Politics / Re: North East Development Commission Bill: An Unpatriotic And Unfortunate Bill by Kanyekels(m): 7:40am On Oct 26, 2016
Intrepid01:

Bros stop being petty. Stop crying like a bereaved person. In 2011, the SWesterners went all out to support GEJ. The only state where Ribadu had a meaningful vote was Osun state. The fact that SWesterners decided to go the other way round in 2015 does not make them ENEMIES of SS or SE. If you would be realistic to yourself; It was a SWesterner in person Obasanjo that purposely positioned GEJ for presidency. It was also the SWesteners that came all out through Femi Falana's Campaign for Democracy to support GEJ when he was being marginalized by Yaradua's kitchen cabinet. But the problem with some people is, they think they have right to your loyalty. No one has right to anyones loyalty, it is earned. SEasterners supported GEJ because they benefited from his Governemnt the most.

You need to understand this is politics, you support the side that favours you. Yorubas felt betrayed by GEJ based on his choice of appointment and re-aligned with the North to have the Vice-presidency since they have produced the President in recent time. But the truth is there is no permanent friend or enemy in politics, there is only PERMANENT INTEREST.
The issue is the South Southerners have moved on but the Igbos have refused to move on, crying more than the bereaved.
The fact is the only way to have a short at the Presidency is through ALIGNMENT. IGBOs can only produce the president if they bury the hatchet and move on. But that seems to be very difficult to do.

If all Southernes regions decide to be at loggerheads, it will only be to the advantage of the North. So it will be a collective loss.

And so be it.

Its high time Intelligent,Patriotic Youths with the interest of Nigerias growth at heart start getting involved. We can't leave the state of Nigeria in the hands of this same criminals we keep recycling.Lets join together and take back our country. Imagine 100,000 youths contribute 50,000 that's already 5 billion naira enough for campaign among other things. We can either assemble a strong force or Join a notable party with the interest of the Nation screened by us. Enough of the Nairaland compalaining and social media rants. Lets get to work youths of Nigeria. The power is in our hands.Lets Restructure the Fiscal federalism of this Nation and Make it great.

Note:- By youths I don't mean small minded, corrupt, tribalistic, visionless youths

I'm not really sure you know what's politics and what it's all about.
Firstly, Nigeria is and will always be divided along tribal and religious lines.
Second, there's no way you or anyone can mobilize 100000 youths in this Nigeria for election purposes. You need to mobilize 5- 10 people with the same ideology, stupendously rich, educated etc to form that kind of movement you are talking of, then others will cue in when they see how serious and sensible the movement is. In Hong Kong or Indonesia, it was done by college students of about 6 and not more than 26yrs so it is still achievable in Nigeria.
So my advice to you is to plan, plan and plan. The planning definitely won't be on Nairaland.

EXACTLY!!! Thank God someone else is seeing what we have been seeing.

That notion of "hold Buhari responsible for every crime committed by a Fulani man since he is also Fulani" is the demonic notion the bastard hateful children of the Fallen Angel have been trying to force Nigerians to accept.

It has not and will NEVER stick!

They can continue radicalising themselves as they please- when the bow breaks, they shall be rightly tagged the terrorists they are and treated as such.

God bless you Baba for speaking the truth, and God bless the President FRN (GCFR), Mohamadu Buhari. smiley

This is hypocrisy at it's peak. You are now supporting Obasanjo but when Ekiti state house of Assembly passed a bill will respect to herdsmen heinous crimes and Fayose gave his accent to the bill, you and your fellow zombies criticized him. What's really you guys problem

Bro, it is Low.
Canadian universities mostly requires a second class upper for admission. Or occasionally a very high CGPA in your last two years of full time study or last 60 units of study..
My cousin had a second class lower 3.31 but his last two years of full time study was 4.62 on a 5.0 scale, he got an admission in University of Alberta (which is among the most Competitive Universities in the world and Canada in terms of getting an admission).

I would have advised you to do a Pgd, but from what I am reading on this thread recently, it seems like getting a TRV for a Pgd is becoming more strict.

But that doesn't still matter, you can definitely get a TRV(study permit) for your Pgd, many have still gotten, ur case could be successful.
Canadian Embassy hasn't issued a statement or policy banning TRV for Pgd programs undecided

Or you could try Germany, Ireland, Australia....
What course did you study in ur Baccalaureate degree nd what course are u hoping to do for Masters

Thanks bro. I appreciate. Studied Metallurgical Engineering.

That UBC is cheaper, i don't know about other courses, but for law, its not their fees are about 3-4k dolls apart. And UBC is one of the top 3 unis in Canada, and they are very strict with the 2:1 request unlike other schools that will consider your last 2 years despite your 2:2, I'm not sure UBC does same, at least according to my brother who's a masters student there currently.

I may be wrong though.

Hey. Please i have a question. Which schools accept 2:2 Thank you.

Just look at comments from d same set of people calling out yorubas for teaming up with the North..

They will readily support the North if they get VP slot.. The same North that massacre them from time to time. It must really suck to be them honestly.. Tufia!

It's either you are a poor student of history or you are still too young to debate politics.
2003 and 2007, easterners and Anambra men precisely were running mates of PMB but we still voted against PMB because we knew he doesn't have what it takes to rule Nigeria. So what makes you think the table will turn around even if he chooses Peter Obi or our beloved NNAMDI KANU as his next running mate? That means you really don't know Igbos. Igbos are very intelligent and I really don't think that a United South can work with the kind of hate been displayed between Yorubas and Igbos. We had that opportunity in 2015 but we lost it.

First admit you made a factual blunder with your Seattle analogy instead of throwing tantrums like a mentally challenged teenage boy.

When you're done with that, reread this very post of yours I'm quoting and also admit that you have exhibited the same type of intellectual laziness shown by people in the 15th Century who probably thought the concept of an aeroplane was stupid.

"If humans with their lightweight can't fly, then how is that hulking mess of metallic monstrosity (weighing over 5,000 times the size of a human) supposed to?"

"Why aren't the wings flapping? How do you expect that thing to fly?"

Food for thought.

As a parting shot, I'd advise you to Google "vertical farming" and "hydroponic agriculture" if all else fails.

You are sound academically and I admire that. I think you should stop arguing with that ethnic jingoist who thinks we are still in the 15th century. A lot has changed buy he's still left behind. Singapore has one of the best economy in the world with such a small landmass and population yet the number of millionaires(dollars) is more than double the number of millionaires(dollars) in Nigeria. Why? Because they've invested in Education, Technology and Human resource. Just forget the dullard.

Unn didnt release any officially department cutoff mark this year, share me d link from their website where u saw the cutoff mark to convince me

I really pity gullible youths like you. Jamb released the modalities for admission and scrapped post utme so to a large extent, cut of marks from post utme are eliminated and now jamb score and waec performance comes into play. Have you bothered going to the school to inquire about the various modalities set out by each department. I believe you didn't but you are here spewing trash filled with ethnic bigotry. Youths like you should not have access to social media because it causes more harm than good for peeps like you. Don't believe everything you see on the Internet because they are not always true.
When are did my prescience at UNIZIK back in the 2000's,we were like 4000 that applied and not even a single of us was a Yoruba. After the program around 300 of us crossed the required cut of mark of 200 and their was no single Yoruba again and youths like you will now come and blame the school authorities for not getting admitted through prescience when clearly, no Yoruba applied.
I've taken this precious time out of my busy schedule to give you an insight about how things work so you will stop being less an ethnic jingoist and face your books so it will be better for you.
