My dear, if u wana get in with just 2.1, dat your connection go long pass 3rd mainland bridge... I never say pple its impossible. You must have a sponsor. Datz an alias for a godfather as used in the industry. Even wit a sponsor, u must hav an employable profile (minimum of 2.1), if not "no show"... By this standard, I'm referring to peeps dat read oil and gas related courses... Not management courses.

I'm not an engineer but a geoscientist. I also haven't worked offshore. But if you want figures, we are talking about 1.5million+ for experience hire and + or - 800k for a rookie

Pls help me tell him! The amount sounds incredible. No oil worker in MNC will ever show you his pay slip. His cumulative earnings per annum is I have stated earlier. I didn't even go as far as giving you gist of other benefits.

Like I replied in my earlier post, engineer's pay in d industry are skyrocketing high. Asides that, any job that takes you offshore pays like blood money. There are several hazards attached to the job. So I'm guessing you can provide answer to your question.

I don't know for instrumentation, but as for production engr, its most certainly high. oil n gas coys don't joke with their engineers (reservoir/production engrs).. They are seen as Oilfield Doctors! We, geoscientist don't get as pampered as dem.

That amount is within the price range of a trainee in an oil n gas servicing company. He may not be lying. The down side working with some servicing companies, esply privately owned one, he can remain in that salary structure till thy kingdom come!

please the amounts i mentioned earlier as for geoscientist (geologists and geophysicist) and reversoir engineers (petroleum engineers). My oga arguing with me dat slb doesnt pay that much, they do!

yes. multinational oil and gas companies pay according to global standard. coz u can be deployed anywhere in the world.

Shell - approx. 650k monthly
ExxonMobil and Total - approx 16m-17m per annum
Schlumberger - approx. 800k monthly

The gist is, exploration and production companies pays at least 500k monthly with other benefits while servicing companies starts from 200k.

But you MUST have your masters before you can get in!

brother, geology is wide.... more than you can imagine. just that most of our focus is in the oil and gas industry... oil discovery is close to impossible without a geoscientist. Geoscientist and Petroleum Engineers sld top the list. I can tell you authoritatively that the least an entry level geoscientist in a MNC is 650k monthly, asides other benefits and allowances.

I said from experience... it is not what I intend to do, but what I have done.

Back then, i kept paying different batches of pple. each syndicate keep telling me i paid to the wrong person. Na with annoyance i involve military. house was completed with 3 months.

Speaking from experience, the best way is to have enough money to complete the building within a short period and invite mobil police men or soldiers to guard your property till completion. Its not so expensive if one is connected to a head in any of these special forces.

Now we wld start seeing ridiculous queues.. damnit
