The difference between Korra and Aang is the writers choice of what to use to limit their powers so the story will be interesting. In Aang's case, he was limited by his extremely pacifist nature, age, and the fact that he didn't master all four elements until the last season. These reasons are all easy to empathize with. Korra, however, is not a pacifist, is almost an adult, and has already mastered all four elements. The only thing limiting her is her mind - her tendency to act without thinking, PTSD, etc. People can't easily empathize with this, so they complain.

This is exactly why I likened Korra to an Ajebutter girl. C'mon, she has everything at her disposal: family, avatar state, the four elements, spirit world, just name it!

But yet...

Aang can connect to any spirit within seconds bt cnt enter the avatar state unless he is angry when appa was kidnap he was so angry and enter the avatar state easily when toph told him who kidnap appa. When Azula struck him down he was not fully in, he was stil connecting.

In the last season and this current one, Korra seems to be entering the spirit world like pure water.


But in Aang days, the reverse was the case.

the idea behind forming them is using tension and relief. You need to play a chord that sounds wicked to the ear and then move on to another chord that will appease the ear. If not, all eyes would be on you. Most times I do them instinctively

Talking about Aang vs Korra.

Aang was better, no doubt! He's like an ajepako kid, he had to struggle for everything, from elements to love and in the end he got it right.

Unlike Korra, who is more or less an ajebutter kid, she had and still has everything at her disposal talk of civilization, talk of teachers, talk of bending infant Korra mastered all four elements + avatar state in on season. Even with all these, she still fumbles.


The only way Korra is better is because she faces more dangerous enemies than Aang.

But lightning is not everything, remember that if not for Katara, Zuko would have beaten Azula although Azula lost it towards the end of s3 and according to your analysis Mako is enough match for Azula.

The only sure way Azula can defeat Korra is with the help of those two girls.

Do you remember how Korra single handedly beat the likes of Zaheer, the larva bender and that water bending witch even with the metal poison?

Now imagine, the same Korra couldn't beat an earth + metal bender even though she could bend 4 elements flawlessly and did I forget that she had the avatar state at her finger tips.


Summary: The trauma doesn't explain nor justifiy anything!
