actually, it's cos she brings out the youthful ambivalence within me and gives me little or no stress whatsoever. besides, she exhibits commonsense that belies her years.

but most of all, despite the fact that she's got TONS of admirers by the truckload, she still adores and appreciates simple old me...with my grey hairs, imperfections and all.

Not many people remember Buhari's role in making Akunyili the brand that she is...

Maybe if she had pocketed the dough from the proceeds of her medical trip back when she was working under Buhari..she might never had ended up being the Amazon that we remember her for right now.

Life ehn...!?!
If only we realize the end result and how some of our mundane decisions affect our future and that of our unborn kids, maybe we'll not be so rash about how we chose our ideals after all.

Which is why the government is to blame, they are supposed to encourage and subsidise Nigerians that want to take part in all facets of Nigerian industry but they don't which allows oyibo thief's like her to come and steal from us. You are the only daft one here. Mugu.

How is she a thief?

What has she stolen?

Your money?.. or the land you bought up north?

No.

It's the subsidized fertilizer with your name and logo imprinted on it that she stole!

Nonsense!

My guy... find something better doing.

Be an inspiration to Nigerians and myself be empowering yourself and your immediate society with jobs and stop making noise on Nairaland day after day..from morning till night..while at the same time, taking single digits off our IQ with your negative minded bants.

Be an inspiration young man!.. stop waiting for govt to spoon feed you else you'll grow old without achieving anything of substance.

It's a heartfelt advice.

Cheers.

You are myopic, she is trying to take over an industry in Nigeria which will only be good for her long term and how do you know she is not here to introduce GMO disease causing produce to Nigeria to poison us? How do you know she's not a CIA agent here to help boko or create other problems? You must learn to think outside of the box when it comes to the whites because they are the snake from the Bible. Any time whites say they coming to help there is always and ulterior motif.

Mma Abasi!!....youre daft!

I've been following your write up on this thread and have noticed that you've got not one position thing to say about this wonderful woman.
If only you know the breath of fresh air this woman has brought to tomato farmers up north. You wouldn't be spewing the nonsense you're spewing right now.

Most tomato farmers, by going into a venture partnership programme with tomato jos are making over 300% profits compared to the huge losses they used to incure until recently.

Apart from Dangote who has also started making serious headway into the tomato farming and processing business, no other NiGERIAN including you and I has thought of making serious investments in tomato business at the scale that these two people bringing to fore.

Next time, if you have absolutely nothing to contribute when people bring creative ideas to tackle national issues that would benefit all and sundry, i'd suggest you either keep mum or move on another thread..abeg!

Jeez!

wirinet:
My main question is; if the production cost of Nigeria' s crude is about $29, how was nigeria able to survive low oil prices of between $8 - $16 under the Babangida and Abacha administrations?

I guess it's partly due to having a stronger Naira against the dollar back in the day, along with a much lesser population compared to now.

Politics / Re: Nigerians Reacts To President Buhari's Twit About The Murdered Woman In Kano by kannymoore(m): 6:25am On Jun 05, 2016

Buhari is so sick in the head, when you wore a cap into a church during your campaign you did not realize u have to respect Christian doctrine and your brother El rufai insulted Jesus Christ yet was not murdered, May what befell the woman be the lot of your entire generation, may your own head be served as gift to harlots!

Pls oh.. justcwanted to ask a lil question...
does the Pope remove his big cap during service?

What about the small cap that reverend fathers wear on their "ogor"? do they remove that too during service?

if your answer is no, why then do you need to issue curses on the President for his religious if you're so "holy" a Christian?

Even when Jesus christ came to earth... did He ever personally insult the religious beliefs of the non jews whenever He came in contact with them, (eg. the Samaritan woman, Pontius Pirate, etc)?

the president, for all his weakness did and said the right things. if you take time out to read his tweets on the said matter, you'll notice where he commiserate with the widower and appreciated the steps taken by the kano state government and the police in bringing together both heads of the religious organisations of the state plus the widower and nipping this delicate matter in the bud before it exploded into a full blown religious crisis.

give commendations when due and stop complaining every time. no one likes a constant complainer even if things are terribly bad in an organization or society. when shit get gets to your nostrils, the decent thing to do is either (a) resign and offer your services elsewhere or (b) roll up your sleeves and think up innovative self sustaining ideas and try bring them to fruition. but so doing this, you'll begins to notice that people who are like minded will key into your ideas and the whole organization or society will become the better for it.
