A Nigerian delegation representing President Goodluck Jonathan looked on in awe yesterday as Niger Republic’s brand new oil refinery was commissioned at Zinder, close to the Nigerian border. The refinery will immediately satisfy Niger Republic’s domestic requirements and leave a huge surplus for export, with one very likely destination---Nigeria.What a pitiable continent with redundant leaders of very low IQ. How could an ordinary project activity such as commissioning of a 20,000 barrel refinery attract another country’s president or delegates? Only God knows the president billed for the Rivers state own refinery take-off event. Meanwhile, as I write now, there are space missions searching for life in other planets beside this earth. Who knows, in the near future, alternative energy sources may be from these planets rendering the “African-continent-destroying-crude-oil” worthless. Obama was not even present in Florida when NASA launched the most capable machine ever built to land on Mars moving at a speed of 10km/s. |
@ SAFOI can’t just make out why everybody has chosen to pay no attention to the lone truth on this subject as exposed by SAFO. It informs me that we humans continually resent the reality. Well done SAFO. |
@afamYou just spoke my mind. Supported!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How possibly will a league that attracts the best football players in the world not be the best in the world? Haba! Let’s even for argument sake admit that the laliga is a 2-man team, then the EPL can be argued in the same manner, after all in the last years back; it's being only Manu or Chelsea capturing the trophies. So what’s the difference? |
The question is do Men of God qualify to be called good role models? To begin with, there's nobody with assigned title “man of God”. We all are! Secondly, your role model as a Christian MUST the founder. On the judgement day, your reward or penalty would be exclusively dependent on how you lived your days on earth and not how you were influenced by the so called role models cum “men of God”. |
@jayriginal You have my sympathy."You have my sympathy"!!! That's the arrogance of strong belief. Are you sympathising with him because he's ignorant and you are right? You guys are all the same, stuck to your own opinion and never see reasons with anything contrary. |
Useless discussion. If you want to be an atheist or otherwise, that's your business. Why must such an evidently personal preference be subject of open ponder? Both atheists and theists adopt similar approach, which is, vehemently affirming their viewpoints. I don’t see any difference even on this thread. |
@Eko Ile. Why do you hate the Ibos that much? You are supposed to be female! Females don't hate like that. I have never seen a thing like this before. Abeg take am easy. |
Pls just calm your nerves and read with UNDERSTANDING ! Islam prohibits terrorism read Surah Maidah 15 vs 32, . People should please try to differenciate religion and politics , fight for freedom and Justice , and especially to those islamic critics , But its saddening to know how the US govt carryout their foreign policy on wealthy islamic countries and labelled against islamic groups through the western media , but no matter what they do to blackmail islam as terrorism , islam is still the religion of peace !Statement like this confirms actually how Muslims think. Who is the biggest terrorist? This is one of the key justifications for terrorism. Another reason behind terrorism is that millions of Muslims believe the Mahdi (a Muslim Messiah) will one day return to save humanity. But before he can appear, Israel and America must be destroyed. Therefore destruction of America and Israel is a religious duty and every Muslim, secretly (like nairaland Muslims) or openly support terrorist attacks on anything relating to America and Israel hiding under the cover of self defence. Only a fool who has refused to learn would believe that "Islam is a religion of peace". It’s only peaceful when you accept the faith but if you don’t, you’re considered a traitor that must be destroyed by any means. |
@Karpenter, u need to attend a madrasa to know what islam is about, odawise buy the 40 hadith of An-Nawawi (pronounced as spelt), make sure u get the english translated version & endeavour to read it, u'll probably know the epicentre of islam,[b]The bolded: You are invariable supporting an intended violent act by Mutallab, probable because he's a fellow muslim and you still don't understand why many label Islam anything but peaceful religion. You guys are all the same. Churches can rip you off as you claim, but nobody forces you to part with your resources. It's your choice. That's how religion should be |
this is why you need to ask questions and from the right people . Not every Muslim is a terrorist. Not every American supports the government's foreign policies. The words of the Qur'an that mention the use of violence have specific rules to them. Most were in retaliation to oppression from the pagans of Mecca at the time. What a comparison! Is Islam a country that was being invaded by pagans of mecca? How were the pagans oppressing Islam? By not believing? Must you fight to convince unbelievers? Nah by force? That is mostly what Islam is all about. Stop beating about the bush. |
this boy is silly and slow,he is just turning islam the religion of peaceWho told you Islam is a religion of peace? Why do we just don't tell ourselves the simple truth? Believe it or not, the long term ambition of every Muslim is to assist in ensuring that all human beings become Muslim either by persuasion or mostly by force. |
Guys, you don’t hate Barca. You are just disgusted by the fact that Barca constantly thrashes your substandard British teams. For Chelsea fans, the grudge is because he’s torturing your “special one” who gave you the mediocre-colonial-falling-empire-league title after fifty years. I despise everything concerning that useless discriminating British state and always extremely glad anytime their teams are defeated in any tournament. Actually, I am still celebrating their disgraceful elimination in the ongoing Rugby world cup. |
You are right, we expect exemplary behavior and conduct from our leaders and when ever they sidestep good conduct, we have every right to question their judgment.Gbam!!!! Nothing more to add. |
as if you matter. If I don't matter, it doesn't matter for the reason that you don’t matter as well. I loved trophy winning moments by a Madrid team that exhibited the type of football Barca is playing today. If that’s a source of consternation for you, so be it. Zero apologies!!!!! |
Typical MADdrid fans, instead of you to reasoned that your Coach is breeding indiscpline players, you are finding fault with officiating. Real Madrid are not known with this type of indiscipline style of plays before MADrinho came in as Coach.Right on point bro. I used to love Madrid, in the days of Zidane, Rodondo, Raul, etc. Then, madrid didn't exhibit the type of indiscipline now being witnessed under Mohrinho. I wonder what madrid fans want officials to do. To play blindness to Madrid rough tackles? I am yet to see any red card issued to madrid that they don't deserve. |
@ Eko Ile First time I agree with you. It's all about hatred for Tinubu. What if the Governor was on sick leave? Oyo state administration would grind to a halt? This arguement is baseless and childish. |
^^^ So what has Fashola done? Assume I am wrong and tell me.Thank God somebody is saying what I have observed for long time. I go to Lagos occasionally, believe me, I don't seem to see or observe the so called wonderful Fashola's achievements. But the euphoria was so much that I just kept quiet. |
What did his trip to Abuja achieve? Mind you, there's no one that can solve all problems but the timing of that trip, considering the fact that over two hundred people died in Ibadan and many are still missing, is wrong.I don't truly know a great deal on events in Ibadan. I don't reside there. As you pointed out, it appears Ajimobi is underperforming? But my argument is that even if he rather stayed back than showed solidarity in Abuja, the underperformance won't change. One or two days visit to Abuja is of no consequence to Oyo administration. I understand there is even a deputy governor? |
I'm not a fan of Akala because he's also not known for decorum, discipline or performance but he has raised valid points here. What if Ajimobi stayed back and didn't go to Abuja? "Emergency at home" will be resolved? Fashola didn't go to Abuja, right!!! and all Lagos problems are solved? This nairaland people sef. |
Perhaps, very soon Fashola may somehow be included on the list of folks behind Tinubu’s travails since he didn't show up in Abuja for solidarity. Watch out!!!!! |
@nayah You’re pretty and if postings are to form basis for assessment, I can add you're simple minded and kind of down-to -earth gal. I like that. |
Nigeria didn't jump the gun, rather AU was guided by immoral and dictatorial individuals who felt the need to stick by their kind and benefactor. There was no option at the time they were making noise, NTC was getting all the support their needed from NATO anyway and they were obviously going to form a government. Who were they fighting to be included in the government anyway? Is it the same people that were being killed by one man's ego tripping while their kept quiet and were instead giving Gadaffi false assurances of meaningless support? What was NATO guided by? Lybia's oil of course. |
I hate English league. Apart from constant referees favouritism, english league fixtures are always geared towards ensuring continue ManU success. How could you explain that all the top four teams are playing ManU away in this first half of the season? Who are they fooling? Except one who doesn't know that the first half of the season is when clubs are full of energy, zeal, ambition, more competitive spirit and fewer injuries. In the second half of the season, a top team is most likely unreachable and the associated confidence ensures that this team continues on the path of success even in away games. |
that why you need to go and learn more, ok why did Pharaoh enslave all Israelite for years? This guy sef. Do you need to be told that the Israelites were enslaved to provide cheap labour and abundant skills. How do you think the famous pyramids were built? Abeg, Pharoh(s) never claimed to be a god that must be worshipped by exiled jews or even the egyptian citizens. I don tire for dis kin cycle of arguements. |
you see go back to your pastor to learn more about prophet, God sent his prophet to his household and his people so they are all prophet of God and follow God commandment and who is pharaoh and Goliath going against? they are going against God and asking people to worship them and waging war against IsraeliteI think you're the one who should really go and learn more. I am not aware that pharoh or goliath asked people to worship them and waged war cos they refused to worship? Who told you that? |
Moses Wage war against Pharaoh and his soldier and call on God to for help and they get perished in the red sea, David Wage war against Goliath that wage war against them, Solomon wage war against God enemy, Saul wage war against God enemy. so that was God commandment to all his messengerMy friend, don't confuse civil wars between different tribes with religous wars or penalties specified in 5.33. Were Moses and David christains? or Pharoh/Goliath moslems.? |
I don't see how what GEJ said is wrong. I am also very curious as to why CPC suddenly wishes to go against everything they have said about the elections and effectively pin their supporters to GEJ's train.Beaf, you're just too intelligent!!!!! Extremely love this your prompt response. Carry on!!! |
"Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment." , just read from quaran 5.33. that was exactly what the past prophet preach and when Satan go againt God wish what happen? God sent satan out of the paradise even when people are going against God wish and turning the Synagogue to market Jesus destroy there good and throw them away and send them away from the synagogue saying they turn his fathers house to Market so get your fact rightOk, God sent satan out of the paradise but didn't kill him? and Jesus destroyed goods and threw people away from synagogue but nobody was killed, Right? How could you then use these bloodless acts to justify the Quoran 5.33 stipulated penalties? Namely "the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land", |
