if the ladies love you, you definitely can’t do no wrong.

Davido signed a gem.

Wande Coal



Often being accused of laziness and under utilizing his more than enough talent, Wande Coal had a very decent outing this year.

Arguably the most talented vocalist in the country, Wande Coal lived up to the hype this year and dropped enough sweet tunes for his fans.

Iskaba and Ballers topped the charts this year, especially Iskaba with the help of the Sesan directed crisp video.

He was featured on other notable singles like Zamo Zamo (by Phyno), El Chapoand It’s Not A Lie (by Dbanj), e.t.c. Truth is, on Wande Coal’s level, he can do better than 2 hit singles in a year but then, at least he put in work this year.

Small Doctor



From an underdog to being the artist behind the hottest song in the country for months. Small Doctor is on top of his game and there is no stopping him any time soon as he just dropped another troublesome end of the year tune titled “This Year“.

As we all know, the average lifespan of a hit single in Nigeria these days is just about 3 months or less but Small Doctor’s “Penalty” broke that limitation.

While other artists were literally playing their penalty into the throw-in line, Small Doctor kept scoring with his “Penalty” since the beginning of the year till this very moment, even De Gea can’t stop it ���

Following recent viral video that showed four young Ghanaian boys raping a young girl that sparked outrage on social media, the police have swung into action and the have been arrested .

According to multiple reports, 3 out of the four suspects were apprehended by the Police after their video went viral with many calling for their arrest.

This is indeed a welcome development. Police in the Ashanti Region picked up three people believed to have been involved in the gang rape of a young girl which was then filmed and disseminated on social media.

The disturbing video shows a gang of guys raping a teenage girl who was being held down by one of them whilst the other take turns in forcefully having their way with her.

Police believe the perpetrators to be five in number and have launched a manhunt for the other two. They are requesting information from the public to assist in arresting the others.

The girl in the video, according to reports, is currently at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital receiving treatment and is assisting the police in their investigations.

The incident occurred at Bantama in the Ashanti Regional capital. The National Headquarters of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, indicated in a statement that, it had taken a “serious view” of the incident, and has constituted a special investigative team to look into the matter, and identify the suspects for the necessary legal actions.

The statement also asked various media houses and those in possession of the video to “stop circulating it since it is an offence to circulate such obscene materials.”

“Anybody with any relevant information should personally report to the Cyber Crime Unit of the CID Headquarters for further action,” it added.
