Christianity Etc › Re: God And Evil by Kay17(op): 12:24pm On Nov 25, 2011
Yes all beings are multifaceted, numerous attributes will be needed to understand the essence of such a being. If some attributes are incompatible with one another, then making an argument for wholeness of contradictions does not make sense.

If there is evil in an allgood being, then it STOPS being allgood.

I can safely conclude from ur posts that Allah (muslim God) is not all good

DOING THINGS FOR GOD, would an ablebodied man need a wheelchair? An omnipotent being will not need cultists to DO THings for him.
Christianity Etc › Re: God And Evil by Kay17(op): 9:55am On Nov 25, 2011
@tbaba

Nice effort. However, you seem to define 'good' as a wish of God, as an expressive attribute. Thus if he does evil, its a 'good'. This would unfortunately lead to a contradiction or making nonsense out of what its understood about 'good'

Evil is the sum total of opposition which cripples, corrupts, hampers human development both physical and mental.

However, if as you define good is not antithetical to evil, then God cant be said to omnibenevolent.
Islam › Re: Questions For Muslims: For Those Who Want To Know by Kay17: 9:35am On Nov 25, 2011
I do feel that such criticism should be confined within issues of religious doctrine and not the character of the believers. Criticizing the Prophet Muhammed is still within doctrine.

@tb123
you do consider scientific theories which conflict with religious doctrines false? Why and on what basis?
Christianity Etc › Re: Churches Told Dying Patients They Were Cured by Kay17: 8:05am On Nov 25, 2011
Sorry for your loss. But government cant be used to clamp these ppl, they died with and from their faiths. So personal discretion covers it. The only option is to educate ppl on these matters
Christianity Etc › God And Evil by Kay17(op): 7:59am On Nov 25, 2011
The presence of Evil lays the biggest doubt of the existence of an OMNIBENEVOLENT God. If there is an all good being, who in his pursuits CHOOSES good despite his ability to do bad, why is there evil? If he has elected none? If he is all perfect?
Islam › Re: Differences Between Muhammad And Jesus by Kay17: 7:52am On Nov 25, 2011
Sirniyeh made a good point, ppl making enemies, killing themselves over alien and strange man worshipping religions. Its simply ridiculous judging divinity of two men on two books with doubtful evidential value

You are daft!
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do People Pray? by Kay17: 9:23pm On Nov 24, 2011
Why would prayers be needed, if there is an omniscient being who already knows all?!

If today you worship Jesus, then tomorrow it can be pastor Chris!
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Christ Embassy A Club Or A Church? by Kay17: 8:55pm On Nov 24, 2011
Christ Embassy is a church/nightclub filled with very ignorant ppl.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Descendant Of Apes by Kay17: 2:48pm On Nov 24, 2011
Thats a fundamental principle of science and creationism directly drives against it
Christianity Etc › Re: Atheism - Revisiting The Burden Of Proof by Kay17: 2:03pm On Nov 24, 2011
I do think that the cause and effect relationship cant go on infinitely, it would be terminated at a prior point before because it would lack a reason for causality for it would be too basic and simple.

Intelligent designer is not simple enough
Christianity Etc › Re: Atheism - Revisiting The Burden Of Proof by Kay17: 9:15am On Nov 24, 2011
I believe that the essence of intelligence is an awareness and appreciation of order and function; with the ability to imitate

^^your stagnant facts come with the help of your blindness
Christianity Etc › Re: Atheism - Revisiting The Burden Of Proof by Kay17: 11:24pm On Nov 23, 2011
@deepsight

The solution God results to further Complexity, as a "designer" he is prima facie implied that he is "designed" to fit his designer role. The simplest assumption is to clear the slate. And start from nothing. "Whoever asserts must prove" rule should still persist
Christianity Etc › Re: Who Created God? by Kay17: 8:29pm On Nov 23, 2011
^^ thats your opinion!
Christianity Etc › Re: The Descendant Of Apes by Kay17: 7:09pm On Nov 23, 2011
Science assumes a natural cause, creationism does not.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Descendant Of Apes by Kay17: 1:19pm On Nov 23, 2011
So you have no problem with Darwin?
Christianity Etc › Re: The Descendant Of Apes by Kay17: 12:33pm On Nov 23, 2011
^^ This is a good sign, Creationists are gradually evolving from morons to something reasonable. NATURAL SELECTIon as postulated by Darwin is being accepted by Ola.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Descendant Of Apes by Kay17: 12:03am On Nov 23, 2011
@gotiza nice!
Christianity Etc › Re: Atheism - Revisiting The Burden Of Proof by Kay17: 8:20pm On Nov 22, 2011
Dawkins favoured natural selection not chance. He simply argued against chance, thus laying basis for natural selection.
Christianity Etc › Re: Atheism - Revisiting The Burden Of Proof by Kay17: 3:17pm On Nov 22, 2011
The burden of proof is placed who goes beyond a simpler state. Its easier to assume 0 than to admit 1. Coupled with problem of ad infinitum, complexity and purpose; its safe to place the burden of proof he who asserts and transfer the burden to the 'negative' to disprove
Christianity Etc › Re: The Descendant Of Apes by Kay17: 2:49pm On Nov 22, 2011
Pls Uyi provide the passage where he said so. Thanks! Of course, its through reproduction mutation occurs, how else apart from radiation.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Descendant Of Apes by Kay17: 1:10pm On Nov 22, 2011
^^ No Darwin didnt say that! Also variation is the manifestation of mutations. Check out Lenski's experiment. Besides, shuffling delicately weaven genetic info is not harmful?
Christianity Etc › Re: The Descendant Of Apes by Kay17: 12:25pm On Nov 22, 2011
@Uyi

Evolution does not touch on the origin of life. Microorganisms are classic cases of mutations. Also you yourself, are a product of mutation, since your parents provided the same number of chromosomes for you and your siblings but u are different, with unique variations like fingerprints

Also, ID is not science. It violates the foundations of science.
Christianity Etc › Re: The True Religion by Kay17(op): 12:14pm On Nov 22, 2011
@Sweetnecta

Good effort, but the particulars of Islam is to limited to the revelation of Prophet Muhammed. Islam seems to spread only by propagation. Is possible for a person isolated in a remote location in another part of the world to GAIN the ideals of Islam without being told or preached to?

Propagation is limited to the extent of human technology in transportation and communication. Could any of our pagan ancestors have by reason, discovered Islam at about the time Muhammed got his revelation?

@Malstorm

You truth values are subjective?
Christianity Etc › Re: Is A Book Sufficient Enough To Guide Millions In Faith? by Kay17: 9:23am On Nov 22, 2011
One would have to assume that use of holy books is their "GOD" greatest ability!

The kind of love expressed when she is pregnant?

God yes, exists AS an idea but as a being No!
