Hello everyone! I live in a 2 bedroom apartment somewhere in Lagos. Two yrs ago when I got the place, I moved in with my guy who traveled to the US last yr. It was a large compound with 4 flats and a boys quarter. Only 2 flats were occupied before I moved in. The first occupant are married with kids and the other is a single mum who shares the flat with her mum and sister


When I moved in initially, I had no issues with nobody as I am always out for work and my guy is home till I return. Most times when I'm returning, I'll call my guy to hangout in a bar 2 streets away before we eventually retire home. The married couple are actually very nice set of people and I actually don't have any thing against them. My concern is the single mum who has been some kind of bone in my neck for sometime now.


I was really bubbling with cash when we moved in as my big generator is always on whenever the phcn light is off and my home was a mecca of sorts by friends. She actually seem to be cordial at first always giving insight on what to do whenever something goes bad in the vicinity which I find cool.

Early last year just before my guy traveled she started acting weird and funny. I notice whenever I greet her she doesn't respond. At first I thought maybe at that point she was having a bad day but on 3 consecutive times she bluffed my greetings, that was when I realised she was doing it intentionally. And of course I stopped greeting her. There have been like 3 incidence that made me mad at her. On one occasion, I came home late with my guy when we went out drinking. We didn't have the keys to the gate around 11:30pm and so I called her number it rang continually then switched off. I banged the gate till the other lady opened for us. The next day, I fabricated the keys to avoid such occurrence. Again, at another occassion, I was racing back from work having stomach upsets mid way home. Had to fly bike without pricing just to avoid disgracing my self that evening. Behold, the gate was hooked from inside, so I could not use the key. I banged again and no one answered. I peeped through the gate hole and could see her moving in the compound obviously hearing my voice but ignored the call until the other lady again sent her house help to open for me. In a moment, the stomach upset vanished and I flared at her right there. Thirdly, anytime I'm around she calls her boy to come in and I wonder if I look like a kidnapper lolz


I became scared of the kind of place I rented because the other lady moved to the next compound and we became just 2 tenants before another gal occupying the boys quarter joined us this yr. You know as a banchelor, my flat was a bee hive of ladies especially my guy who has a penchant for gals far bigger and older than him. As such, ladies flock around but I do mine at a moderate level. This part has made people I shared her strange behavior with say probably she's tripping and might want to get my attention.
Meanwhile, my friend has always indicated interest on her but I told him to backoff cos it doesn't make sense to me especially as we're in same compound. He agreed but I don't trust him as he has a spec for women older than him like I mentioned earlier. I would buy fuel worth 4k in gen then and run it all night and morning. And just when I couldn't do a few days my nigga went to her to help charge his phone and tab without telling me because he knows I'll not agree. I felt bad because to me he's not just stooping low but had an agenda which I didn't see anything between them before he traveled out.


However, this morning, I was home and I went to gate to usher in a plumber to fix the tap in my room. Just when I turned, lo and behold I caught her spying on me from her doorstep lolz. I hissed because I already hated her for her silly attitudes. Though I felt later on I shouldn't have hissed. Meanwhile, my gal including a couple of gals who come to see me have always complained she spies of us going out but I've never noticed it cos I'm always concerned where I'm going. Ultimately they are right cos I just caught her today after 2 yrs in same compound.


Now my concern is, I'm not really OK staying in the place anymore. I'm thinking of moving even before my rent is due. I spoke with a senior female colleague in the work place and she advised I should ensure my doors are locked and stop hanging clothes outside. I'm just tired living in an environment of suspicion and fear. I practically hang my clothes indoors these days with the advice I got. Should I talk to her why she acts the way she does and not accept my greeting or just let her be?
