Marrying could imply intent to contract a monogamous marriage. It would be unfair to a spouse, if the other goes round and violates the agreement. Besides, a woman is not presently barred from having more than a marriage.

There is no reason whatsoever for Russia and China to fight an apocalyptic war all for the sake of Iran.

Why would China and Russia fight for Iran?

Whatever makes you sleep at night. "Marriage is not a contract" #illiterate

I think Deepsight has adequately answered the first question.

But whats the role of design of creation, when infused into a void world?
Politics › Re: Your Thoughts On The Banning Of Same-sex Marriage In Nigeria by Kay17: 6:39pm On Dec 09, 2011
HAAA!!

Its obvious that you are an illiterate. But its not bad, there is still hope for you.

But its unfortunate you keep using your religious views to weight this matter. I hope you could open your mind to learn more.
Politics › Re: Your Thoughts On The Banning Of Same-sex Marriage In Nigeria by Kay17: 5:49pm On Dec 09, 2011
Its like you are daft. Marriages are basically contracts. No consent, no marriage. Finish. As to bestiality, culture matters a lot. Some religions partake bestial rituals, as a result its no use criminalizing it. Society should decide.

Sagamite:
We are discussing homosexuality, and u are describing multiculturalism!

ANSWER THE FCKING QUESTION!

Who do you think you can bullshit?

Sagamite?

Mooron! Bestiality cannot be a sexual preference?
Hey guy, if you cant express your points well, then its not by force you post anything! Keep out the insults! How can someone marry an animal? What kind of contract can exist btw the two? At least a same sex marriage has two persons! Or can someone have a contract with himself? No! So there is no similarity btw bestiality and homosexuality.
Politics › Re: Your Thoughts On The Banning Of Same-sex Marriage In Nigeria by Kay17: 3:46pm On Dec 09, 2011
@sagamite

We are discussing homosexuality, and u are asking questions on bestiality, what does that have to do with homosexuality?

Plus u keep hammering on grammar, grammar if not that, the West, if not that, polygamy. Pls lets focus on the discussion.
Politics › Re: Your Thoughts On The Banning Of Same-sex Marriage In Nigeria by Kay17: 11:14am On Dec 09, 2011
Your question is an apparent diversion from what we are discussing. Thus i'm asking for the bearing it has to do with the discussion.

Sagamite:
So in your multi-cultural world will "bestiality" and "nudism" be allowed without "persecution"?
First point out the similarity btw nudism, bestiality and homosexuality. Also point out the diff btw bestiality, nudism and atheism

Sagamite:
Really?

Ok, lets test it.

No 1, are you g.a.y?

No 2, why do you think homosexuality should be accepted?
No.

I feel living in a multicultural world, and where personal freedom has become a value, and homosexuality is another sexual preference. Thus persecuting them is simply persecuting a difference. And oppression on account of difference is just another evil.

@m_nwa

Consequently the radiations are reflections are the God self. They are life like their creator, more of extensions. Or whats ur test of constituting a "part"

@deepsight

I do agree with you on this line, that we are all from that something, we are extensions of it; likewise the general character of all "creation" could accurately be the character of that something. Our "design" reminds us of the "design" of that something
Christianity Etc › Re: Deepsight, Does Your God Create From Ex Nihilo by Kay17(op): 11:29am On Dec 08, 2011
@1godfather

I dont there is any scientific theory that asserts something or an activity out of nothing. Nothing frequently referred to is space loaded with matter and energy. Its contradictory to assert a quality of barreness is productivity. Creating from nothing is impossible and only made possible by an omnipotent being (with its own logical contradictions).

You also raise finetuning, but IF something is created out of nothing, why does it need any design? What is the role of a design to an entity living in nothing?
Christianity Etc › Re: Deepsight, Does Your God Create From Ex Nihilo by Kay17(op): 4:17pm On Dec 07, 2011
@m_nwa

I think we should keep it pure. An arm if severed is still part of an individual likewise artistic expression; its part of one's personality, as an extension.

I think Islam forbids a woman from having more than one husband.

However, it is a matter of oppression. Ppl shouldnt be picked and punished for lack of conformity. Its undemocratic. One man's meat is another's poison.

Politics › Re: Nigeria Is Not Ready For State Police - GEJ by Kay17: 10:53am On Dec 07, 2011
The only problem is the integrity of state police. The possibility of being tools of oppression and violent partisan politics is too great. Imagine those pogroms in the North being assisted by state police.

If its well trained and well funded, it could be extremely useful. But unlike other countries, esp the developed ones, the history of community police has always been there. Its like a sacred institution. Maybe Nigeria is not destined for it. Our divisive history doesnt help either.

The federal police should simply be doubled, tripled.
Hi Kay. I do not see a contradiction. Consider the sun and its rays. Although it is again a crude analogy, the rays of the sun came from the sun but the rays of the sun are not the sun. Again, work of art is an expression of the "mind" of an artist but the artist is not the same as the art. In these examples, you will not see even a particle of the artist in his art nor will you see a particle of the sun in a ray from the sun. When you express your volition via your actions, thoughts or imagination, you will not find a single particle of Kay in your words, thoughts and actions. In my perception it is erroneous to surmise that the same consciousness  in Kay can be found in Kay`s actions, words and thoughts. Kay is the creator of his actions, thoughts and words but his words, thoughts or actions are neither Kay nor the creator of Kay.

I think I have already addressed the issue when I said that an act of Gods will is what presses these radiations into cooling off, encapsulation as cosmic seeds, explosion of these seeds and the birth of universes (physical and non-physical). The birth, development and decay of the forms of these radiations are also "programmed" by the creative will of God. Best Wishes.
From your analogy, i could conclude that my arm is not me?!

Sun rays are not wholly the Sun, but are part of the Sun. An artist shares a piece of his mind in an artwork. Ur kind of Radiations can be likened to sun rays, they are composed of the same materials as the sun, they are more or less copies of Sun.
Christianity Etc › Re: Deepsight, Does Your God Create From Ex Nihilo by Kay17(op): 6:12pm On Dec 06, 2011
^^ all radiations derive their source from God but not part of him? Dont u see that as a contradiction? Is there any effort made (creative wise) in developing these radiations?
Christianity Etc › Re: Deepsight, Does Your God Create From Ex Nihilo by Kay17(op): 8:30am On Dec 06, 2011
@idehn

I think i would go with whatever Deepsight sees his God as. Just want to understand the height of his power

@davidlyan

what ever existed before is definitely a part of us (assuming we are not created from nothing). Also, no one has been able to prove the creation or even destruction of matter.
Christianity Etc › Re: Deepsight, Does Your God Create From Ex Nihilo by Kay17(op): 12:34am On Dec 06, 2011
I do feel, matter in its simplest form excludes it from the rule of causality. Just the same way reality does not need a cause. Its from matter everything in the universe is composed of. Simply an extension of what preexisted. As to an alternate reality (spiritual) the agnostic stand of most believers leaves so much incomplete.

However, Deepsight's God is quite fascinating and seems accessible via reason.
Christianity Etc › Re: Deepsight, Does Your God Create From Ex Nihilo by Kay17(op): 9:03pm On Dec 05, 2011
@davidlyan

i dont believe anything came from nothing. I think matter is eternal, and simply changes form.
Christianity Etc › Re: Deepsight, Does Your God Create From Ex Nihilo by Kay17(op): 9:02pm On Dec 05, 2011
Thanx for the effort deepsight. Can one say God is not a being as a singularity, but aggregate of conditions?

Also, how does the nature of God result to our own existence and consciousness? Are we a part of God? Whats the role of design in us and God?
Christianity Etc › Deepsight, Does Your God Create From Ex Nihilo by Kay17(op): 1:14pm On Dec 05, 2011
The idea of God, as the supreme uncaused Cause, helps in escaping the irrationality of springing out of an absolutely unproductive void -- nothing. But in an empty world, there would be God and nothing, but now there is us and something. Does that mean your God created from NOTHING? Also in your view, is design necessary for a creation out of nothing, with no rule or character to conform with?

Is your God omnipotent in this respect?

Christianity Etc › Re: Atheism - Revisiting The Burden Of Proof by Kay17: 9:16am On Dec 04, 2011
No justcool, the burden of proof is not limited to accusations. Whoever makes a positive claim, which obviously cannot float is to prove it before it shifts.

Exception if presumptions have already been made. But in this case, a clear slate is assumed and an assertion must be proven. Burden of proof cant be on both.
Christianity Etc › Re: Atheism - Revisiting The Burden Of Proof by Kay17: 12:22am On Dec 04, 2011
Its like in a court of law, an existing law is always proven by whoever asserts despite the obvious.

What happens in the West is irrelevant. I live in Nigeria, neither am i a Western jurist.

Neither do i frown at polygamy. Besides this is a silly distraction from the topic.
