Making us wait two weeks b4 we know if Glenn survived or not. Nice one AMC!!

Lol..

The way I dey see am, we might have to wait a little longer than normal...
..heck.. we might never know what became of Glen until season finale and before we can catch our breath, AMC might just send us a curveball that no one'll ever expect.

As for me oh.. come rain, come sunshine, i'll be following every episode the way it ought to be..

With one can of Orijin and a bag of popcorn!

I don't think he won the league for Trencin based on his record. It's Rabiu Ibrahim that single handedly won the league for them. Although, Moses was the one that single handedly won the league for Gent for the first time.

how many goals and assists did Simon have compared to Rabiu Ibrahim in Trencin?

Moses Simon plays for Gent.

i know.

I highlighted Trencin cos he singlehandedly won the league for that team.
He came down to Ghent in the winter and won the league for them too.

I deliberately didn't put Ghent cos he's been used far less frequently as he ought to this season cos of fitNess issues and people who are conversant with his present predicament might want to pick holes in my argument.

like I said, MLS can make an average player look good, I can't judge him on that.

I insist Oliseh should have called up Success instead of Martins

And the bullshit league Emenike plays in nko?

David Villa, kaka, Therry Henry et al have all graced the MLS @ some point in their careers too.

Had any of them beaten Obafemi's goal scoring record in the MLS?

Abeg, Martin deserves that invite more than an Emenike and 80% of Naija strikers right now!

Asides Moses Simon (for trencin) and maybe Ighalo, there's no other there's no other Nigerian player that has carried his team to success the way Martin does for Seattle Sounders.
He has radically evolved from being a speedy goalpoacher to a "playing-making striker".
His dribbling ability, close ball control and passing has tremendously improved by far!

I commend Oliseh for this brave decision.

I know that one or two innuendos of his initial post didn't sit well with you but you didn't need to have gone all gung-ho @ him like that.

You are generally known as a "notice-me" here on nairaland hence, your claim of wanting to keep a low lifestyle just doesn't fly well with many of us who are very well arare of your online persona.

Look closely @ the list of celebs up there..

They are rarely known for hugging the limelight or being the centre of attraction in anyway..

There is no desert in Nigeria, specifically.

I agree with you, tho 80%. grin

There's actually a bit of desert at the extreme tips of the most northernmost states of nigeria.

Many villages that were once rife over there have all disappeared and have been taken over by the sahara.

The school I attended in the south has many cotton trees..

The north has a desert problem... It can't be used for farming...

My Brother,

Israel is actually a desert.

Yet they produce more food than they actually need.

Libya.. Egypt, Sudan and many of the North African countries are predominantly desert yet they have food security.

Nigeria should improve on its agricultural systems.. build bigger and more ultramodern silos... and improve greatly on the prevailing methods of transporting farm produce over great distances without the goods getting spoilt along the way so that both farmers, the middlemen and consumers can have value for their money.

Yes, the school you may have attended might have many cotton trees yet they aren't up to 1/100th of the number of Cotton trees..nay.. Farms that abound in the North.

The north only produced groundnut then..

The SW cocoa and farmlands with the SE coal and farmland with SS farmland and fishery with central Nigeria's rice and farmland was what built Nigeria..

There is no farmland in the north... Its a desert region..

Don't be deceived by what you read and hear..

The north didn't only produce groundnuts oh.. They cultivated cotton in very commercial quantities..yea..Nigeria in the 60's was among the top 10 exporters of Cotton in the world.

They also were a prime producer of Shea Butter and Beef too.

You forgot one of the most important ones:

Religion

When you bury yourself and life in a religion and let theocracy (especially one like Islam) be a major influence in your policy-making and ways of working, it is highly likely to impact your economic activities and hold you back (both economically and mental-development-wise).

It affects your economic activities through the narrowing of the breadth and progressiveness of your policies and work to a myopic level. It also reduces the quality of education you can give and is receivable by your people (the workforce) to help develop the economy.

If you go to the North, many of the higher-skilled jobs in the private sector is conducted by Southerners. Just the way you will have it even in Dubai.

Lets be blunt!

But countries like Malaysia, Indonesia and Turkey are predominantly Moslem yet they aren't technologically backward in any way or are they?

Jimi Solanke also had a show on LTV 8 in the 1980s (before he moved over to the NTA). It used to be shown on Saturday mornings. Unfortunately I can't remember the title of the show.

LTV channel 8

My daddy's telly could never catch their signal clearly!!! Always too much "shhhhhh" and static and the channel seemed more grayscale than colored. Lol!

Though, I tried not to miss captain-caveman, captain planet and ninja turtles whenever I could sha.

I won't lie... LTV channel 8 and NTA channel 7 were a perfect No-NO for me. Maybe it was the proliferation of Yoruba programmes on both channels...I dunno. Lol.

But damn.. those were some good times.. for real!

Meanwhile... its an honor to finally chat with you one-on-one on Nairaland.

I'm a very great fan of your threads and your Diary and follow them as religiously as I can.

You truly are a PERFECT example of an ENIGMA and I sincerely hope to meet you someday just to shake your hand in deep respect.
