Go and tell your staff to do smth on the price, shi kena.
The same reason why private university fees are high. Who will give them money to pay their workers?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Jobs/vacancies Section Chatroom by karleone(m):
Is it me waking up early? Or, are we on strike today? 'Cos I'm still wondering why I am the first to say Good Morning today.. Anyways, it's a wonderful thing to be first to comment in this room in this very New Month- the last for the year.

It brings great hope to me seeing that I've gotten this far in this year that has been so wonderful to me and my family. First, for the successful completion of my National Youth Service. Secondly, Elder Sis got married, two younger siblings gained admission; and the happiest of all, Elder brother became a Chartered Insurer (Oh! Sorry, he passed his final exams). Oh! What a lovely year it has been.

Wish to use this awesome moment to say a very big THANK YOU to the 'Inspirations' I've got in this Job street (in Amicable09's words). Those I've followed all through the year that have inspired me to success. Those that have created threads that has taught me a great deal. I can't thank you all enough. But I pray your heart desires be met, even before the year runs out.
For those of us still in the job hunting race, you'll never be left behind; for those already employed, you'll never remain in a position cos your promotion (which is your development of the next level performance) will come knocking soon.

Oh! How I wish I could be graced to see you all. To behold the faces behind these masks called moniker. Anyways, I think it's better we remain hidden to ourselves and enjoy the friendship more.
Have a lovely day
Happy New Month

Ich Danke Ihnen...

Itz quite helpful but mostly for the experienced hires
PropertiesRe: Construction Journal | Browne Mews By Nexthome by karleone(m): 10:18am On Nov 30, 2015
Hello Sir,
I've followed most of your construction works and have come to notice that your foundations are mostly raft even when the soil (human eyes) seems stable. Why is it so?

@karleone, what is the difference between raft foundation and strip. I am not an expert in this field, so assume zero knowledge.
Both are kinds of shallow foundation.
They are considered for use based on soil condition at site. For a strip foundation, its length exceeds its breadth.
Whereas, the raft is a combination of slab and beam structures cast monolithically to transfer load from the house to the supporting soil. Rafts are considered where the supporting soil is a loose soil but usage is determined from soil test/structural engineer recommendation.
For further information on the above, check out google. If you don't understand anything from there (google), then you can ask me.

Attached is a picture of a strip foundation.

Note:
Foundations can have a combination of pad and strip

@OP, why did you opt for a raft foundation instead of a strip foundation? If it's based on soil condition, did you carry out a soil test before construction?
Science/TechnologyRe: Top Five Nigerian Scientists And Their Great Inventions by karleone(m): 7:29pm On Nov 29, 2015
Where is Professor Amagh Nduka?

Professor Nduka has made many outstanding contributions
to science. Most profound is his theory: The Absolute
Theory of Science.
This theory subsumes all other theories in science, including his Third Revolution Theory in Science after the order of Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein (i.e. first and second revolution respectively). This theory, the absolute theory of science, explains (theoretically and
mathematically) nuclear physics, atomic physics, boson
physics, nuclear fussion, astrophysics and elementary
particle physics – areas of physics which its theorization has
since the 1920’s remained static. The theory also provides,
for the first time ever, explanations to boson and fermio-
boson physics – areas which have eluded physicists since
the inception of physical enquiry.

He has also created an entirely new mathematics called
discrete geometry or quantum mathematics, with which
arsenal he made yet another striking contribution by giving
a formal theoretical calculation of the mass of the neutrino – one of the most controversial in particle physics.

Ok, let's set a faith date...lol. what do you say?

Good morning Nairaland,

I have been watching you guys from the sidelines for some time now. The hustle is real mehn grin
Hoping to change my job real soon. Don't ask me why.

If you need me to introduce myself then I'd say go back to page 100 and something. I already did a good introduction there.

Salud mi familia

Like seriously? @bolded
Why do you want to change your job in this period of "no jobs"?

Good morning good people of Nairaland and Job Street Landlords. How una dey?
Hmm... This job hunting stuff ain't yielding fruit(s) o. No hope lost sha. Maybe I'll have to change my hunting techniques. BTW, see me see wahala yesterday o... It seems most of these scam companies are taking someone's "no job" situation for child's play. I got 3 different text messages from one MG Resources for a proposed interview (abi na briefing) in Lagos. The funny thing about the messages is that they came with different phone numbers to contact for feedback. And the address directions all came in different format, though they were directed to 161 Ikorodu Road, Onipanu. Somebody should help me warn them o, else, I'll sue someone for privacy breach.

I'll be back...

Oops! Has it come to that? Whatever happened to so-called Christians these days. I shared my opinion and the next thing is to curse? If only you truly apply Romans 12:17-19 in your daily life, then you'll probably make less enemy.
It's so sad that many are very quick to castigate terrorists but they also exhibit terrorist tendencies-give them the opportunity and they will exterminate all those who do not align with their belief. So sad!
My dear, I wasn't hoping for your alignment to my type of faith. Sorry if the "Heresy" and "Stake" thing got you annoyed. It's something we (I and my friends in school then) use to show our pessimism to a statement we don't like, in relation to faith [it's joke related]. But my point is already made.
Well, when I'm ready for scriptural talks, I'll let you know.

well unlike what u think some of us have been reminded and inspired to do good. if I didn't see this today I won't have been kind hearted enough to help a friend who was in dire financial straits today knowing fully well that he can't pay back even if he promised to...u can sing my praise or better still don't but get the message; help people unconditionally. do good without expecting reward...peace be with u...
The point is not about helping someone or saving a life. It's about taking pictures of your act and coming to NL to create a thread so the world will see your good deeds and praise your generosity. To me that's pride in humility.
Do you know how many people who go about, everyday, doing good? The OP has just gotten his reward (human praises) for the good deed. He definitely could have left it a secret assistance and wait on God for his reward(s).

Tomorrow you'll see someone create a thread on how s/he helped an aging mother cross the highway and seek my "you did good" post. Smh... Nairalanders and their attention seeking attitude sef.
